Pixar's Soul Movie makes us reflect on how we live life

Wazzup Pilipinas!

“How are you going to spend your life?”

“I’m not sure. But I do know I’m going to live every minute of it”

I just finished watching Pixar's Soul Movie & it's a lovely one. It has tons of important life lessons & themes for everyone to enjoy. One of the best movies of 2020, if you have a Disney+ account, watch it asap.

We laughed, we cried, we cheered and we were reminded of our "spark"

Thank you Pixar for staring down the great beyond and reminding me why I love movies! Soul is another almost perfect film.

It was such a beautiful film. I love how it captured Nueva York. All the little details like rust on the gate. Also loved how baby souls were captured. So imaginative. Also what you think may be your spark might be something else.

Find your spark. Live every day to the fullest. Find your purpose. But that last part is questionable on how we interpret the structure of a purpose.

Your passion is not your purpose. We all have to remember that important life lesson.

It started off with a bang, with Jamie in the dilemma of trying to choose between following his passion versus the sensible/comfortable route.

And then everything went blue.

Watching the movie was an absolutely beautiful experience and I almost feel like my soul was given a second chance to enjoy live to the fullest as well.

It was a masterful take on life and death, especially given how poorly we handle those topics in our society.

This Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic has even limited how we lived our lives so as soon as it's over, I'm going to pack my bags and travel the world!

The Soul Movie was truly inspirational. It is such a creative way to tell children about the circle of life & that they can be whatever & do whatever they want in life.

How quickly this world and some people in it make us forget the unique us that we're made to be. Let us all reconnect with our spark & let's reawaken not just our soul but also the soul of this country.

Personally, I couldn’t have watched it at a better time. From start to finish it was brilliant and the message is so important. The representation is so top of everything else that matters. Truly, truly so good.

I’m emotional but I can’t stress enough I how moved I am by the movie. Honestly. I felt like I was watching at the perfect time and having a whole existential moment.

I melted watching this movie. Loved every second of it. The representation ..... I felt seen and spoken to.

“I'm just afraid that if I died today my life would have amounted to nothing.”

We would always take for granted our acts and thus consider the little things we do as negligible and unimportant. We rarwly realize that every little thing adds up to a totally huge part in somebody else's life.

I just feel bad that the Soul movie didn’t get a theatrical release..What a wonderful work of art, creativity and beauty.

The whole movie, my sons and I kept saying “Imagine this in IMAX,” “Imagine this with the Dolby Atmos sound system.” I hope they re-release it in theaters once it’s safe.

No matter how most people’s home setups can rival any theater, I’d argue that this movie served its purpose better in an intimate, smaller setting. There is a different magic when watched in a cinema house with a diverse audience. Imagine everyone sighing in awe at certain scenes.

Silver lining is, it’s now more financially accessible for all to see, as this isn’t just a kids movie!

Wonder Woman 84 wasted 2.5 hours of my life

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I grew up with Wonder Woman (WW) comics and series, and I enjoyed the first movie. The second movie? I’m sad to announce that I'm disappointed.

The first fifteen minutes was good then it went downhill. Plot holes, incorrect bias, token feminism, forced romance and undermining WW’s growth.

It's arguably the Cinematic Exemplar of 2020: #WonderWoman84. Not only is the plot incomprehensible, the acting laughable, but aside from Gal Gadot and Lynda Carter, everyone else should have been fired. A wondrously bad movie.

The only good scenes are Diana learning how to make a jet invisible and the Lynda Carter cameo at the end of the movie.

The special appearance of Lynda Carter as Asteria saved the overall crappy movie.

Is Lynda Carter coming back as Wonder Woman in the upcoming DCEU movie ''The Flash''? It is indeed good news that the 68 year old actress will be returning to the DC Universe after 4 decades.

Warning, Spoilers ahead:

Watched the 2.5 hours of #WonderWoman1984 last night and it was not what I expected from a Warner Brothers movie. It felt more like a TV series.

The story has a lot of loopholes or unexplained situations and many scenes were stretched too much it got boring. The appearance of the actual Cheetah and her defeat was not at all satisfying. It's the same experience with the main villain.

That scene when the main villain, Maxwell Lord, wished he would be the dream stone itself, I was expecting him turning into a stone. lol.

Having something taken from you by force in exchange of a wish was never established so I was surprised the main villain was capable of doing them.

In short, the movie just states that all our fervent wishes come at a price of having to sacrifice something else in exchange....and Wonder Woman was not really needed in the movie but just someone who understands how to manipulate human emotions to renounce their desires and just settle for what we have achieved.

This could have been because of the pandemic. The production had very troubled scheduling and opportunity to.polish the story and shots. Thus the end result is like a jigsaw puzzle that which parts were done by different people making the pieces awkward unfit for each other.

Honestly, I got bored to sleep.... exaggerating if I said death because I'm still alive to tell about it. When I woke up, the crap of a movie was still not over. It's like 2020's string of bad luck.

Enhance Business Websites by hiring Freelance Web Developers over Traditional Companies

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Suppose you are a business owner and embarking on a new project to improve your company website. In that case, you need to ascertain whether you would like to work with a professional freelancer or a web development and web design agency. For both, you need to weigh the pros and cons of each. Your time and budget, too, should be considered when it comes to hiring the best web developer or designer for your business website, as the costs of the project should be within your reach.

Evaluate the pros of working with freelancers

There are several advantages of working with a freelance web developer or designer for your business website. The biggest being the freelancer works at their own time and pace, making him/her more flexible than companies specializing in web development and design in more ways than one. If you are a business owner and need to work on your company website, this post will help you to gain a deeper insight into the key advantages of teaming up with a freelancer for your business projects.

7 advantages as to why freelancers are great to work with over traditional companies

1. Lower costs - Since freelance web developers and designers work from home, they can pass over many cost savings to you. They earn a good income as they work with several clients, and when you hire them, you pay for the hours they spend on your project. This means you no longer need to incur extra web development and design company costs like paying for the office facilities that companies charge you at their prices for a project.

2. Speed - Freelancers can make faster decisions than traditional web development and design companies. Revisions in tasks and design are accelerated when you work with a single individual. Since freelancers generally work longer hours at their own time and pace, they are able to deliver you the results as promised. Unlike offices, they do not have fixed working hours or days. Many freelancers even agree to work on weekends to complete a project in time. They might charge you extra for the work hours; they generally take more than usual, but still, you are saving costs as you are getting the final results delivered in time.

3. Expertise - Experienced freelancers have multiple skills and talents. Some of them wear many different hats when they work on your business website. Most of them are proficient in copywriting, UX design, graphic design, and even on more specialized subjects like working with platforms like Flosum release management and Salesforce. Most freelancers have worked professionally before, and so they often have valuable experience and knowledge under their belts. They want to work at liberty, and so they embrace self-employment to enjoy that freedom and space.

4. Quality - When it comes to web design quality from traditional companies specializing in the niche and freelancers, you need to check their portfolios first. It would be wrong to say that companies are better than freelancers when it comes to the quality of work delivered for web development and design. You need to do your homework well. This entails effort as you should check the portfolios of both the web development and design company with the freelancer's site.

Most professional freelancers will have an online portfolio for clients to view their past work and references. In order to get the desired quality of work, you need to carefully go through these portfolios to match their standards to your expectations. Moreover, the size of the business never determines the standards and the quality of work. A freelancer might have an outstanding portfolio online and agree to work with you at a lesser cost, whereas a large firm can have a terrible one and overcharge you for the work.

5. Communication - Another big advantage of working with a freelancer is you are communicating with a single professional. Unlike a company, you will not be speaking to many people for a single project. The freelancer gives you the benefits of direct communication with lesser hassles. To get the best freelancer for your project, you need to check how responsive the professional is to your phone and emails. Professional freelancers credible in the market are proactive, and they get back to you as soon as you contact them via email or messenger.

6. Loyalty - Freelancers are committed to their clients. They work with dedication as they focus on their client's projects only. They are available for future upgrades as and when needed. Companies, on the other hand, work on many projects simultaneously. The teams' levels of dedication and commitment are less as they manage many projects on a single desk. Companies fail their delivery deadlines most often because of this lack of dedication and commitment towards their clients. It is difficult for you to expect that every member of the web design and development team will have the same integrity and levels of dedication towards your project- this belief can only be expected from a freelancer.

7. Consistency - Freelancers understand the vital aspects of your site, and they ensure the style and tone of it is consistent. For any business website to work effectively for your business, all its components must be aligned together to function well. In fact, with a single individual working on your project, this alignment is done perfectly, and you often have no problems with the results. Since they generally have a higher level of expertise over companies as they work on diverse projects, they know precisely what your website needs. They keep track of the latest developments in the web development and design industry so that you get a modern fully-functional business website with success.

Freelancers are inevitably more flexible, available, and convenient to work with over companies specializing in web development and design. However, in order to get the best professionals for your project, visit credible freelancing sites, and read their reviews and client testimonials before you hire them. In this way, you can boost your business website's functionality and design and save money in the process too!
