Robert Pattinson has tested positive for Covid-19

Wazzup Pilipinas!

This incident is literally not how you’re meant to wear a mask. Batman had to get a bat virus? Come on! If Batman can get this, what hope is there for the rest of us?!

Seriously, here's hoping the new Batman makes the fullest and swiftest recovery. I knew his chiselled jaw would come to good use. He looks the part. Terrible actor on Twilight. But absolutely gorgeous as an eye-candy.

However, if you've seen other works of his, then you'd know he is not really a "terrible actor." People tend to draw a conclusion at Twilight as if it is the only film he has starred in. I suggest watching Good Time, The Lighthouse, and Tenet in order to see how good of an actor he is.

But going back to the news, Robert Pattison has tested positive for Covid-19, causing filming of The Batman to be halted just days after the superhero drama resumed work.

Considering it's only symptomatic in a tiny number of cases and kills even less than that, we can pretty much conclude that the amount of people will life lasting damage is verging on minuscule.

So, Robert Pattinson and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who are both playing superheroes,  have contracted the Corona virus.

Don't worry about it. They both have access to the best medical care that the average citizen doesn't.

Actually, production on Black Adam already finished a long time ago. They just never released it to theaters for some reason.

Well, since they are celebrities who will be much concerned about their health, their projects may be halted for quite a while. Even if they are healthy, the virus could leave life lasting and reoccurring health concerns such as fatigue and respiratory problems.

This might be jumping to conclusions, but they have to be prepared about dropping these actors for other actors or wait it out..or the next best thing is computer-assisted realistic animation.

I mean if you get the virus it’s required for you to self isolate for at least two weeks so it’s really not their choice.

Truly hoping no one else contracted corona on set. Robert will get the best care, and I hope he has a speedy recovery. I hope the same is afforded to lesser but still important people who worked on the film.

You know what this proves? That the filming for movies should not be started yet because the situation of Covid is not controlled yet. Filming major projects like this with huge cast and crew shouldn’t take place anytime soon. It’s absolutely not worth the risk!

Movies should be a later thing, People / Actors / Staff health should be the number 1 priority.

Police to Monitor Social Media for Quarantine Protocols Violations

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"Police will now monitor social media platforms to search for and apprehend hardheaded individuals violating coronavirus quarantine protocols."

Pa epal. Para kunwari may nangyayari.

Another way for them to silence those who criticize this admin's incompetence and "inutile" system.

Before they do that to other people make sure they don't have any issues to back fire on them.

Remember the mañanita? at least put in their minds that hindi puro PAPOGI sa batas ginagawa nila.

The problem is the PNP couldn't even do their job properly when it comes to following our current health and safety protocols--and now they're gonna spend time and resources on this?

You will apprehend violators? Puro kayo porma! Gamitin ninyo naman common sense ninyo. This is a war on the virus, not a war on the people.

What stupidity! Only in this government.

Is this mind-conditioning for the eventual "regulation" of freedom of speech and expression? Is this a creeping transition into a "police state" with the intention of perpetuating those in power?

Ok lang sana if meron din kaming karapatang patawan sila ng parusa if mag exceed sila sa rights natin as individuals using social media.

Pang-aabuso na ng right to freedom of speech, privacy and confidentiality gagawin nila.

With the Jolo, Sulu incident, nadagdagan pa.

The reasonings behind Manila Bay's synthetic sands are absurd

Wazzup Pilipinas!

“DENR will be causing another round of public health emergencies if they insist on this material for the project.”

The DENR defended its “white sand” makeover of Manila Bay’s shore, saying it will discourage people from throwing garbage in the area.

Huh? Does that justify millions worth of toxic synthetic sand? The Mining and Geosciences Bureau in the Central Visayas confirmed that the mineral used to make the controversial synthetic sand was from Alcoy town, south of Cebu province.

According to a geologist, the engineering technology used in the overlaying of white sand on the shores of Manila Bay “is very costly” and natural alternatives should have been used instead.

The DENR doesn’t have any concrete plan to restore the bay that it resorts to focus on external beautification which is actually a sham and artificial, instead of a genuine rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, the city government of Manila expressed its full support to the national government and the DENR in its implementation of the Manila Bay beach nourishment project that includes the overlaying of “white sand" in the area.

If Manila Mayor Isko Moreno is conniving with DENR regarding the dumping of white sands in Manila Bay, then he is totally cancelledt.

Trapo lang talaga amoy ko sa kanya because he is allied with Duterte.

I think everything he has done is just a show, and part of a script to make him look good in the eyes of the people. (Alamin kung sino-sno mga PR niya, then you'll understand.)

DENR is not protecting the environment with this gimmick. They are only concerned with aesthetics.

Malacañang is also not buying the argument that the funds for the rehabilitation of the Manila Bay could be used for the government’s COVID-19 response instead, saying the white beach in the famous destination can improve the people’s mental health amid the pandemic.

Asan na ang "stay at home" and go out only for basic necessities? Kumusta Naman mental health mo, Mars?!

Remember the walls put up during Marcos' time whose only purpose was to hide the shanties of squatters (now called informal settlers) when they had visitors?

This is the same thing, and it's not even the appropriate time to boost tourism since travel is not yet allowed...and there are more urgent matters to prioritize.

Someone is trying to artificially make Manila Bay look good even if it means just covering up the black sand and "burak" underneath...and not improving the environment the natural way.

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) should be ashamed of themselves.

Let's just promote Manila Bay's natural beauty.

"Instead of fresh sea air, promenaders will get a whiff of toxic dust from (overpriced) dolomite sand when the P389-million Manila Bay rehabilitation project is completed, environmentalists claimed."

Is this the tourism boost that we want? To be known as the bay with artificial or synthetic sands?
