Janet Napoles, Benhur Luy and Merlina Sunas : Do They Deserve Special Treatment at the Expense of Taxpayer's Money?

Wazzup Pilipinas!
"President Aquino indefinitely suspending the release of PDAF is a good start.

In due time, a new system is necessary where the people will benefit the most from it (and without giving any government official the opportunity to get a commission from it).

I also hope that the media will be cautious in stirring the emotions of people. At times, I felt like malice is being insinuated on how some of the media portrays Napoles manner of surrender and the actions taken by the government to guarantee her safety." - Janette Toral from http://www.bloggingfromhome.com/2013/09/janet-lim-napoles-benhur-luy-merlina.html

Everyone has been crying out for fair treatment and justice recently.

Almost immediately after the call for the Million People March went viral online where social media played a major role in bringing together thousands, if not millions, of people in Luneta, Malacanang surprisingly called for a press conference where the President announced he is in favor of scrapping the PDAF. The call for people to unite might have triggered the decision of our President Benigno Simeon Aquino III or more popularly known as PNoy or Noynoy to abolish or suspend the PDAF or best known to many as the pork barrel fund.

Jobert Sucaldito Hospitalized After an Accident with a Cucumber

Wazzup Pilipinas!

This has got to be the most hilarious news I've read in my Facebook timeline this morning : Jobert Sucaldito, Hospitalized After an Accident with a Vegetable.

Last time I've heard an almost similar case which warranted the need to go to a hospital was the removal of a bottle from the ass of another guy of which one of the hospital staff in the operating room even took a video while laughing out loud in the process.

I really do not know the nitty-gritty details and how the news was leaked. News have mentioned that the showbiz reporter is now recuperating after an operation at the Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City removing the cucumber from his private part. The cucumber must have not been good enough to withstand the pressure that it broke or it ws pushed too hard that it got in so deep inside...Hahaha!!!

Wally Bayola Does the Chito Miranda with EB Babe Yosh

Wazzup Pilipinas!

It looks like Wally Bayola, a comedian and co-host of GMA 7's noontime show Eat Bulaga is doing the Chito Miranda thing with EB Babes Yosh as leaked by a video showing the two doing "it" in front of a video camera of which both of them are fully aware.

In fact, Wally Bayola was the one setting it up so it will get a perfect shot while the two were in the act of intimate love-making.

What's their excuse this time? Hard drive stolen, video camera got snatched, an angry family member or relative leaked it online, etc...

I really do not know which video was shot first (for they never learn that private videos only get leaked if there's one out there) and if the act of taking videos while having intercourse is now the past time of celebrities to give them some sort of thrill or trophy.

Boston Cafe of Los Banos, Laguna: All-Day Breakfast for Lunch

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Boston Cafe is one of Los Banos' (eLBi) long-running restaurants. It is located very near the Centtro Mall along Lopez Avenue (Grove).

Looking at their menu, the coffee drinks and meals at this local cafe were fairly priced. We dined on their All Day Breakfast meals of ham and egg, while enjoying their air-conditioned restaurant with free wi-fi.

Their walls were artistically designed except for one which may have been painted over already with green. They also have a few tables and chairs outside for the smokers or those who just wish to hang out outside. It would be cool to stay outside except for the smoke coming from the vehicles passing.

This is where we had lunch before proceeding to a press conference for members of the press to discuss about the 2nd run of the Laguna Blogging Summit.

Kung Fu Divas Stars Marian Rivera and AiAi Delas Alas

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Two of the country’s “box-office divas” from rival TV networks—Kapamilya Comedy Queen AiAi delas Alas and Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera—will forces in this year’s funniest epic comedy-adventure film titled “Kung Fu Divas,” which will hit cinemas nationwide on October 2 (Wednesday).

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Star Cinema continues its two-decade tradition of sharing stories of pure laughter and entertainment to the Filipino audience by teaming up with co-producers Reality Entertainment and O & Co. Picture Factory to produce a world-class Onat Diaz masterpiece.

“Masayang-masaya kami ni Marian na part kami ng 20th anniversary celebration ng Star Cinema. Happy din ako dahil nakasama for the first time ang isa sa mga reyna ng GMA,” said AiAi. “Sa totoo lang, isa ito sa pinakamahirap na pelikulang ginawa ko–acting-wise and action-wise. Nag-training din kasi kami dito for martial arts kaya mahirap. Pero sa ganda ng movie, sulit ‘yung hirap. Fulfilled na fulfilled ako.”

Cafe Maquiling of Los Banos, Laguna : One of eLBi's Famed Restaurants

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Wow! Adobong Manok!

This is one of the dishes that we had for lunch on our visit to Los Banos, Laguna immediately right after attending a plant tour at Gardenia, and before going to a presscon for members of the press for the 2nd Laguna Blogging Summit.

The core team of the 2nd Laguna Blogging Summit composed of Grace Bondad Nicolas, Pepi De Leon, Yami Uytingco Calamba, Dianne Salonga, Ivan Saldajeno and Ross Del Rosario (that's me) sort of made some "pit stops" for lunch and merienda on our way to the scheduled afternoon presscon for some invited members of the media.

Lunch was served at Cafe Maquiling restaurant which was owned by former Board Member Neil Andrew Nocon.

The restaurant served also served us some Crispy Fish Fillet, and Ampalaya with Egg.

Gardenia Plant Tour in Laguna

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Core Team Members of the Laguna Blogging Summit composed of Grace Bondad Nicolas, Pepi De Leon, Dianne Salonga, Yami Uytingco and Ross Del Rosario attended the Gardenia Plant Tour held a few days ago at the Laguna plant.

Gardenia, the largest bread producer in the Philippines, is one of the many sponsors of the 2nd Laguna Blogging Summit happening on October 15 and 16 at the Cultural Center of Laguna. They were also a sponsor of last year's 1st Laguna Blogging Summit.

Gardenia's roots go back to Singapore where, in 1978, it began as a humble in-store bakery. Increasing demand led to the opening of Gardenia's first-commercial bakery at Pandan Loop in March 1983. Gardenia has since been the market leader in Singapore and has expanded its operation in Asia to such countries as Malaysia and Thailand with the latest in the Gardenia chain of bakeries here in the Philippines.

Smart Concept Launches “Affiliate Marketing Program”

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Unemployment in the Philippines has continued to rise with an alarming rate. The call center or BPO industry boom as they say didn't really solved the unemployment problem, it just made our people underemployed and serving a job below their degree of study. We have several professionals working for less than what they've studied for since there are only a few jobs appropriate to their level.

The basic need is still  with food, shelter, clothing, education - which can all be answered if we all have jobs to provide for the purchase of the basic needs.

With the idea of having more Filipinos earn a decent livelihood amid a strong yet still largely volatile local economy and rising unemployment numbers, SmartConcept, Inc., one of the country’s fast-rising direct advertising and marketing companies, launched a marketing program that hopefully will bring good news to many Filipinos who are unemployed or even those who want to supplement their income.

Called “Affiliate Marketing Program,” this performance-based marketing system allows its members, called “affiliates,” to be equitably rewarded for each retail or even online customer they can recruit.

The general idea is to promote a long-term business relationship between the four core players within the system such as SmartConcept itself, which is the marketing company, the “merchant” or the product or service provider, otherwise known as the “retailer,” plus the “affiliate” or independent distributor and finally the “customer” or the client or actual consumer of the products and services.
