Synergy88 Digital Animation Studio Tour and Intimate Q&A with Animators Dan Cabuco and Hong Ly

Here's our video tour of the Synergy88 Animation Studio located in Quezon City.

We got to tour all floors of the animation studio with the exception of some areas where video and photo coverage is not allowed. The management toured us around and explained the different work areas and the work they are mostly involved in especially with their collaboration with Microsoft - something not every animation studio are able to get.

We are proud to be roaming around Synergy88 Digital where our fellow Filipinos are making a difference eventhough they are mostly unseen and unheard of since they work in the background of these amazing brands and other animation projects.

The big bonus is the presence of professional animators Daniel Cabuco (Sony Interactive) and Hong Ly (Riot Games) whom we had an intimate interview at a nearby restaurant after having a wonderful dinner. I also took the opportunity to get short video messages from the founders of Synergy88 Digital led by Jackeline Chua.

It is overwhelming to learn about the future projects of the Synergy88 Digital especially when Miss Jackeline announced their new projects including an animation purely Filipino made and soon to be launched here in the Philippines.

New World Manila Bay Hotel together with sister property, New World Makati Hotel, prepares for its annual fun run to raise funds to enrich their advocacies.

This year, New World Hotels and Resorts aims to build a better future by supporting organizations that aid in providing proper education and development of the children.

The upcoming Run and Raise 2017 will be for the benefit of the scholars of Bantay Edukasyon – a project of Bantay Bata 163 that grants scholarship to abused children. Providing education is the long-term solution to help alleviate poverty, which was found to be one of the main causes of child abuse. Bantay Bata 163 is one of the programs of the ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc. that ensures the welfare and protection of the Filipino children.

“Run and Raise 2017” will be on 5th of February 2017 at CCP Roxas, Boulevard. It will feature distances of 3km, 5km, 10km, and a 16km. Registration starts 27th of October 2016 online and at selected sites. Rate of race kit starts at Php 500.

The largest sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship (ONE), held an MMA seminar at Evolve Far East Square early Wednesday, 7 December. Singaporean pop sensation Nathan Hartono stepped onto the mats to stand across ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela “Unstoppable” Lee.

The 20-year-old Lee is the youngest world champion in MMA history. She is undefeated at six wins and no losses, capturing the title last May. Lee took the time to perform a few essential mixed martial arts (MMA) drills with Hartono, including educating the singer on proper striking techniques and the basic self-defense.

Last November, Hartono made an appearance at ONE: DEFENDING HONOR, gracing the stage with a live performance as well as being tasked to sing the Singaporean national anthem just moments before the main event bout of the evening.

Angela Lee, ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion, stated: “Nathan is a cool dude, he really tried his best in all of the drills we had him do. It was definitely interesting to see someone who has no background in MMA perform some of the basics. I had a lot of fun and I hope Nathan did too. It was an honor for me to meet such a big star in Asia. Nathan, if you ever want to come back to Evolve to train, the door is open for you!”

25-year-old Nathan Hartono is an actor and singer who was born and raised in Singapore. He made his singing debut after winning the Teenage Icon competition back in 2005. A year later, he released his debut album, LET ME SING! Life, Love and All That Jazz. This year he became the first runner-up in the first season of Sing! China. Just recently, Hartono also tried his hand at acting, starring in his first ever television series, Halfworlds.
