Manila X Festival Exceeds Expectations

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Last Saturday, June 04, Manila X exceeded expectations as the first ever proudly local style and music festival in the country. The grandest fusion of music and fashion brought a multi-sensual feast accessible to every Filipino

Zalora was the first to present its romantic summer collection with music from The Juans Thyro and Yumi. This was followed by Myrrh Lao To's Coachella show led by stars Angel Locin, Pokwang, K Brosas, KZ Tandingan and Ylona Garcia. Up Dharma Downserenaded the crowd with their laidback hits as models strutted the runway.

John Paul Dizon went sleek with sophisticated looks to match his celebrity models led by Wynwyn Marquez, Jake Ejercito, Phytos Ramirez, Yasser Martha, Koreen Medina, Pauline Medina and Roxanne Barcelo. This was accompanied by performances from Kiana Valenciano and Yeng Constantino in collaboration with DJ Mars Miranda.

Next on the runway are youthful sportswear looks by duo Rain Dagala and Em Millan, pumped up by an explosive performance from Gloc 9 and DJ Badkiss. Last but definitely not the least is the grunge show by Bang Pineda brought to life by Kjwan's hardcore rock performance. To keep everyone on a high note, DJs Jessica Milner, duo Curse & Bless, Marc Marasigan, Tom Taus and Ace Ramos spun the night away, keeping everyone on their toes.

Directed by Paolo Valenciano, Manila X came from the aspiration of Founder and Creative Director, stylist John Lozano to give every Filipino access to fashion and styling, and ultimately help realize and embrace individuality through the merging of runway shows and musical performances.

Sponsored by make-up label BYS, and powered by Zalora and TaskUs Philippines, the fastest growing startup firm in the country, Manila X is the first of its kind in the Philippines — an proudly local event where music and fashion collide.
