UPCAT, Matched Trilogy and Korean Dramas : Summer Spent Productively

Wazzup Pilipinas!

It was the first of April when my summer vacation officially started. We had our farewell party that day with my third year classmates, III-Bohr. I can still remember everyone wearing their smiles that day despite the fact that we’re about to separate.

We held the party at Pasig Millenium Garden. Everyone was there enjoying our last moments as III-Bohr.

After that day, I really didn’t do a lot. I stayed in front of the computer screen doing nothing but reading blogs and waiting for EXO comeback (EXO- kpop group).

People may find it boring, especially reading blogs, but for me it was fun. I read blogs about UPCAT and it gave me tips in preparing for the coming exam.

On the 12th of April, my sister, Caroline graduated from her course, BS Accountancy so we celebrated it. After a week, my sister started preparing for her CPA Board Exam. I accompany her in reviewing at the library the whole day. She’s reviewing for her board exam while I’m reviewing for UPCAT.

After weeks of reviewing, my sister left the house. She’s going to stay in her dorm (which is near to her review center, CPAR) for months in preparation for her board exam. We didn’t have a family outing this summer because of the reason that my sister can’t join.

I really love reading books; my love for books is unconditional for it saves me from the dreary monotony of real life. One of the books I’ve read this summer is the Matched Trilogy that comprises of three books (Matched, Crossed, and Reached). The book was nice, and really a page-turner. I even stayed up till 3am just to finish it. It talked about society, and how it unreasonably controls its people. I admire one of its characters, Cassia Reyes. She managed to go against the society with Ky Markham and Xander and they succeeded.

I also watched a lot of Korean dramas with Charlene (my sister) this summer. We watched “Ma Boy”, “Reply 1997”, “TTBY”, and etc. We’re really fond of Korean dramas, and kpop music, that’s why we seldom fight. Sometimes, we fight over petty things such as “having the same kpop fandom” which I’m not in favor because she kept on bragging about being with her bias in her dreams which is so irritating.

All in all, I still enjoyed this summer, despite the fact that we didn’t have a family outing. I still considered it as a productive summer, because I was able to review for UPCAT, and have fun doing things I really love.

It is not always a must to go have an outing every summer. In fact, you made your summer very productive :)
