Mark Zuckerberg : Is Connectivity a Human Right?

Wazzup Pilipinas!
"For nine years, we've been on a mission to connect the world. We now connect more than 1 billion people, but to connect the next 5 billion we must solve a much bigger problem: the vast majority of people don't have access to the internet.

I'm focused on this because I think it's one of the greatest challenges of our generation. I've attached a rough plan I've written outlining the work Facebook is doing to solve this and how our industry can work together to connect the next 5 billion people." - Mark Zuckerberg

For almost ten years, Facebook has been on a mission to make the world more open and connected. Today we connect more than 1.15 billion people each month, but as we started thinking about connecting the next 5 billion, we realized something important: the vast majority of people in the world don’t have access to the internet.

Today, only 2.7 billion people are online — a little more than one third of the world. That is growing by less than 9% a year, but that’s slow considering how early we are in the internet’s development. Even though projections show most people will get smartphones in the next decade, most people still won’t have data access because the cost of data remains much more expensive than the price of a smartphone.

Below, I’ll share a rough proposal for how we can connect the next 5 billion people, and a rough plan to work together as an industry to get there. We’ll discuss how we can make internet access more affordable by making it more efficient to deliver data, how we can use less data by improving the efficiency of the apps we build and how we can help businesses drive internet access by developing a new model to get people online.

Telecom Company Powers Deped DRRMO For Typhoon Labuyo Operations

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Leading telecommunications company Globe Telecom powers the Department of Education’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) with communication tools for its Typhoon Labuyo operations.

Being a partner of DepEd DRRMO, Globe supplies the government agency with mobile and internet support for monitoring purposes. This time, the company provides prepaid cards which DepEd DRRMO can use with the cellular phones donated by Globe earlier.

“Globe is always here to assist DepEd especially during times when we are challenged by disasters. What better way to do it than provide means for DepEd DRRMO to check the status of affected schools via call, text, or even the internet,” said Fernando Esguerra, OIC of Globe Corporate Social Responsibility.

There are many beautiful places in Japan. Some examples are Mount Fuji, Himeji Castle, Kamakura, Matsumoto Castle, Tokyo tower and many more. Among all of these, i would like to go to Hiroshima Peace Memorial park the best

Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park ( Heiwa Kinen Kōen) is one of the most prominent features of the city. Even visitors not looking for the Peace Park will likely stumble upon the large park of over 120,000 square meters. Its trees, lawns, and walking paths are in stark contrast to the surrounding downtown area.

Before the bomb, the area of what is now the Peace Park was the political and commercial heart of the city. For this reason, it was chosen as the pilot's target. Four years to the day after the bomb was dropped, it was decided that the area would not be redeveloped but instead devoted to peace memorial facilities.

The location of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park was once the city’s busiest downtown commercial and residential district. Today there are a number of memorials and monuments, museums, and lecture halls, which draw over a million visitors annually. The annual 6 August Peace Memorial Ceremony which is sponsored by the city of Hiroshima, is also held in the park. The purpose of the Peace Memorial Park is to not only memorialize the victims, but also to establish the memory of nuclear horrors and advocate world peace.

Eat like a Sumo at "Sumo Sam"

Wazzup Pilipinas!
"Sumo Sam is a Japanese-American restaurant that boasts an extensive menu - from basic sashimi and sushi platters to sukiyaki, udons, and bacon-wrapped tempura. There are even Japanese-style burgers, crunchy tuna roll, and a wide variety of tofu dishes. At Sumo Sam, there’s something delicious and tasty for everyone in the family to enjoy." - Enjoy Philippines

I got the opportunity to eat for the first time at Sumo Sam. So I'm excited to show you how great it was to eat there. Well, let's get started.

There is a restaurant called Sumo Sam that has branches in many locations - more than 25 branches and still growing) so don't get confused because they are all completely different branches but offer the same quality dishes. Sumo Sam’s phenomenal growth continues to grow even higher as it opens up more branches across the Philippines. The the legend lives on as Sumo Sam raises the bar higher for itself than it has so far achieved. The photo up above in their menu is the logo of the Sumo Sam I've been telling you.

The food here in Sumo Sam is great and I have to tell you that one of the owners of this restaurant is a celebrity. See for your own eyes - one of the owners is no other than Chef Marvin Agustin.

Karate Kid : Japanese Restaurant in SM Megamall

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Last August 18, 2013, my brother and I had a trip to SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City after attending mass. We went to a Japanese restaurant named the Karate Kid to eat our lunch.

On our way to SM Megamall it was raining really hard. Oh! How wished it was sunny that day but it wasn't, sucks for me, getting wet by the rain, it was really cold.

After arriving at the mall there weren't that many people inside, maybe it was still early. We walked around a few times before going to the Japanese restaurant. It was a really long walk from where we were to the Karate Kid.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted in Japanese, I wanted to greet them back but I felt embarrassed. Then we looked for a place to dine in and there were many people but not enough to occupy all of the tables.

This New A-Style Motherboard is one that gives good quality features that is beyond the realities of how the original motherboard  has been built and produced.
