Namnam: Comfort Filipino Food at Its Best

Wazzup Pilipinas !

Namnam - Comfort Filipino. If you adore our very own Filipino dishes then its a must that you visit this new restaurant in Makati.

We should take pride in promoting our very own classic Filipino dishes of which Namnam is now offering in its new restaurant located at the ground floor of Greenbelt 2 in Makati. It's just right beside the Burger Bar, its sister restaurant which is also sort of new in the place. Namnam is also brought to you by the same people behind Cue Modern Barbecue located at High Street Central Bonifacio Global City in Tagig.

Namnam offers "Comfort" Filipino food and its counterpart twists meals will surely satisfy everyone's craving for Filipino food. Indulge to your foodie desires and enjoy their various meals!

The ambiance at Namnam gets its kicks from using somewhat like street lamps lighting each table located beside the walls of the restaurant, while at the center ceiling is a chandelier providing light to the middle tables. The tables and chairs are neat and modest with colors of light mahogany brown hues and green (simillar to the color of the aprons of the resto staff).

Their huge drinks would surely
quench your thirst.
They offer various concoctions which are often a mixture of fruits and sweet ingredients. Like the drink below which had "pomelo" and "sago" plus coconut milk, aside from other ingredients which makes it a sweet thirst quencher.

The food photos speaks for themselves. I guess if you are a Filipino, you will be able to identify each and every dish featured in the photos below.

Words will fail to describe the satisfaction we had with the meals that were served to us.

Everyone of us ordered their own differently flavored shakes as our drinks - and to start another photo op with the food and venue.

The traditional  "toyo" (soy sauce), suka (vinegar) calamansi (Citrofortunella microcarpa or Calamondin) and sili" (chili) to add taste to your Filipino food.

It's like "sinangag" (fried rice) with "piniritong itlog" (fried egg) on top.

This is "Sinigang na Bangus" where they used pakwan instead to add twist to the flavor.

Chicken wings were great! I guess we all love something sweet and a bit spicy in our food.

"Sinigang baboy sa pakwan" was something new for me. We usually just use "sampalok" (tamarind) or "bayabas" (guava), but this time they used "pakwan" (watermelon).

There's also "pancit" with a fried egg on top.

This salad contains "itlog na maalat" or salted eggs.

" Piniritong Tiyan ng Bangus" (Fried Bangus Belly) is an all-time favorite meal of Filipinos. This one had a lot of garlic which made the fish delight more tasty.

Everyone decided to order different drinks just for the sake of being able to take photos of the very colorful thirst quenchers.

We devoured every meal except for the "pancit" which I find to be a bit salty for my taste. Its the only left-over from the entire set of dishes served at  Namnam.

The real reason was because we also just came from another food event that day. That was why we were all somewhat full except for one.

Thank you to Miss Carissa, our host from Namnam for that day.

Thank you Namnam for giving us the opportunity to blog about your restaurant and promote Filipino food to both our fellowmen and foreign brothers and sisters. Mabuhay!
