Social Revolutionists conquered the hearts of Laguenos last November 14 & 15, 2013 at the 2nd Laguna Social Media and Blogging Summit (#2LaBS) held at the Cultural Center of Laguna. Influential speakers who were armed with their strong & revolutionary topics to share, empower & teach the participants about Online Marketing, Social Media Ethics, Passion, Responsibilities and on how to become a catalyst for change.

The Laguna Blogging Summit just became bigger and louder this year. The participating students were from Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU), STI, AMA, University of the Philippines and De La Salle Zobel Ayala Alabang.

The very punctual and energetic President of Laguna State Polytechnic University, Dr. Nestor De Vera as keynote speaker wowed the audience with his vision that Social Media and Online Marketing as the present and the future. And this coming Baby & Family Expo Philippines 2013 on December 06-08, 2013 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, McDonald’s will bring this delightful experience to the biggest family event of the year.

After the successful first round of #BibongBaby photo contest, which gathered 300 entries, Baby & Family Expo 2013 will be capturing kid’s happiness through the #BibongBabyKiddie Edition. Entries can be submitted through the online photo contest application found at the Baby Expo Philippines Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/babyexpoph/app_599788450050788). The photo entry must show the kid ages 3-6 years old, holding the iconic McDonald’sHappy Meal Red Box. Weekly winners will be determined through online voting, while the grand winner will be judged based on the criteria identified by McDonald’s and a percentage from the number of likes. The winners will receive a McCelebrations package from McDonald’s.

Solaire had a kick ass After Glow party at Eclipse last Halloween night. While everyone was dressed up in some creepy costume, we partied the night away at the country's newest entertainment complex.

It was a night I won't forget as South Border serenaded us with their 1990's hits.

Anderson Cooper Versus Korina Sanchez : Who Do You Believe?

First it was Arnold Clavio, then now its Korina Sanchez. WTF Philippine Media??? Could someone build a CNN Philippines network! Let the truth be known!

It's pathetic how a broadcaster would rather argue and bicker with an international news icon like Anderson Cooper rather than actually focus on helping her own country. How does one find time? Korina Sanchez should learn ethics from CNN and not just open her mouth to whatever her emotions dictate.

That's 11 million people affected...which is 10% of the country's population... From Guian, Western Samar to Coron, Palawan... the breadth of the country composed of 7,000+ islands.

Logistics is really poor here in the Philippines and Anderson noticed that by pointing out the lack of personnel on the field. Another example of 'Filipino time', always late... Sadly, this doesn't get address often since everybody seems to be "used" to it... everything is slow here.

Despite the difficulties and perils, the disaster response teams of Operation Blessing Philippines, the humanitarian arm of CBN Asia, have already entered and have set bases in the four provinces worst hit by super typhoon Yolanda.

The Operation Blessing team confirmed television footages and newspaper acounts on the massive devastation caused by Yolanda, describing the damage to life, property, infrastructure and livelihood as unprecented.

“The extent of super typhoon Yolanda’s damage is nothing that the Philippines has ever experienced,” said Dr. Kim Pascual, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Operation Blessing Philippines.

"Typhoon Yolanda the Category 5 mega-storm is estimated to have destroyed about 70 to 80 percent of structures in its path as it tore into the coastal provinces of Leyte and Samar in the Philippines. The Philippine government has already sent relief goods, rescuers, soldiers, and medical personnel to the affected areas.

As a Filipino I would like to Thank the whole world who has extended their help and sent relief goods, money and rescuers to help my fellow countrymen who have been devastated and lost their love ones by the World’s most powerful typhoon, Yolanda or Haiyan.
