So you go out on a payday Friday night. You check your payslip and you see your withholding tax - there goes part of your hard-earned money. You pay for parking with 12% EVAT. You buy food and drinks with friends and you pay your bill - with 12% EVAT. The next morning you read the papers, you see how the taxes you paid last night was misused by people you thought you could trust. Dammit.

On October 25, a Friday night at 7 pm, you probably will go out again. Pay for parking, pay for gas, and pay for your weekly dose of Friday night food and drinks - with all those you pay 12% EVAT. BUT YOU HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THE DECEIT AND THIEVERY. You want to tell your government that what you will be paying on the night of October 25 should be properly used and should not go to the pockets of those suckers. YOU WILL DO THIS AT THE #PORKTOBERFEST!

Million K Run against Pork and for Good Governance Goes to UPLB

We would like to invite everyone for "Million K Run against Pork and for Good Governance goes to UPLB" this Friday Oct 11, 2013.

Students, teachers, non academic personel of UPLB as well as runners from Los Banos, Manila and farmers from Calauan, Laguna will gather in front of Student Union Building at 6am and will begin running at 6:30 am around the Oval. Pledge forms will be distributed before the run.

Participants wil be able to express their indignation in a healthy way by running, walking or biking a number of kilometers. Runners in Naga Lucena and Legazpi have thus far pledged a total of nearly half a million or 500 thousand kilometers.

Aquino III spent several hours in “closed- door conversations” with Janet Lim Napoles, the suspected mastermind in the alleged P10-billion pork barrel scam involving selected opposition lawmakers, before showcasing to the media her formal “surrender” to “the only person she trusted,” on the evening of August 28, 2013, authoritative sources have revealed.

This incredible detail was completely left out of Malacanang’s official statement, which had sought to present Aquino’s meeting with Napoles as no more than a 10-minute affair that ended an otherwise fruitless manhunt of a celebrated fugitive from justice, and was witnessed by several Cabinet members and duly recorded for posterity by the Malacanang press office.

Everyone has been crying out for fair treatment and justice recently.

Almost immediately after the call for the Million People March went viral online where social media played a major role in bringing together thousands, if not millions, of people in Luneta, Malacanang surprisingly called for a press conference where the President announced he is in favor of scrapping the PDAF. The call for people to unite might have triggered the decision of our President Benigno Simeon Aquino III or more popularly known as PNoy or Noynoy to abolish or suspend the PDAF or best known to many as the pork barrel fund.
