“ETUF is a Cebuano gay lingo for white, which symbolizes one's pure heart to help the HIV advocacy like our ambassadors, supporters, and of course the volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts to help the Cebu community. By continuously doing so and inspiring others, the runway for the HIV and AIDS will be cut short sooner,” says Raychie Lomongo, Head of Events for LoveYourself Cebu.

This fundraising event is co-sponsored by The Events Space.

According to LoveYourself Cebu head Jan Shaltiel Vincent Estrada, "ETUF is not your typical fashion show for it will be a celebration of the ingenuity of Cebu artists and talents, while advocating for greater causes for the Cebuano community."

Winning Aklan Congressman Nonong Haresco has promised all the media (including bloggers) that supported him during the campaign season that he will bring them to Boracay if he won, and now is the time to fulfill the promise!

As soon as he is able and available, we will soon be seeing each other in Boracay, not just for leisure but also to witness the place and its developments after the six-months rehabilitation period.

During the June 18 media appreciation day, where everyone was treated to a Buffet lunch at Dad's West Avenue in Quezon City, the Congressman has announced also his future plans mainly for Boracay, and as promised, is very eager to personally welcome the media as he opens Boracay for the special thanksgiving party.

Excited so much. Though I've been to Boracay for so many times already, I haven't see it yet after the closure.

So see you soon in Boracay!

In preparation for the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Member State Audit Scheme (IMSAS) in 2021, the first IMSAS Inter-agency Council meeting has convened at the MARINA Central Office to consider the preparatory activities undertaken by the agencies performing maritime administration functions.

Through Department Order No. 2018-006, the IMSAS Inter-agency Council which is composed of representatives from the DOTr, MARINA, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Office for Transportation Security (OTS), Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA) is created to ensure that the Philippines meets its obligations and responsibilities as an IMO Member State.

In the first IMSAS Inter-agency Council meeting, Department of Transportation (DOTr) OIC - Undersecretary for Maritime Fernando Juan C. Perez spearheaded the discussions on the draft Philippine IMO Strategy and Cross Table of Responsibilities.

The draft Philippine IMO Strategy contained the measures that the Philippines will adopt to fully and effectively implement and enforce the mandatory IMO Instruments which it has ratified including the Safety of Life at Seas (SOLAS), International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL), Convention on International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS), International Convention on Load Lines, and International Convention on the Tonnage Measurement of Ships and the International Convention for the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for seafarers.
