Recognizing when brand collabs are fair or "lugi"

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Yung "lugi" term kasi could mean differently per blogger/vlogger. Iba-iba acceptable compensation for each one of us. Some are willing to get less because they see the bigger picture or long term benefits partnering with a brand. Some have fixed rates, while others base it on how big the brand is.

Kaya importante talaga yung rate card and making it a standard among the blogging or vlogging community, otherwise kung may tumatanggap ng lower the preferred standards, mahihila lahat pababa.

Dami ko ng pinalampas na partnerships dahil mababa ang offer, pero may mga tinatanggap rin ako na almost free na pero I see long term possible benefits for my online presence, at gusto ko rin yung brand and it's products or services. Mahirap i-balance yung "fair collab with mutual benefits" if collaborating with other "influencers," but easier if the task only concerns me since my "vision" could be a total opposite from others.

If I will reflect on my seven years as a blogger, I could say successful ako lalo na siguro kung hindi ako moody at dedicated on doing this full time. But others will probably say otherwise, especially my bashers.

The photo above shows how tricycle operators and drivers converted their vehicles into capable of carrying more than the usual number of passengers ....but they also made it inconvenient for comfortable seating. It may have answered the need of more transpo opportunities for commuters but to the expense of sacrificing safety and comfort.

Ganoon din sa blogging. Maraming gumagawa ng paraan to get more clients to collab with, but madalas ay nagiging "siksikan" thus with less quality ang output.

In other words, much respect goes to those brands and PR agencies that are willing and generous enough to compensate more to get quality bloggers. This will also encourage bloggers with lower stats to exert extra effort to level up.

Instead of letting your passenger ride uncomfortably, offer a premium service for the mutual benefit of operator/driver and passenger.

Nakarating nga tayo sa paroroonan pero pawisan at nangawit naman tayo ng todo-todo. Nakaraos nga ang brand sa grand launch niya pero maliit lang ang reach ng campaigns.

As a passenger, I am willing to pay more basta safe, secure and comfortable ako na darating sa destination ko.

As a brand, I am willing to pay more basta effective ang dating ng online presence ko.

As a blogger, I will be able to improve my craft since magkakaroon ako ng budget to buy better gadgets, level up my Internet connection para hindi lag sa livestream, study English and writing proficiency courses para hindi nosebleed speaking English o hindi puro grammatical errors ang write-up ko,  etc.

This will also encourage bloggers to make an effort to work on their stats rather than umasa sa friendship o referral ng kakilala. Mas masarap ang pakiramdam if the brand partners with us dahil more than acceptable ang stats natin and sila mismo lumapit sa atin.

From Blogging to Vlogging, Will it Work?

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Ross here. Lifestyle, travel, food, events blogger but aspiring vlogger too because of this pandemic limiting events coverage, resto reviews, travel opportunities, etc.

I'm new to vlogging but have a YouTube channel with mostly events coverage content and ever since the pandemic, livestreaming due to the quarantine.

Kulang pa sa confidence to talk in front of the camera kaya will appreciate getting inspiration, tips, ideas and collabs from anybody.

Totally iba kasi yung magsulat, mag photo o mag video with me mostly just behind the scenes.

Vlogging is harder as I had attempts already but just couldn't get a decent amount of views, thus it only means either noone is interested about my blabbering or I'm not that interesting or attractive enough to watch...hehehe.

Seriously, I need to learn how to make my vlogs more content-wise and appealing by maybe improving the topic, adding effects or enhancements, learning how to edit videos,...and especially how to promote it to the right audience.

Posing in front of my just completed wallpaper installed at our other home in Montalban, Rizal.

I did four YouTube videos about my wallpaper collab project with this brand from Sweden. Normally I will just write my review and post some photos and short videos, but this time I tried vlogging about it. Experimenting if I will be effective as a vlogger....from unboxing to installation doing my best to talk to the camera, and explaining via intro or outro, like it was my audience. I must admit my unboxing was kinda lengthy but don't really know how to shorten it without cutting off important parts. The installation part was faulty as I did a time lapse but the mobile app I used couldn't process the time lapse properly so I ended up having short parts of the time lapse but managed to shorten the length of the vlogs.

Hoping you could watch them and offer suggestions on how to improve my vlogging. Be honest but please be gentle in criticizing.

Is collab the key to more subscribers?

Wazzup Pilipinas!

What makes these vloggers successfully gaining the appeal, and thus the views, of their followers?

They collab. They work with each other, and support each other.

You need to belong to a group that will welcome you with open arms. A group that will sincerely appreciate your strengths, and work around your weaknesses without requiring you to change.

We need to be a part of a group that will respect our ideas and point of views, no matter how wild or off the charts they are, since real content creators go for the most creative aspects in making their masterpieces....so no to the conventional, yes to freeform thinking.

Wendell Ramos launched his YouTube channel with the help of Cong TV and Team Payaman

"Sabi nga nila, "You can't win alone. You can't be rich alone. The help of those around you is important for your own success.. You can't be selfish". If your content is all about "ME ME ME" people will get sick of it. People will just think "What the heck are we gaining from you?" . NADA. It should be something that will help THEM. Coz people by nature, are really selfish. So in this sense, if you are a content creator, think about THEM not you. Twist it. All about mind manipulation sometimes."

So guys, if open kayo for a collab, kahit via livestream lang, I'm always willing to be a part of it.

Since bawal pa mga gatherings dahil Community Quarantine pa rin, kahit via livestream muna ang collabs....or we send portions of our individual videos na may mag eedit as a whole.

Kahit after the bday bash, pwedeng ganito collab natin oh

https://youtu.be/hWUumCSOdis

Ok..so.huwag tayo puro drawing o papetiks..... Start na tayo ng collab. Please post ideas on how we can collab kahit via online:

A. Discuss a topic via Livestream conferencing

B. Submit a few seconds of videos each regarding a certain topic, then compile/edit as one video

C. Small teams meetup at a certain location (risky nga lang dahil sa pandemic).

D.

E.

F.

Open for suggestions....Nagawa ni Team Payaman kahit may pandemic as a tribute to Emman Nimedez, we can also do it especially if open areas ang venue at limited to small groups.
