Craving for The Suite Room by Casa Verde of Cebu

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Currently one of my most memorable trips right now is my three-day adventure  in Cebu during Sinulog weekend. It is by far my most daring tour of a place where I courageously tried to find my way within the province.

By all means necessary, may it be riding the multi-cabs, the "habal-habals" (motorbike as a passenger), the buses, or if there's no other way, the taxis, I roam around Cebu guided only by Google maps and directions from the local residents.

There may have been a few language barriers since some of the Cebuanos do not understand Tagalog, or, the other way around, I don't know a word of Bisaya, so I got lost a few times. But I soon found my way with the help of common sense and friendly inquiries to bystanders and PUV drivers.

One of my destinations during my Sinulog weekend escapade was to visit The Suite Room by Casa Verde. They have two branches in Cebu but I was only able to visit their Ayala Center branch due to lack of time. I had such a hectic schedule in Cebu, I failed to show up at a few other committed invitations. The Suite Room was part of my restaurant hopping agenda - to showcase some of the restaurants we can find in Cebu.

Thanks to Therese and Patricia of Casa Verde, the mother restaurant that runs The Suite Room, I had a fabulous early dinner to last the entire night that ended with some fireworks display competition at a mall nearby. I would have loved to visit other party venues in Cebu but the body was weak even though the mind was very much willing.

The restaurant never ran out of customers from the very moment I stepped in at around 4 pm until I left at around 8 pm. It is a moderately sized restaurant with slightly dimmed lighting but cozy earthy-colored interiors. One area is elevated consisting of bigger tables and seats designed for a bigger group.

They even have sort of a fireplace, though not really working, at one corner to set the mood for that classy sophisticated almost high-end restaurant ambiance.

These pink and yellow-colored flowers adds a touch of femininity to an otherwise almost masculine dark table setting. Of course, the salt and pepper condiments, and the wine bottle compliments. Just as how women add color to men's life whose days on Earth would be plain, dull and boring.

Elegant and unique chandeliers hang from their ceiling, while their table place mats are consistent with their brownish hues.

At their main counter where the servers gather is a coffee table book entitled "Escano: A Family Portrait" which tells all about the Escano family, the family who started the Casa Verde group of restaurants. The Noel family is the other lineage that is part of the story of Casa Verde of which until now runs the group of restaurants.

The people who I met in Cebu were actually all related to each other which led me to realize it is a family business that grew into a now highly respected and successful brand.

You'll love their brownish curved chairs that will make you want to stretch out and hang around a little more longer after dining.

Every table has a wine in the middle so there's definitely options to drink wine. They have other brands aside from what's on the table so be sure to ask the servers.

But let's now focus on their highly recognized dishes which gave many the reason to keep on returning as satisfied customers.

Cucumber Lemonade
The refreshing Cucumber Lemonade of The Suite Room by Casa Verde of Cebu will undeniably quench your thirst. It is a perfect match to every main entree on their menu. You may want to have another glass soon as it is really an addicting drink.

Mixed Greens with Grapes, Candied Nuts and Strawberry Vinaigrette
Words are not enough to describe my delight with the Mixed Greens with Grapes, Candied Nuts and Strawberry Vinaigrette of The Suite Room by Casa Verde of Cebu. A mixture of everything nice and healthy that will definitely agree with your tongue and tummy. I finished a plateful of this during my Sinulog weekend visit in Cebu.

Pan-fried Salmon in Citrus Butter Sauce with Mushroom Risotto
OMG! This mouth-watering salmon dish is very memorable! The flavor still lingers and it's been days since Sinulog weekend. Pan-fried Salmon in Citrus Butter Sauce with Mushroom Risotto of The Suite Room by Casa Verde of Cebu - Do I need to say more? The name of this flavorful dish already excites you enough to immediately try it as soon as it is served on your table. The serving is so huge you may want to share it with a friend. But if you are really hungry, it will absolutely do the trick!

Apple Ice Cream Pie
You have to try the Apple Ice Cream Pie of The Suite Room by Casa Verde of Cebu. It is simply a heavenly dessert!!! Thick, creamy and flavorful. This phenomenal cold dessert will literally make you swoon!! Trust us, we're foodies on steroids!!!

You got to love that smile indeed!!! The Suite Room by Casa Verde located in Ayala Center, Cebu restaurant manager is all smiles during my visit. I asked her to do a short video message for all of us to invite everyone to visit their two branches in Cebu so watch out for it here and at our YouTube and Dailymotion video channels.

What more can you ask for? Excellent and reasonably-priced food, cozy ambiance and a friendly crew. They are enough reason why everything is almost perfect at their restaurant.

I asked for a group shot of the crew when I visited and they were game to do it. All cheerful like their branch manager whose smile is so contagious.

I will definitely be coming back to this place as well as recommend it to those who loves good food experienced in a classy yet affordable way. Cheers and more power to The Suite Room!!
