One Fighting Championship (ONE FC) announced today that all the fighters have made weight and are ready for One FC: Moment of Truth which takes place tomorrow evening at the state-of-the-art MOA Arena in Manila, The Philippines.

The card will be headlined by a One FC Featherweight World Championship bout between Honorio Banario and Koji Oishi.

Behind a rusted gate along Roosevelt Avenue, jazz was cookin’ on a Sunday afternoon. A melting pot of musicians gathered in composer Bob Aves’ musical studio to rehearse for the Out of the Tradition Concert happening this December 11, at the PETA Theater Center.

“My music needs a new breed of jazz musicians”, say Bob Aves. His music, which he calls Philippine World Jazz, is a fusion of modern jazz and traditional gong culture.

Once the Fender-slingin’ lead for the fusion band “Destiny” in the 70’s, Aves has maintained a constant presence in the Philippine music scene as a composer, musical director and arranger. His credentials could read like history of four decades of the contemporary music scene having worked with musicians across diverse genres. Pop groups, rock bands, folk singers, movie soundtracks – name it, he’s done it.

There's this new TV series that has caught my attention because it seems to be a spin-off of the Avengers' stories. Yes! the Avengers - Captain America, Ironman, Thor, Hulk and the rest of the costumed superheroes of Marvel. But this focuses on the S.H.I.E.L.D. (an acronym for (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division) people - those bunch of men with suits and dark shades led by Nick Fury.

But Nick Fury only does cameos here. The real star is Phil Coulson, with actor Clark Gregg reprising the role. "Agent Phil Coulson puts together a small team of normal, non-superhuman S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to handle strange new cases with some of them involving the mysterious Project Centipede and their experiments with Extremis. Each case will test the team in cooperation and ingenuity as they try to work together in trying to save the world from threatening, supernatural events on Earth." - Wikipedia.

My problem is that I only have time to watch during night time - actually late at night when everyone is already sleeping. So I always had to lower the volume when I watch the video. This becomes a disappointment as I couldn't really "feel" the action if I can't hear the dialogues loud and clear.

Yahoo Philippines unveiled the Yahoo Terchnostorm 2013 last November 29 at the Market, Market Central Plaza with a media launch at around 5 pm highlighting talks from two guest speakers (DOST Assistant Secretary Raymund Liboro and MyPhone Marketing Head John Chica) plus Yahoo executives, Mike Constantino, Yahoo Country Sales Director, and Kate delos Reyes, Yahoo Country Manager and Country Editor, who shared insights about Technostorm 2013.

DOST Assistant Secretary Raymund Liboro initially asked the audience "May ideya ka bang sumasagitsit?" says the Science and Technology department supports Filipino inventors and innovators.

It’s literally a moment of truth for Filipino Team Lakay fighters Honorio Banario, Kevin Belingon and Eduard Folayang as they face tough foreign opponents tomorrow (Friday) in ONE Fighting Championship: Moment of Truth at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena in Pasay City.

Banario is out to prove that his defeat in the hands of Koji Oishi in the ONE FC event in May this year was a fluke as he attempts to regain the champion belt from the Japanese in the main event.

So do Belingon and Folayang, who also tasted defeats in the hands of their respective opponents then. This time, Belingon will battle dangerous undefeated Spaniard David Aranda Santacana while Folayang will clash with Dutch-Indonesian shooto veteran Vincent Latoel.

Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago accuses his co-Senator Juan Ponce Enrile of being the grandfather of all plunders. Enrile answers back. Miriam again takes the pedestal. Enrile submits himself to a media interview - and so the cycle goes on. Non-stop, and perhaps will just fade away when a new more controversial issue arises.

There was an accusation of diverting the issues, or steering it away from the real and original mess. However, it somehow benefits us because we get to know more about what really goes on in and out of the Senate. We are now aware that there are more stories to tell, and the revelation sjust keep on getting more interesting.
