Dutertards Versus Noytards: Which Army Do You Belong To?

Wazzup Pilipinas!

So a blogger asked me if I was under the payroll of the Yellow army since I keep criticizing the deeds of Duterte, his administration, and their supporters popularly called Dutertards.

Unlike some who would only post the positive and avoid political, intriguing or controversial opinions to keep in good standing with all, I chose to remain opinionated and sincere with my thoughts. I would not let myself be hold back by neutrality just to avoid conflict. Holding back would only further hurt and destroy us inside.

I find it healthier if we would not prevent ourselves from expressing our real intentions and beliefs. How can we understand each other if there is no clear communication among us? How can we find better solutions if we are prevented to discuss or debate on our ideas?

To disagree is a sign of critical thinking. Let us not fear to be judged if we support a less popular but appropriate choice. It is always admirable to choose the path less taken. Trying to get along with everyone should not stop us from being true to ourselves.

However, we should stop with the curses and slurs if we could no longer give a logical reasoning. Those who resort to personal attacks only shows how weak their stands are.

Am I under the payroll of the Yellow army? I am not even going to dignify that with a direct response. Just bear in mind that I would never utter something I don't fully believe in.

The failure of many is that they quickly conclude that if an individual is against the Dutertards, he is automatically among the Noytards. We should take note that life does not only revolve within the two factions only. I could be against Duterte, but it doesn't mean I support the Yellow army, and the other way around.

Sagasa 2015: Year-Ender Event from Aquino and Abaya of Malacanang

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"At pag hindi ho nangyari ito, nandyan ho si Secretary Abaya na nangangasiwa ng proyektong ito, dalawa na kaming MAGPAPASAGASA SA TREN KAPAG DI PA NATAPOS ITO BY 2015" - PNoy

President Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Aquino III better live up to his promise. Stand up on his "Daang Matuwid" with the "MRT" ready to run him and the DOTC Secretary Emilo Aguinaldo "Jun" Abaya over.

OK lang sana ipatupad iayn kung they will also honor their word of getting run over by a train. Spokesperson says we should not take literally the President's vow and that it was only a joke. Were all his previous words a joke?

Below are just some of the many posters created by netizens mocking the event that should happen today.

"Aw, Mr. President. It isn't about getting run over by a train. It's about failing in your promise to have the LRT 1 Cavite line done by 2015. Or was that the joke?

You know my kid takes that train. And you haven't even addressed its maintenance problems yet. Or if you have, you've not succeeded in getting it done. So I try not to think about how long it takes for my son to stand in line waiting for his ride. Or I shudder when he takes the bus because otherwise he will be late for class. A bus, quite possibly driven by someone who hasn't had enough sleep to take the wheel.

I wish you know what it's like to have to do this, but I feel you have little sympathy for the likes of us working stiffs, much less for my kids. Otherwise you wouldn't be so cavalier about how you have failed us and how you refuse to prosecute the people who have led us to this. How you continue to fail to hold anyone accountable for this terrible burden you've imposed on us. And yes you have imposed this on us.

So instead of apologizing for your abject FAILURE, you focus on the part where you say you were kidding about being run over. Geez, sir, we know it's a joke. Because damn it, we don't have enough trains to spare for running you and Abaya over." - Trixie Cruz-Angeles

What Situation did the President Compare the Supreme Court Decision to?

Wazzup Pilipinas!

In President Benigno Simeon Aquino III’s speech last week addressing the Disbursement Acceleration Program, he compared the Supreme Court’s decision to make it unconstitutional to a motorist getting arrested just because he parked his motorcycle in a no parking zone because he had to save the life of a victim who either go ran over by a bus or stabbed by a snatcher. It is a sorry situation for the victim to say the least. However, this comparison is far from the truth. President Aquino is not exactly a Good Samaritan since the Filipino people know him too well.

You have to give credit to whoever outlined the speech of President Aquino because that is a good comparison to tell the people. The people will think that the president was treated unfairly by the Supreme Court since they made the DAP unconstitutional. It looks like Aquino is not going to give up on trying appealing the decision of the Supreme Court anytime soon so you have to admire the courage of the President for trying. He is trying to show that he has leadership in this country which makes him the boss but he has stated several times in his speeches that the Filipino people are his true boss.

The President should have compared the decision to yesterday’s event at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. It was poor decision making on the part of Manny Pangilinan to let the event with the NBA players go on when they were not allowed to play a 5 on 5 games against the Smart Gilas team back in April. Despite that, the event pushed through and a bunch of NBA players backed out at the last minute. If the president’s speech happened sooner, then that situation would have been a better comparison to the Supreme Court’s ruling of the DAP.

PNoy Says, Supreme Court Says: It's Their Word Against the World

Wazzup Pilipinas!

We know we have laws, but still many are willfully breaking it. You know why? Because laws are man-made! Laws were meant to guide us but it should not limit us to accept as is, where is - if we know deep inside that it is wrong in the first place. They are the same laws that are being used for evil doers to get away with crimes committed against others. Loopholes exists. Whether we accept it or not, these laws were made by men with hidden agendas and malicious intents.

We've learned a great deal in the past months that most of our trusted men from the government are devious thieves who had their eyes on the "kaban ng bayan" since day one. A great percentage of our politicians are guilty of political dynasties, many of them do not follow the voting and campaign guidelines. Yet they still win. How come?

We basically do not follow our common sense. We follow our emotions. We follow our hearts. We get in trouble because of that. We are just too kindhearted to begin with. We easily forget. We easily forgive. However, eventhough we use our critical thinking in our decision making, there are just too many smart asses out there that are apparently smarter than us. Dim-witted and gullible. These are attributes we are commonly associated with that is why the "trapos" still exists.

Anti-Corruption to be Discussed on SONA

image from gmanewsnetwork.com

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The Office of the Ombudsman filed plunder charges against three senators for their roles in the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) and President Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Aquino III is expected to address that on his state of the nation address scheduled on July 28. It will be interesting to see what he has to say about it since it is very embarrassing how three senators are found to be pocketing funds. It is going to tarnish the reputation of the country since these people were voted in to their positions by the people. There have been rumblings that the senators will be reconsidered but those rumors were quickly put to rest by the Ombudsman.

The corruption cases made a lot of headlines nowadays due to the fact that the government officials were using funds that came from the citizens. The Filipinos paid their taxes rightfully so they deserve to know where the funds go to. Once the issue with Janet Lim Napoles came out, Filipinos started to rally since they realized their money is going to the benefit of the government officials. In fact, the children of these officials are seen having a good time like going on out of the country trips and buying luxury items such as gold watches and jewelry.

President Aquino will most likely encourage everyone to vote wisely on the next election which is in 2 years. He will point out that it is the Filipinos who are responsible for the high ranked government officials right now. One issue that is expected to be tackled in the next SONA is the preparation of the Filipinos for upcoming storms. It seems like every year lives and homes are shattered thanks to really bad weather. President Aquino is expected to announce new ways in finding out about the storm in advance so everyone can prepare.
