#BeMoreImaginative: Solenn Heussaff is New Toblerone Celebrity Ambassador

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Solenn Heussaff is launched recently as the newest celebrity ambassador of Toblerone, the premium chocolate brand with its delectable flavors – milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate and milk chocolate with crunchy almonds - that we all love.

Why was she chose? Perhaps because she is the multi-talented "It Girl" that is a true creative soul that pursues artistic endeavors in drawing and painting. This is because Toblerone has also launched new sleeve designs of which two were conceptualized by Solenn herself.

Solenn designed two limited edition Toblerone Christmas Sleeves that will be available in leading convenient stores and supermarkets nationwide. Along with her designs are four other limited edition Toblerone Christmas sleeves created by four more endorsers composed of the most sought-after calligraphers and artists in the Philippines - Alexis Ventura, Abbey Sy, Valerie Chua and Tokwa Penaflorida.

At the launch held on November 15, 2016 at the Whitespace events place in Makati city, Solenn and the four artists, showcasing their artworks now incorporated on the new Christmas sleeves, were introduced to the attendees. I was not able to witness the rest of the event since I needed to go early for another event that was earlier arranged before I got an invite to the Toblerone event. Of course, I don't want to miss getting a few Toblerone myself and witness even just the few hours of the event.

But someone up there really loves me. It was a great thing that both Solenn and the four artists were also earlyl at the event.I was able to interview them, well basically the four artists and just tagged along with the interview of a TV network with Solenn. Anyway, all the questions I wanted to ask from her were similar, and I gave way to the TV networks with the interview opportunities. Check out also our video with Arlene Amante, Brand Marketing Manager of Toblerone, or more appropriately Mondelez International - the company carrying the Toblerone brand here in the Philippines.

Toblerone encourages everyone to put his or her creative twist on its iconic triangular sleeve. The organizers gave three Toblerone sleeves of different as blank canvas so we can design our own images on them. There was also a booth which allows you to design on a computer and have them printed so we can take them home with us. However, I still consider the former as the best way to let out our creativity and #BeMoreImaginative since we can use markers, glitter pens, watercolors or paint to create our very own designs.

My seat mates were just too good with the drawing and coloring that I got a bit intimidated. Lol! Seriously, a lot of the attendees were really good with their artworks. I went around and looked at their works just to see if I can fairly compete with them...hehehe. Sadly, I had to concede because there were so many who really do a great job drawing. There was the Editor-in-Chief of a food magazine that was also a chef and was really good in drawing all-time Filipino delicacies like lechon, puto bumbong, bibingka and everything else that reminds us of Christmas. After all, the Toblerone event was also an early Christmas celebration being the main highlight was all about the new but limited edition Toblerone Christmas sleeves - which are actually a bonus and could also be a collectors' item since it might be all gone even before the Christmas season ends.

Prior to the start of the event, attendees were treated to Toblerone-infused sweets buffet prepared by Bizu catering. All except one (the one with the strawberries) of the sweet treats had a piece of Toblerone as part of it. I got a piece of every kind, all 6, and tried them all. I was already full on the last piece so even though I wanted to go a second round, my stomach is too weak for eat-all-you-can buffets.

The Toblerone Buffet also shows how we can #BeMoreImaginative with our desserts using Toblerone.

If you still do not know, Toblerone also came out a few days earlier with an announcement which we can now all notice when we buy the recent releases of the product:

"We appreciate the passion of Toblerone fans around the world. Due to rising costs in making our chocolate, we recently announced a weight reduction in two Toblerone bars. The 400g bar was reduced to 360g while the 170g, sold in the UK only, is now 150g. Our other bars remain unchanged. We will never compromise on taste nor our famous Swiss quality and can assure you that the Toblerone recipe hasn’t changed." - Toblerone

They may have reduced the size, but it's because they want to retain the same Swiss quality taste of the product. True enough, I would rather have a smaller version but still having the same taste I grew up with.

So what are we waiting for? Let's all grab the opportunity to still get our hands on the limited edition sleeves designed by the Toblerone endorsers. Find out if their artworks pass your standards, and enjoy the chocolatey goodness of our favorite Toblerone bars.
