We are excited to announce the Official Launch of the Fit Filipino 10 Million Lbs National Weight Loss Challenge 2018!

The event will be on May 22, 2018 from 9-11am at  the Isla Ballroom of EDSA Shangri-la Hotel in Mandaluyong City.

Originally launched last year in partnership with the Philippine Heart Association’s 52100 Advocacy, the FitFil Challenge unexpectedly became the biggest collaboration of various leaders from the Medical, Nutritional, Educational, Fitness, LGU’s and Corporate sectors to fight Lifestyle Diseases.

At the end of the 2017 campaign, the entire country officially lost a combined total of 1.02M lbs – a First in the World! This unique campaign helped change a lot of lives and collected hundreds  of success stories.

The launch on May 22 will be the biggest gathering of different organizations (Medical, Fitness, Health, Nutritional, LGU’s, Schools and Universities and Private Organizations – all united for Health and Fitness.

The Philippine Medical Association and other Medical Organizations, University Deans, DEPED, the National Youth Commission, Fitness Clubs, LGU’s, Multinational Companies and many more will be there.

A big part of the launch will be the CORPORATE WELLNESS PROGRAM Presentation. They will be presenting a very unique program to make Corporate Fitness and Wellness more fun, engaging, successful --- and easier for the HR or Wellness Team.

The event will also be launching the FITFIL APP which will allow tracking of the Health and Fitness Performances of Participants all over the country in real time.

They will also be able to CONNECT all participants / employees --  NATIONWIDE-- to the Program Leader /  HR Wellness Head or Team in real time. With just one look at your screen, you will be able to see the most recent Fitness and Wellness Performance of each participant / employee right away.

Also to be shared will be the "CORPORATE 30 DAY CHALLENGES"  - a unique Corporate Fitness Program designed to make Working Out in the Office a lot more Fun and with a higher chance of Success.

There will also be a Symbolic Group Picture that will be taken to represent all the Organizations that have joined this National Wellness Campaign.

Atty. Mark Tolentino Terminated as Assistant Secretary for Railways

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) welcomes and strongly supports the decision of President Rodrigo Duterte to terminate the services of Atty. Mark Tolentino as Assistant Secretary for Railways due to questionable dealings and unfairly involving the first family with matters regarding the Mindanao Railway Project.

The DOTr, under the leadership of Secretary Arthur Tugade, does not and will not tolerate such acts by its officials or employees. 

Namedropping and seeking the assistance of the President, his family, or any other influential individual, either for government projects or for personal gain, will never be tolerated. 

May this be a warning to all government officials and employees.

Rest assured that the Mindanao Railway, a priority project under the Build Build Build Infrastructure program of the Duterte administration, is ON TRACK and ON SCHEDULE. Phase 1 (Tagum-Davao-Digos) will be completed in 2021, without delays and without corruption.
