The Hub at Rizal Park Opens Bar and Cafe

It's a five-in-one place - a lounge, cafe, bar, restaurant and ticketing office!

You can spend an afternoon here sipping a locally roasted coffee brewed to perfection, or try a Regional Filipino cuisine twisted to another deliciously creative delight, or trying out novel cocktails while watching people come and go at the park.

The Hub at Kilometer Zero located at the heart of Rizal Park, or what we all know as Luneta, somewhere at the Bulwagan ng Kagitingan area, is a project of 2GO Travel, the domestic shipping passenger business unit of the 2GO Group, Inc., the country's biggest total supply chains solution company according to Stephen R. Tagud, Vice President of 2Go Travel.

During a press conference, Stephen, along with Daniel Slakmon, Quality and Development Unit Head, and  JP Landingin, Executive Chef, answered the inquiries of the members of the media about The Hub and also about 2GO Travel and its many destinations.

We've learned that The Hub has quite a number of exciting food and drinks on its menu. From the Freshly-brewed Batangas coffee, to the deep and complex-flavored espresso blends, its cafe is being run by expert baristas trained by Daniel who previously worked in famous international cruise ships. Prior to Slakmon's work in Pricess Cruises, he's also employed in private members bars, clubs, and restaurants.

Slakmon also prepared the coffee selections, the cocktails, and the bar menu. The bar menu has hints of Philippine fresh fruits mixed with alcoholic and non-alcoholic bases to become indulging cocktails.

Meanwhile, American Hospitality Academy and College of St. Beilde-trained Chef JP made twists of our favorite Pinoy recipes. An Example was the famous Bacolod Chicken Inasal which he made into whole-day sandwich meals, and the very popular mangosteen that became a mousse - a rare sweet sensation you can only find at The Hub.

Included in The Hub's restaurant menu list are regional dishes turned into genius palate ticklers.
