Gabay Guro Grand Gathering on October 26

Teachers are all set to attend the biggest grand gathering of educators! It will be the biggest tribute event for teachers, happening on October 26 at the Mall of Asia Arena!

This is especially dedicated to teachers who have changed the lives of their students. It's payback time as they give tribute to teachers who have taught not only lessons in school, but lessons in life as well.

PLDT-Smart Foundation’s Gabay Guro program is holding the biggest event that pays tribute to teachers. This is their way of giving back to the teachers for all their hard work and dedication in molding our youth.
The Grand Gathering brings the teachers together for an event featuring some of the biggest celebrities like Edu Manzano, Derek Ramsay, Martin Nievera, Pops Fernandez, Judy Ann Santos, Anne Curtis, Marian Rivera, Ryzza Mae, Rocco Nacino, plus a special tribute by Regine Velasquez.

Gabay Guro is a joint program of the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) and the PLDT Managers Club Inc. (MCI) which aims to support and honor teachers through scholarship grants, teacher's training, livelihood, teachers' tribute, housing & other programs.

YouTube announced nominations for the first-ever YouTube Music Awards, a global event culminating in a live show from New York City on Sunday, November 3. Six categories, including Video, Artist, and YouTube Phenomenon of the Year, are now open for voting to fans around the world.

The lineup of top performers at the YouTube Music Awards continues to grow. Avicii, M.I.A., Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler the Creator, and Walk Off the Earth join previously announced acts Eminem, Lady Gaga, and Arcade Fire for the live show, with YouTube sensations Lindsey Stirling and CDZA also on tap to perform. Actor and musician Jason Schwartzman is joined by comedian and musician Reggie Watts to host this live event presented in partnership with Kia Motors Corporation. Music video visionary Spike Jonze is creative director, with executive producers VICE Media and Sunset Lane Entertainment.

Nominations for the YouTube Music Awards are based on YouTube data over the last 12 months from September 2012, with nominees representing the artists and videos with the highest levels of YouTube fan engagement, including views, likes, shares, comments, and subscriptions. 1. Post Card Perfect Philippines – Design and create your own 5R (5”x7”) postcard on the theme “Post Card Perfect Phillipines”. This is open in terms of post processing as long as you use your own photos depicting Philippine local scenes. It is okay to add text to describe place and photo. One entry per registered photographer. Entries deadline at 11am on Oct 26. You can make this now and submit your entries as you come to Fort Santiago on Oct 26. 1st Place winner will receive one free PWAsia 2014 registration, P5000 worth of prize and a medal. Second and 3rd Placers will receive gift items plus medals.

2. On-The-Spot (OTS) – for whole day activities. Shoot photos of activities for the whole day including fun games, model shoots, and other activities. Maximum of three (3) 5”x7” entries per photographer. Winners will receive gift items from sponsors.
