Local artists come together to #ChangeTheEnding for the planet in a series of art workshops

Wazzup Pilipinas!

This November, art aficionados are in for a new learning opportunity as the World Wide Fund of Nature (WWF) Philippines launches Art Workshop—a six-part learning series centered on different art forms to be led by WWF-PH’s partner artists.

The workshop series is the second leg of WWF-PH’s Earth Exhibit initiative, which aims to spread awareness on environmental conservation. By bringing together Filipino artists and art aficionados, the initiative also aims to raise funds for the provision of 100 environmental education modules to Filipino students.

Kicking off the workshops on November 7 are Kenjay Reyes and Aubrey Rose Bea-Decoledt, who will share tips and tricks on drawing, which will be followed by a painting session from Anina Rubio and Nina Hidalgo on November 14. Sabine Buhain and Tristan Yuvienco will hold a tutorial on Digital Arts on November 21, and capping off the series is a multi-medium session on November 28 led by Micole Tam, Leeroy New, Nico Ng, and Mansy Abesamis.

Aubrey Rose Bea-Decoledt, founder of Art Smart Manila and a participating artist for the workshop series, shared her view on how art plays a role in environmental protection.

“Art has been equated with aesthetics, beauty, and order. Naturally, we are drawn to  God's creation as the standard of beauty, and this has inspired many to conserve nature or even improve it to make it more beautiful by adding man's creative touch, through landscaping, architecture, engineering, which all promote art. Through the visual art, particularly paintings, and artworks that promote and communicate nature conservation and wildlife, we are able to cast a vision in people's minds, whether young or old, which inspires them the act and take care of nature.”

Internationally-acclaimed designer Leeroy New, who will also share his expertise with the workshop attendees, stated his insights on the relevance of art in conserving the environment.

“Art can contribute in telling stories that lead to the changing of mindsets about humanity’s relationship to their environment. Art production itself can focus on practicing more sustainable strategies, and we can be more conscious about issues like waste production. Creative practice can and should evolve to actively propose solutions to environmental issues.”

On the other hand, clay artist Mansy Abesamis, shared how she hopes to #ChangeTheEnding for the planet through art.

“I’m going to be more proactive in using my art to make others realize how we are all interconnected—humans and other species; and I think pottery is a good avenue for this. When you see your hands molding earth, clay, into different shapes, you are reminded that for better or worse, the future is in your hands and that you direct its course. It’s very empowering. It wakes you up to the truth that our choices now will determine our future.”

Stay tuned and follow WWF-Philippines’ official social media pages for the complete event lineup and schedules. Together through art, let us help #ChangeTheEnding for the environment and our partner communities.

Celebrity stylist Liz "Homewrecker" Uy engaged

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Celebrity stylist Liz Uy is now engaged to Dra. Ging Zamora’s former husband. The title of this book is "When the concubine takes it all."

Liz announcing her engagement the same day the Dra. Ging announced hers....... just shows how filthy her soul is.

The headlines read "Rheumatologist Ging Zamora Engaged to Cardiologist Lauro “Sonny” Abrahan IV" and now it's Liz Uy, homewrecker, engaged to Raymond Racaza.

The righteous woke PH netizens congratulates Liz Uy on her engagement! Kabet wins!

I remembered her story years ago, her husband had an affair with Liz Uy as well as the father of Liz Uy's son. But chose not to sue her husband for the sake of their daughter. She chose to walk away.

She was there noong time na walang-wala pa ang guy. Then later on when the guy built  Xurpass and became successful, that's where Liz came into the home wrecking business.

Why can't I be happy for Liz? Really off talaga her relationship with that guy because her engagement is like "The World of Married." The damn mistress does not deserve any respect even if the original wife was equally at fault.

And to think Isabelle Daza was the Cupid? The bridge that wrecked a marriage?

These celebrities do not have an inch of decency. After all, they live a deceitful life.

Eww at these celebs congratulating Liz on her “well-timed” engagement. “True love” is never an excuse para manira ng relasyon ng iba. How selfish!

Liz had to be low-key because she knows this is frowned upon. She has to live with the fact that she is nothing but a mistress, a "kabit."

Liz Uy. The beacon of light for those dreaming to be the Mrs. Legal Wife. Lol.

Liz Uy was the kabit of Dra Ging’s then-husband. She got herself pregnant with a married man’s child. Now that Dra Ging has found her happiness, Liz Uy posted about a 💍 as well.

Petition for Liz Uy and Raymond Racaza to do the #HowItStartedChallenge.

Never forget Liz Uy also tried her luck with Ely Buendia and Atom Araullo before she became a third party.

And isn't the former president Noynoy Aquino going to comment on Liz Uy's latest instagram post — engagement photo? Hehehe

However, can't help but point out that if both Liz Uy and the guy are home-wreckers, why bedevil the woman alone? It's a f*cking farce!

DOTr Air Sector to simultaneously soft launch Traze App in 4 airports nationwide

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The Aviation and Airports Sector of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) will soft launch a contact tracing app that was co-developed by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) and Cosmotech Philippines, Inc., in four (4) airports nationwide on Wednesday, 28 October 2020.

TRAZE, a nationwide and unified QR Code-based app will automate the contact tracing of agencies under the DOTr’s Aviation and Airports sector, such as the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), Manila International Airports Authority (MIAA), Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB), Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC), and the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA).

The contact tracing app will be simultaneously pilot-tested through a soft launch at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Clark Internal Airport (CRK), Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIAA), and Davao International Airport (DIA). Other airports will follow soon. After a month or by 28 November, use of TRAZE will be made mandatory for all air passengers in all airports nationwide.

As directed by Transportation Secretary Arthur P. Tugade, the use of the Traze app, which was pioneered by the PPA in ports last month, will eventually be utilized across all modes of transportation to strengthen the government’s effort in containing the disease by immediately identifying individuals who had contact with COVID 19-positive patients.

All departing and arriving passengers at the 4 airports will be required to download the app on their mobile phones, and to register an account before proceeding to the airport. Passengers who do not have mobile phones or any other mobile gadget may go to the Malasakit Helpdesk at the airport for registrarion assistance to get a unique QR code, or they may ask a family member to register them with the app. The QR code can be used at any DOTr Office nationwide.

By using a QR code, Traze speeds-up the tedious manual contact tracing process to just a few minutes.

Passengers will scan the QR codes at designated areas of the airport. Once a COVID-19 positive patient is identified, an in-app notification will be sent to individuals who may have had contact with the patient so they may immediately observe self-isolation procedure, and other health and sanitation precautionary measures.

Traze is compliant with Republic Act (RA) 1017 or the Data Privacy Act (DPA). It allows anonymous registration and optional submission of personal information (i.e. mobile phone, email address). It is easy to use and does not require Bluetooth nor GPS to work. It will work even with slow data or WiFi.

With nationwide coverage, Traze has complete modules to trace individuals, establishments, logistics, and transportation systems such as trains, vessels, airplanes, jeepneys, taxis, PUVs, and even tricycles, among others.
