Capturing Amazing Photos and Videos of Ilocos Province with the Vivo V7+

Wazzup Pilipinas!

One of the features I look for when choosing a mobile phone is having a dependable high-resolution camera. I need clear and vibrant photos and videos especially with my work as a blogger and media personality. The ability to capture images instantly is primarily necessary for us who cover news and events. There should always be a smartphone handy enough for easy point and click, and of course to match it with enough storage space to keep all those photos and videos safe and intact.

It has come to a point when my mirror-less camera takes a back seat as it is most preferred to share news immediately via social media, and that would only be possible with smartphones which would allow us to quickly upload on social media like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and the rest.

Though there are already cameras with built-in connectivity, the portability of using smartphones makes it more convenient to use. Nothing can match the lightness of a smartphone as compared to any of the existing cameras out there. I'm hoping very soon that there would come a time when smartphone cameras will take the place of the bulky DSLRs, mirror-less' and point-and-clicks. The future looks so bright and I'm feeling a bit optimistic that it would soon be the reality.

But I think the future is here as I am witness to how smartphones can be used for even professional videography.

At our TV shoot for Season 2 of Brand TV where we now highlight destinations as part of the Travel and Tours theme, Vivo V7+ smartphones were used in taking videos for the TV shoot.

Now, that's amazing! It seems so fast that now we could actually replace the bulky video cameras with a smartphone that has superb camera quality. The Vivo V7+ not only takes wonderful selfies and groupfies of both photos and videos, both front and rear cameras allows you to produce your own TV show. Need I say more?

Our first shoot takes us to Ilocos Province - from Ilocos Sur to Ilocos Norte, the Vivo V7+ smartphones play an important role in documenting our travel with the said province. I'm sure if we had plenty of time to roam around the entire province, we would be brining home more memories, or videos for our TV show that will soon be aired at Global News Network every Saturday at 8:30 pm.

Together with my co-host, our video team equipped with two Vivo V7+ smartphones took videos of us from two angles. Though we did used other cameras, and a drone to take more fascinating videos, the Vivo V7+ smartphones participation was a big deal.

Thank you to Vivo for the opportunity to test out their smartphones for video production. We've visited places like the Quirino bridge, Bangui windmills, Cape Bojeador Lighthouse, etc. We also stayed at a heritage-rich accommodation that brings back memories of the past, feasted at restaurants like the Cuisine de Iloco, Mira Hills, Kusina de Kenyong, Hidden Garden, etc. To make the travel more engaging, we also interviewed the people like the restaurant and hotel owners, and other personalities like Chavit Singson at his famous zoo called Baluarte. This is because it is the people that puts the fun in any travel opportunity around the Philippines. As what our tourism campaign say, It's More Fun in the Philippines because of the Filipinos.

But I won't reveal everything about our Ilocos adventure since it would be better if you watch it on TV soon. Just scroll down below for more photos. Videos are reserved for the actual TV show, but we'll try to upload a few at our social media pages after the episode gets shown already on TV.

Just head on over at our Facebook page for more Behind-The-Scenes shots, and our YouTube channel for the videos.

But wait, there's more. Our adventure with the Vivo V7+ was not limited to the Ilocos Province because on our next weekend trip, we also used the units at our Camarines Province shoot where not even the bad weather filled with rain stopped us from taking amazing photos and videos using the Vivo V7+. Details of this particular adventure will be posted on our next blog post. Please do watch out for it.
