Miss Universe Philippines 2020 candidate Billie Hakenson is Bisexual

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"One of the candidates of the Miss Universe Philippines pageant was proud to show the world that she is part of the LGBTQIA+ community after identifying herself as bisexual."

Billie Hakenson is representing Cavite and he is proudly a bixesual - a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.

So she gets to have a chance to win the "Filipina" crown made by the owners of the Villarica Pawnshop chain?

The Miss Universe Philippines Organization is happy to know that contestants feel they could "be themselves" during the pageant.

This should not be allowed. Nothing against bisexual but this a contest for pure women. Abuso naman kung pati sa ganyan i allow pa.

I get it; being true to yourself and whatnot. But this is not the proper avenue for LGBTQIA+. They have their own pageants, di ba? Eh, paano kung ang sumali sa Miss Gay Universe pageant ay tunay na babae? Issue na yun, malamang.

The message they are trying to promote here is that being ‘different’ or morally misaligned is okay - but its not.

Try harder.

Maybe he is just being used to spark interest for the pageant even during the pandemic.

The first batch of candidates for Miss Universe Philippines 2020 has toured around the Strawberry Farm during their visit in La Trinidad, Benguet on Thursday as the said province will host more than 50 bets for the beauty pageant on October 15 and 16.

The coronation day of the first edition of Miss Universe Philippines will be held at Baguio Country Club this Sunday, October 25.

World-acclaimed designer Furne Amato is the official finals swimwear designer. Amato is a well-known and well-loved Filipino designer who has taken the Middle East by storm.

It's time for 2019 Miss Universe Philippines Gazini Ganados to pass the crown to her successor.

KC Montero and Benjamin Alves will be hosting.

Miss Universe Philippines has also revealed the pre-pageant events - interview, national costume, swimsuit and evening.

Lou Dominique Piczon, representing Mandaue City, won the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Runway challenge. She was followed by Miss Laguna and Miss ParaƱaque.

More than 40 ladies will compete for the chance to represent the country next year.

Also, two Miss Universe Philippines candidates have withdrawn from the competition after contracting the coronavirus disease.

See you in Baguio City.
