Areeya Belle L. Cruz: Miss Tourism World Philippines Candidate from Pasig City

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Meet one of the candidates for Miss Tourism World Philippines 2014. She is Areeya Belle L. Cruz, 20 years old from Barangay Maybunga of Pasig City. Since I live in the same barangay, I guess it is but appropriate that I support the candidate coming from our turf. Who else should help each other but our very own "ka-barangay."

Areeya Belle is currently a 4th year Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) located at Sta. Mesa Manila. She is currently a Training Director (Catwalk Trainor) at the PUP Icons (organization) under the University Center for Culture and the Arts (UCCA).

Tourism World Philippines is not just another beauty pageant where girls parade with their swimsuits and evening gowns, the organization aims to support our Tourism Industry in promoting our country to be one of the world destinations.

In response to the government’s call to promote tourism culture and art among Filipinos and other countries, Mr. Francisco Z. Blanco Jr., heeded that call 2 years ago with a main mission to generate awareness and interest in the country’s cultural heritage and uphold the Filipino culture as a source of pride for the Filipina as they gain international recognition. In the continuous mission to uplift the global image of the Philippines and boost local tourism in the country, he then has partnered with 2 brothers in Christ, Bro. Bernard Go and Bro. Jojo Ruiz who believes this could be a great vehicle to make a difference.

Tourism World Philippines is perhaps the first of its kind where the winners will each be involved in actually performing socio-, civic-, economic- and humanitarian activities in their home towns. It is a lofty contribution as the winners will uplift the well-being of their fellow folks and generate a more productive yet dynamic impression through their actual duties for their community that is also in tandem with the Filipino spirit of bayanihan. This shall likewise serve as an opportunity for the winners to help promote tourism as Ambassadresses of Goodwill in a truly sustainable way and spur economic growth prospects for their respective regions.

In this light, this pageant is already endorsed by the Department of Interior and Local Government. To gain worldwide attention, the national pageant aims to also set records that has never been done in any other pageant. It would appear idealistic to some but those who would be chosen as the official candidates coming from their respective regions/municipalities would already be assured of a lifetime career. They will get assistance with livelihood projects.

Through this undertaking, the organizers are convinced that there are supporters who will express confidence and trust in projects shall make the Miss Tourism World Philippines 2014. The ladies should they fail to get the coveted crowns will no longer be the traditional “thank you ladies” but instead would be winners in their own right.

More hopeful candidates of the Miss Tourism World 2014
The Philippines has been very consistent in organizing, producing and marketing in the search for Miss Tourism World Philippines 2014 Candidates. The Beauty pageant will continually focus not only on beauty and feminists but, more important, on love, respect and upholding the dynamic and means of promoting how Filipinas will promote their hometown and country as a whole in abroad that can foster goodwill between their home town and country of work, with questions on knowledge of cultural differences and how to bridge such gaps and generate harmony and understanding between different nationalities.
