The Order of Life: Get a Job; Get a Life; Have a Family; Get Married?! Wait, What?!

Wazzup Pilipinas!

We all know how the saying goes right? ‘Magasawa ka kapag may trabaho ka na!’ or simply put, get a job then get married. But in reality, this isn’t the exact case.

Here in the Philippines, we all know for a fact that the numbers of jobless people are far greater than those with proper jobs who earn enough for their families. Now, let’s start with that thought; A large number of jobless people are married and have a lot of kids. Just the thought of providing for a large family with around P500 worth of everyday budget isn’t enough. That alone could say that we should get a career first, or get a decent paying job, before ever thinking of marriage. A blunter way of saying it is ‘Make yourself useful and productive before claiming your girlfriend/boyfriend in the altar’. Kinda harsh in my opinion, but that’s how some would put it. Of course, there are even more reasons to this.

Let’s look at a futuristic sense, shall we?

Anne Curtis Smith is the Newest Dyesebel of ABS-CBN

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Anne Curtis Smith is Dyesebel, along with leading men Sam Milby and Gerald Anderson to star in ABS-CBN's newest "fantaserye" television series.

Dyesebel is the dream role of Anne since she was a child. She was very grateful that she was chosen by ABS-CBN inspite of the controversy she was involved in last 2013 where the famous line "I can buy you, your friend and this club". Now it seems it will be more like ""I can buy Ursula, her friends and this kingdom"

Biboy Arboleda said that on the process of choosing Dyesebel, ABS-CBN ran a marketing survey among different platforms including social media and Anne topped the list. Thus she was finally given the role of the Philippines' most popular mermaid character.

From Dyosa to Sirena, Anne as Dyesebel this 2014 will be an interesting watch on TV.

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The Social Media Revolution seminar is organized by Benita & Catalino Yap Foundation (BCYF) Technology Institute. In this event, you will learn more about digital marketing and also meet bloggers whose hearts are for social responsibility.

This will be on January 25, 2014 1 pm to 5:30 pm at the Amphitheatre of iAcademy, Makati.

The Social Media workshop this year was created specifically for bloggers to empower them to become socially responsible using social media as a tool. The organizers would like to make bloggers more active in writing blogs that would also benefit other people thru their own theme (ex. fashion, lifestyle, travel, film).

At the end of this event the bloggers would have a social media campaign using their own theme of blogging to apply/ implement right after the workshop.

The speakers are Ms. Janette Toral, Mr. Khoa Bui and Mr. Mark Delgado.
