Brotzeit Hosts Cooking Classes for Kids

Wazzup Pilipinas!

This summer, Brotzeit is once again offering kids a unique opportunity to learn how to cook simple German dishes in a fun setting. Dubbed Kinder Koche, or little chef in German, the kiddie cooking classes will be conducted by Brotzeit’s Culinary Director, Chef Ivan Maminta, who is Swiss-trained and fluent in German.

This will mark the second year that Brotzeit will be offering these cooking sessions for kids as last year's students & parents were very happy with the results.

Classes kicked off on April 10 with lessons on how to cook Brezn (German pretzels). This will be followed by the next course, Schokokuchen (Chocolate cake), on April 25, Fladen (Pizza) on May 16, and finally, Apfelstrudel (Apple Strudel), on May 23. Along the way, kids will learn key German phrases, too!

Each course costs P1,500 and includes an apron for the parent/guardian, a shirt for the child, basic kitchen tools, recipe sheets and a Certificate of Completion. (Tip: If you are enrolling more than one child, or if your child is taking more than one course, you can get great discounts!)

Doesn’t that sound like a fun way to learn new things and bond with the kiddos this summer? For inquiries or to reserve your slot, phone (02) 631 1489 or email reservations@brotzeitphil.com. Brotzeit German Bier Bar & Restaurant is located at 112 Streetscape, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, EDSA.
