Paskotitap for a Pascian

Wazzup Pilipinas!

One of the most awaited competitions for the school year is the so called “Paskotitap”. Paskotitap is a combination of parade and contest that is held every December in the city of Pasig wherein different schools are given a chance to show case their talents and skills in the field of dancing.

It has always been a challenge for everyone to perform their best and give it all they have. Even before December has begun so much preparations has been done. From the props, the costumes and up to the choreography of the dance, everything required so much time.

Though it was hard for most of us we still pushed through with it and did everything we could. We help each other out and made sure that no one was behind. And when the night of the competition has finally arrived, everyone was nervous. This is our night and it’s our time to shine.

Every one of us waited for this and there was no time to back out. Countless amount of has people arrived some are familiar but most were a complete stranger. So many pascians came, from students, teachers, alumnae, and all were cheering, shouting the name of our school. This us and this is our strength, we are Pascians and we are one.

But we cannot have everything. We were not fortunate enough to win the competition. The competition was tough for us. So many of the competitors were just incredibly good. But even though we did not win nothing was really lost.

An opportunity to participate in such competition is not given to just anybody. The experiences brought to every one of us by this completion have got to be the best prize there is to be won. It’s not much but it priceless.

That’s why Paskotitap is considered to be one of the highlights in a Pascian’s life. It wasn’t a win but it’s definitely not a lost either.
