Wazzup Pilipinas!

Reports state that two Islamic militants were responsible with the country’s worst extremist attack this year.

The national police is mobilizing all available security forces in the aftermath of the twin bombings.

Various agencies, including the DND and AFP, under the Duterte administration, has coveted a record-high intel and surveillance budget of Php8.5-billion.

Despite this, the Jolo, Sulu twin bombings happened under their noses.

Anyare?

We demand the truth on the Jolo, Sulu twin bombings and justice for the innocent victims who perished.

However, we warn the PNP and NCRPO not to use the recent attacks to justify heightened police presence and abuse of authority in NCR and other urban centers.

The PNP said it supports Army chief Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana’s push for a declaration of martial law in Sulu after the recent two bombings that hit Jolo.

"This will allow the military and police more operational flexibility to carry out law enforcement operations against domestic threat groups in the area," PNP chief Gen Archie Gamboa says in a statement.

Senators Panfilo Lacson and Vicente Sotto say the anti-terror bill is enough.

So far, the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) is the only group suspected to be behind the Jolo, Sulu twin bombings that killed at least 14 and wounded at least 75 on Monday, August 25.

Could it be that the bombings are a fear tactic to convince people that the military force must be protected, is the priority, and has to get the vaccine first?

The CHR said that it will conduct an investigation calling the act as “cruel and inhuman.”

Philippine Coast Guard commandant Admiral George Ursabia places their Southwestern Mindanao District under red alert as a result of the twin bombings in Sulu.

Authorities said they will also implement strict security measures in Metro Manila following the twin bombings.
