IHOP Restaurant Breakfast Treats : BGCs Pancake Pleasure Place

Wazzup Pilipinas!

My kids call me the master chef of pancakes. Basically because I can cook them a lot better than my wife, or anybody else they know (like their Uncle) who tried cooking it for them. I've been cooking pancakes since my high school days that I believe I've mastered the right amount of water, butter - and heat of the cooking stove, (even knowing when is the right time to flip over the pancakes so that the other side will cook evenly) allowing me to create the perfect pancakes. I am such a lover of pancakes - both in cooking and eating them!

My friends and I had some early breakfast treats at Ihop Restaurant Bonifacio Global City (BGC) one morning before a certain task for that day. It was an opportunity to try out their meals.

I had some Hearty Ham and Cheese Omelette and "Strawberrified" Pancakes plus a Splashberry drink while my friend had the Bacon Temptation Omelette, original pancakes, and fresh Mango juice drink.

Another friend just had some fresh Mango juice drink - obviously on a diet to keep slim and sexy!

Karen Jimeno says as per BIR : Bloggers Should be Taxed

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Because the general rule is ANY income is subject to tax, even income from eBay sales must be reported and is taxed.

No distinction. Basta if you earn something, that's income and that's subject to tax.

I'm a blogger too. Does that mean as long as I have a website, I'm officially a taxpayer?

Only if you earn income from your website or if you get any payments from blogging.

Different types of ITR forms are filed with the BIR depending on type of income.

Online Slang Dictionary Gets the Panda Penalty

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Have you guys heard about the issue regarding the Online Slang Dictionary?

Apparently, the Big G has penalized the site because it contains citations of slang us gathered by hand from books, TV programs and other sources.

"This site has more than 5,300 citations of slang use gathered from published sources, but we can't show them to you. Google penalizes this site in search rankings when we do. And even though all of the citations were removed 145 days ago, the penalty is still in place because we used to show citations.

This is a bug in Google's code that applies the "Panda" penalty. Though Google has confirmed the penalty, they have been unwilling to enter into a dialogue with me about resolving it. The site was blacked out to mark the 400th day of the penalty. I hope this will call attention to the bug. I just don't know what else to do.

Please help me in spreading the word. If you've found The Online Slang Dictionary to be useful, please let your friends and colleagues know about the site."

Color Dash is Now More Fun with MultiRotor : Our Eye from the Sky!

What is that flying contraption with four propellers and somewhat like a spy camera hovering up in the skies of the Bonifacio Global City (BGC)?

It's going to be an eye from the sky that will be used by the organizers of Color Dash fun run to capture videos of the running event on May 11. Hopefully it will be able to give us an amazing aerial view and perspective of the happenings at the ground from a bird's eye view.

It's no doubt bringing more fun to the Color Dash event as everyone will have the opportunity to watch how they look like from above. Truly spectacular!

Binibining Pilipinas 2013 Fashion Show at the Smart Araneta Center

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I was at the Binibining Pilipinas 2013 Fashion Show with Venus Raj and Maggie Wilson at the Smart Araneta Center, also with Alma Concepcion. Video footage of the event below (more to be uploaded soon).

Fifty (50) beautiful ladies clad with heritage gowns from fashion icon Pitoy Moreno. There was also a fashion walk were some candidates were dressed in Jag sponsored outfits. The fashion show featured selected outfits that ranged from elegant gowns to fun and sexy formals, plus a man coming from the back of the audience, supposedly riddled with tattoos, caught everyone's attention as the 2nd part of the show began.

I was caught between getting a video or a photo coverage so I just decided to make a half-video (first part of the show) and half-photo (second part of the show) - a very long event for that night of glam and glory! So expect this write-up as just the first part of my story about the Binibining Pilipinas 2013 Fashion Show.

It's More Fun at Aliwan Fiesta 2013

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Aliwan Fiesta is an annual event that gathers different cultural festivals of the Philippines in Star City Complex in Pasay City wherein contingents compete in dance parade and float competitions, as well as in a beauty pageant. Now on its 11th edition, Aliwan Fiesta gets grander and more fun this year through its tie-up with the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), also with the collaboration of the City of Manila, City of Pasay, Cultural Center of the Philippines, and Star City.

Organized by Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) the event is dubbed as "The Mother of All Fiestas," with prizes totaling to P3 million (roughly US$70,000). Aliwan Fiesta aims to showcase the richness of different Filipino cultures and heritage not only to the people in Metro Manila but also to the rest of the world. The contingents, meanwhile, aim to promote their respective regions both economically and tourism-wise. It was originally organized as a visual extravaganza for the Christmas season, but it has since been held during the summer months of either April or May. Aliwan is a Tagalog word for "entertainment" or "amusement."

Dubbed as the “Mother of all Fiestas,” Aliwan is a three-day event organized and founded in 2003. It has since become a yearly festivity every April, gathering some of the country’s finest craftsmen, performers, and muses vying for the best float, best street dance, and the much-coveted Reyna ng Aliwan.
