Chickilicious Chicken Steak and Tea Shop: Taiwan's No. 1 XXL Fried Chicken and More

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Taiwan's No. 1 XXL Fried Chicken is now here in the Philippines to give Filipinos real value for their hard-earned money!

My visit at Chickilicious Chicken Steak and Tea Shop gave me an awesome opportunity to try out for the first time a couple of their humongous slab of XXL fried chicken, namely the Takoyaki Crispy and the BBQ flavored fried chickens. If you love spicy chicken meals, then you can order them with three levels of spiciness from light, medium to extra spicy.

My first reaction was quite a surprise because I was expecting like a fastfood-sized chicken piece. What was served to me was quite a large piece that was a real steal if you'll consider its price. The huge piece of fried chicken was indeed very worth every peso you'll pay for it.

Match that with several choices for teas and juices. My drink was the highly recommended Taiwan Ultra Lemon Juice which was more refreshing than the ordinary lemonade drinks from other restaurants. I would have loved to try out the other teas and juices but I needed more room for the snacks that I ordered.

This is because Chickilicious also serves snacks that are not common at other restaurants. I ordered the Crispy Fried BBQ Tofu, Baked Cheese French Fries, Taiwan's Honey Bun, and the Crispy Century Egg. They were also the highly recommended snacks among the many other choices.

Thwe video above is a summary of my dining experience showing the restaurant ambiance, and the meals I ordered, while below you'll see my interview with cousins Jeyson and Michelle Sy, owners of Chickilicious Philippines.

By the way, they also said that they are open for franchising so grab the chance to own a branch. I've heard that they already have plans to open up a third branch soon somewhere in the Ortigas area. Since they already have a branch up North (SM North EDSA Annex) and down South (SM SEA Residences MOA), it's but right to choose their third location somewhere in the middle area.- maybe SM Megamall, Robinson's Galleria, or anywhere easily accessible for customers.

My previous Facebook post about Chickilicious sounds like I'm reciting a poem. Lots of rhymes. Pag nasasarapan talaga ako ay parang napapa-tula din ako.

Who's serving XXL Fried Chickens that are both delicious and affordable?

"Para sa mga tunay na gutom at palaban sa kainan,
malalaking serving ng pritong manok with so many flavors to choose from
May levels of spiciness pa like light, medium and extra
Pwede rin i-take out para pasalubong sa kapatid, kapuso or kapamilya

where all recipes and ingredients were sourced from
except for the chickens which came from a trusted local poultry
para guaranteed really fresh and absolutely healthy.

inviting you all to try out Chickilicous Chicken Steak and Tea House"

Taiwan Ultra Lemon Juice (P120)
Lots of choices for teas and milk teas, and juices, with add-ons of diamond pearls, rainbow jelly, grass jelly and pudding. You can also choose the sweetness from 0%, 50% or 100%, and similar measurements for ice cubes. The Taiwan Ultra Lemon Juice costs only P120. The Taiwan Black Tea was the least expensive at P70.

Chickilicious BBQ Chicken (P130)
The huge Chickilicious BBQ Fried Chicken was good enough for two persons. You just need to order an extra rice and its big enough for sharing. I loved the tasty BBQ flavor of this particular fried chicken meal. The meal is served in square metal plates (or you could call it a bowl) that looked so small for the huge chicken meat and 1 piece rice.

Chickilicious Crispy Takoyaki (P140)
The Crispy Takoyaki is absolutely a tribute to the takoyaki snacks that we know. This is something totally different from what we normally see at other fast food restaurants specializing on fried chicken as their main meal. From the spherical takoyaki to an XXL Fried Chicken, you have to admit that this is indeed a level up,

Bake Cheese French Fries (P80)
The edge of their Bake Cheese French Fries is on the cheese toppings. Since it's baked, it means its a healtheir option from the fries that are deep-fried. You'll appreciate the crispy and soggy combo of fries and cheese mixed together. You better eat this fast so you'll enjoy the crispiness.

Taiwan's Honey Bun (P80)
Taiwan's Honey Bun was for me the best choice for snacks as the 4 piece honey bun meal is both filling and tasty. For only P80, this means each piece is worth P20 only.

Chickilicious Crispy Fried BBQ Tofu
I love tofu so the Crispy Fried BBQ Tofu was obviously a favorite too. There simply is only a few ways to cook tofu into a meal and so the opportunity to experience their dishes is a special treat.

Crispy Century Egg (P70)
I was expecting more from their Crispy Century Egg. Not bad, but nothing really remarkable. The packaging presentation may be too big for this whole Century Egg divided into bite-size pieces.

Chickilicious Pearly Black Jellicious and Golden Jellicious (P49 each)
For dessert, they have the Chickilicious Pearly Black Jellicious and Golden Jellicious available for only P49 each. The black pearls are the same ones they use for their milk tea add-ons.

Thank you Chickilicious for having me at your SM North EDSA Annex branch and hoping to visit your other branches too.

Visit Chicklicious at the Upper Ground Floor of SM City North Edsa Annex and at the Sea Residence of Mall of Asia (MOA) Complex.
