Congratulations Miss Eco International Philippines Kelley Day for being a First Runner Up.

1st Runner Up gaming talaga tayo this year! Rabiya break the drought! Sana sa Miss Universe, 5th MU crown na ng Pilipinas.

PH sends quality queens to represent us in international pageants be it a major or a minor one like #MissEcoInternational2021. There’s just something with PH queens that know how to impress the local crowd of any country.

1st runner up finish is no joke! Kelley is a woman with so much substance. You see it with her answer and the way she delivers it. Kinda nervous though but she nailed it landing her at second spot!!

Kelley Day won Best National Costume during the preliminary competition held at Baron Resort in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

Panama and Thailand were adjudged 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.

Congrats Kelley! You made us proud! Love you Kelley Day! 1st runner up again. Sana may kasamang donation ng vaccine sa Pilipinas ang premyo. Char!

Another 1st Runner up finish for PH. So dapat lagi tayong magpadala ng mga kandidata na magaling sumayaw para sa opening palang bidang bida na ang Pilipinas.

I felt sad for Miss Eco Thailand and Indonesia for their interpreters. Their interpreters needs a interpreters too. Char!

Toxic na masyado sa FB live ng #MissEcoInternational2021. I'd rather point out the positive aspects of the pageant (holding it live amidst the pandemic). I know Miss Grand set the bar high but that doesn't mean we should be super negative.

No bashing, just asking. Don't they have stage director? Nakakatawa yung pausok. Mukhang may nag-iihaw pa yata sa gilid ng stage. Sa dami ng performancs at pa video, mamaya ng 7am ang announcement ng top 5. Bored na pati audience and judges. Sayang yung pageant na ito. Hope they will improve next year. 

The candidates prepared so much for the pageant. Sorry but poor production. They deserve better!

Go girl. Guess we got a very charming host - energy bunny. She loves to engage the crowd but the crowd seems to be tired. 

Daming award, graduation pala ito. Lahat panalo. Lol! Aawardan ata lahat para walang samaan ng loob.

Tawang tawa ako sa Best in Smile. I dunno if it's worth it na magpadala pa ng Reyna dito. Pinasosyal na Baranggayan to. Mare wag mo kalimutan mag thank you sa mayor tsaka sa Barangay chairman!!!

Miss Eco International 2021 used Power by Little Mix as their production number material. I mean, love the cause of this pageant, it’s just the production that makes it a low class pageant.. nevertheless, it’s the cause that counts.

Parang never again sa pageant na madaling araw ang show dito sa pinas hahahahhaa kung hindi sabog ang Pinoy audience yung prod naman alanganin. Ang alanganin ng oras sa middle east hahaha buti nalang sa USA ang MU this year. Kung ang mga candidates ay kinakain ng kaba, ako naman kinakain na ng kama huhuhuhu antok na ako kanina pa.

Anyways congrats uli sa kanilang lahat.

Students call for Academic Break amidst a heightening pandemic crisis

This school year has been an endless cycle of guilt, anxiety and exhaustion.

As the country hit the 15,000-mark on COVID-19 cases, we must uphold the well-being of the student body amidst a heightening pandemic crisis. 

Students feel anxious checking  their phones and the reason is because of online class. They hate receiving notifications about assignments, projects, and anything school related. But they can't turn notifications off because they're also anxious about missing the requirements.

COVID may not be transmitted virtually but the stress brought by online classes make all students vulnerable to such. 

Imagine losing a loved one because of COVID but you can't mourn because you have unfinished assignments for school, or having anxiety for being stuck in your home for months and not knowing what's going to happen. 

Grabe yung neoliberal na edukasyon. Biruin mo extended and ECQ, maraming mawawalan na naman ng trabaho, maraming kapos, etc.  Paano magpapatuloy ang isang estudyante o bata kung iisipin niya saan siya kukuha ng pang load para sa online classes? ACADEMIC BREAK NOW!

Pagod na kami, kailan niyo ba marerealize yon?

Tbh the past two weeks before the easter break was exhausting and I can't help but to see my friends' mental health going south so please sana magkaroon ng academic break.

With the academic break, can we also take this time to assess the online setup that we have? From professors having a hard time to get used to the functions of online platforms to grading system, madaming problema.

It's hard to pretend that classes should go on as usual with the pandemic raging on. What about our mental health?

The neoliberal system is indeed showing at this time, isn't it? despite the imposed lockdowns and high cases, we're still regulating - as if like slowly succumbing to the new normal that they call.

Please. We're so tired. We are not machines.

For God’s sake!! No one should have the pressure from academic requirements when literally their whole family is sick!!

Now is not the time to think about academics. Our family’s health and safety should be our priority. With the increasing number of cases, all we ask is compassion & kindness.

HINDI KAMI TAMAD. It just doesn't feel right to care about school works when people around us are dying, starving, barely surviving. i haven't learned much from my modules but I know for a fact that the statistics are actual people, not just numbers. 

Honestly, the set up is not effective as before. A break for students is a must! There are students who need a break for about a week/2 weeks or a month or worse a year/s if they experienced some stress. A lot of students I encountered are too much stressed. Too much stress can lead to some mental problems if you really care about health think also about the mental health of a student not just the physical health.

I don’t get how Institutions expect their stakeholders to be 100% mentally & physically ready for the exam week amidst all the chaos. This week felt more like an asynchronous completion week, rather, than the holy week.

The student body & professors have long been worn out due to their workload, personal problems, & national issues to the point that it has been driving people mad & tired.

And IMHO, everything that we’ve been doing has been pointless, and we really feel anxious for my future.

The least the university could do is extend the break and ease of academic requirements to let both the student body and professors recuperate after weeks of unending workloads.

Add ko lang na we wouldn’t be in this mess if the national government were urgent in handling the pandemic. Their negligence led to countless of deaths that could have been prevented. The situation right now is a testament that they don’t know what they’re doing. 

Please cancel classes. It’s arduous and exhausting. There is not so much to get from this setup. How much more loss to those who are paying tuition fees? The Philippine government must accept that they failed this nation. They failed the people. Let's continue to demand and hold those officials accountable for their incompetency.

They need to reassess this education system under remote learning. Look up for plans that can get us back to f2f setting.

Online class is not helpful at all. It just makes our mental health worst. Some of the students experiencing lack of motivation.

Dear gobyerno, ano gusto niyo para makapag academic break? Increase of suicidal rates, increase of patients with depression or increase of student drop outs. geh? Choose your character. 

It does not make sense that our academic institutions demand us to attend our classes and function academically when basically every facet of society is in crisis.

Where is your empathy?

Hindi kami tamad.

Tao lang kami.

Alam niyo dapat itong mga araw na itong Holy Week.. dapat spending time with God, Spending time with family.. pero ano nangyari? Spending time with Module! 

Alam mo yung masakit? Yung a-akyat ka ng grade level nang walang natutunan.

Sana naman huwag ninyong hintayin yung panahong lahat ng students ay depressed na.

Space Jam: A New Legacy trailer is out

I think Space Jam 2 is going to visually stunning and a fun ride. Will it live up to the mystique and nostalgia as the first? No, but it might mean the same thing to this next-Gen that the MJ Space Jam meant to us.

People act like every performance needs to be oscar worthy. This is going to be a fun film just like the first. Lebron knows what he's doing.

The movie looks pretty good. It doesn't make you look uncool. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. I think Lebron is going to kill it as well.

I’m sure it’ll be entertaining, but I’ll say this: it’s not Lebron that has me thinking this movie won’t exactly live up to expectations.

Maybe this makes me not cool but I liked the Space Jam: A New Legacy trailer and think LeBron is actually a pretty good and fun actor. I said it.

Space Jam is just Kingdom Hearts but if Sora went to NBA 2K21 instead of Disney Worlds.

Space Jam 2 Trailer: it was three minutes of pure cringe, but damn if Gamemaster Anthony wasn’t a Jules Verne tier prophet about the multiverse industrial complex. “Bring it in, guys” is now the plot to every single movie that makes a billion dollars.

Pretty meh trailer imo. The Suicide Squad and Mortal Kombat trailers didn't really hit for me either. Dunno whats going on at WB but somethings just off about their movies lately.

The soundtrack sounds nice, the visuals look stunning, and it looks like a really fun movie overall. People hate it just because it’s LeBron or their nostalgia for the first one doesn’t want them to enjoy it.

If that soundtrack is ANYTHING like the first movie’s, then this will be legendary.

I don't like it beacaue it has that Same Energy with Tom & Jerry or Scoob. Beacaue everytime when WB brings back a childhood franchise, they always screw them up and tuned them into something that doesn't represent the way they were.

Something I’ve noticed a lot in people hating the trailer is that’s it’s clear they either love Jordan or hate LeBron.

Having been able to watch both of them play, it’s possible to be amazed by both, they’re not mutually exclusive. You may even like or prefer one over the other, but why the extremes. Anyone that has Jordan or Lebron too far apart from each other doesn’t understand basketball.

The appeal of the first Space Jam was everyone loved Jordan and was a big deal him coming to play basketball while he was retired playing baseball. No one cares about Lebron, he’s not even likable.

No one cares about the most consistent player in the NBA, who has broken many records, still winning championships at 36 years old, is playing with one of the most successful teams, and can literally beat any young player at his age. Sure thing.

All that yet he’s still not lived because he’s a dick. Ask your hero why he’s so scared to do a dunk contest.

Lebron is funny AF. I thought his and Bill Hader’s scenes together in “Trainwreck” were some of the best parts. LeBron is actually a fantastic actor he stole the show in that very underrated movie.

And so far the Looney Tunes characters seem to be more authentic to their classic versions which I like. I think the movie looks fun, and people forget... kids are a huge target audience for this. lol!

How is this a kids movie when Game of Thrones and Pennywise is being referenced? Along with those band boys who like to rape people? That's kinda weird.

Pepe Le Pew being cut from Space Jam 2 but the rapists from A Clockwork Orange showing up is peak corporate wokeness.

The original Space Jam was a passion project that Chuck Jones and Mel Blanc poured their hearts into. It’s sad to see it commercialised with an unnecessary sequel.

Little known fact, but they personally wrote the scene where Newman said “Slip on your Hanes, lace up your Nikes, take your Wheaties and your Gatorade, and we'll grab a Big Mac on the way to the ballpark”.

It's a shame that they added blatant product placement when the original had beautiful plot-driven dialogues.

I had no interest in seeing this before today, but after the trailer, and reading the issues, I’m sold. Looks like a lot of fun. I honestly think it’ll be good. Won’t be as good as the original, but absolutely gonna be worth the watch.

Can't wait for Space Jam 3 where Faker is sent to an alternate universe and needs to recruit Bugs Bunny as his jungler to take on the Monstars who stole the talents of Nuguri, Canyon, Chovy, Jackeylove and Kaiser.
