Draw The Line : Summer Camp 2013 Brings Out The New Me

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Last May 7-10, 2013, a Youth camp was held in Morong, Rizal. It is a camp which teaches teenagers of different ages spiritual values and the word of God. Cainta United Methodist Church held this yearly activity to inspire youths to change for the better. Each year, they come up with their own theme and this year's theme, was TRANSFORMATION.

A lot of Youth campers - or as what we call delegates - were transformed including me. I learned a lot during our four days stay in that camp. We had invited speakers and pastors from different churches to share to us their life testimonies on how God acted in their lives. They inspired us youths so much that some of us even testified our own life changing experiences with Christ. We spent most of our time devoting our lives to God not just by means of hearing and sharing life testimonies. Our youth leaders had set fun and challenging activities which encouraged us to overcome obstacles and taught us lessons that can be applied in our Christian lives.

It is such an amazing opportunity to be a part of that yearly activity. I was able to identify and change the lifestyle that hinders me to grow spiritually. I'm so blessed and I can't wait to see other youths feel the love of God. I can see how God worked to stir the hearts of the youth in making the right decision and the stand to be set apart for God's divine purpose. God's overflowing blessing is more than enough and right now, The New Me is ready to be an instrument to show and share the love of God, is happy to be an inspiration to the future generation, and is more than willing to be a blessing to others. Truly I am TRANSFORMED, and I am proud to say that the Youth Camp Year 2013....... DREW THE LINE.

  2. Hi Snyrrah! I was inspired at the same time regretful after reading your article. I always want to join youth camps like what you did. Our church's pastor and my church friends invites me every summer since the first time I joined the Youth to join these camps. I joined the Youth 4 or 5 years ago so they had been inviting me for almost 5 years already. I was not allowed by parents for the first years but for the later years the reason why I was not able to join is that I'm always busy during summer vacations. I regret the times I wasted to meet new friends, visit many beautiful camping sites and the teachings and realizations I should have learned and may have transformed me. :)
