Wazzup Pilipinas!

Your friendly neighborhood pambansang blogger, Ross Del Rosario,  got invited to be among the special guests for Global News Network's Philippines Uncut hosted by Buddy Cunanan. He was with other bloggers that were also members of the Wazzup Pilipinas community.

The show tackled on "All About Blogging" and was shown at 9 p.m. last Sunday, August 17, and was replayed at 10 a.m. last Monday, August 18 on the Global News Network.

GNN is available in Metro Manila on Chnl 1 (GSAT), Chnl 8 (Destiny), Chnl 213 (Sky). We're also nationwide via 350+ provincial cable operators, free-to-air UHF in capital cities, ASIA-wide (8 countries) on the GSAT Satellite Network, and Internet streaming.

The guests are leading bloggers Ross Del Rosario of WazzupPilipinas.com representing lifestyle, Kaye Rey of babetravelling.com representing travel, and Kathy Kenny Ngo of lifeiskulayful.com representing parenthood.
Our good friend and fellow blogger Ronnie Bernardo of heliconprojects.com was our point person for this interview opportunity.

Blogging has become so influential and wide-spread that many companies and organization have been tapping bloggers for their online presence via product and services promotion and information dissemination as their form of marketing strategy. We all know that almost everyone is already connected almost all hours of the day through the Internet via their smartphones that have become very affordable and useful to remain connected and well-informed and updated.

However, there are also several negative issues that have surrounded the blogging community because of the powerful medium that is very accessible to everyone. If there are perks and privileges that a blogger gets, attached to it are equally disturbing news of bloggers ruining the image by going overboard or abusing their influence.

At the show, Ross was able to share that he leads a community of bloggers that are almost reaching 700 in numbers already. The Facebook group that is also called Wazzup Pilipinas boasts of an active community where several events and activities are being organized for the benefit of its members. He is able to tap the community to get correspondents or contributors for his blog which also accepts articles coming from other people aside form just bloggers.

The community is able to "police" itself by becoming guardians of each other. Bloggers report on each other to discipline erring members, but rewards are also given for those that excel. Since bloggers are just like everyone else with their unique individual persona, it is best that we get along with each other towards a common goal.

We hope the blogging community is seeing what the founder has been doing for its betterment. We have great plans that are slowly taking place already and with everyone's help we can succeed in making each one of the bloggers a powerful and formidable force to reckon with. Not to be feared but to be admired and respected.

Let us make each other shine by becoming more united and acting as one. There are a lot of companies and organizations out there that look up to us because we are a community, and we can only sustain the momentum if we give each other every opportunity to become successful.

We try our very best to give every blogger opportunities - from the event invites, to the radio show guesting, to the partnerships we form with the brands. The community is always on our mind. Everything we do is for the common good.

Like they said "There is strength in numbers" so we will help overcome each others weaknesses by harnessing from our combined efforts. As a community, no challenge will ever be difficult. Limitations will only be a thing of the past when we help train each other. We will become the future of blogging if we share our resources.

Always add the hashtag ‪#‎WazzupPilipinas‬ in everything you post so the online world will see we are one.
