Simplivity Offers Massive TCO Savings and Accelerated Data Efficiency

Wazzup Pilipinas!

There's a new solution in IT administration that offers 300% savings in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and increased data efficiency via a global unified management using VMWare vCenter administration.

I've been a network and systems administrator for several years and experienced a multitude of servers crowding our data centers. This includes a spaghetti-like wiring that would often confused us, plus the extreme heat dissipation emanating from the machines may it be 1u, 2u or blade servers.

Thus I was extremely surprised that there is now a technology that would put away the prehistoric dinosaurs of the data center. I guess with this technology, one server cabinet inside our data center would suffice already.

Imagine your towering servers filled with lots of servers being replaced by a couple of 2u servers. The hyperconvergence technology offers up to 3x reduction in TCO offering reduced cost. Now that's a lot of savings and efficiency for your data center.

SimpliVity, the leader in hyperconverged infrastructure for teh software-defined data center, kicks-off  their “Get Hyperconverged” World Tour to help businesses simplify their IT infrastructure. There are more than 40 Cities in 20 countries named already – more to come soon. In South East Asia, the Tour started in Manila last 6 March at the Makati Shangri-La hotel in Makati. The morning was dedicated to media, while the afternoon was for the IT community.

This technology tour will follow at Jakarta on 9 March, Kuala Lumpur on 11 March and Singapore on 12 March. As mentioned, more cities will also be added to the global schedule as the tour progresses.

The two and a half hour educational events are designed for IT professionals and virtualization experts who would like to learn how a hyperconverged infrastructure can simplify their virtualized IT environments. The sessions will feature industry experts presenting the state of hyperconvergence, and IT leaders who will share their real-world experience and the benefits that they are seeing from hyperconverged infrastructure in their environments.

In the Philippines, Scott Morris, Simplivity's VP for Asia Pacific, was the featured speaker who gave members of the media an overview of the technology and what it offers in IT management. Though many of us couldn't easily comprehend what he has to share since not all are tech-savvy, I'm sure the many IT administrators and management team would agree that the solution Simplivity offers would dramatically change how we look at data centers.

From the press release, Scott says they are looking forward to engaging with the IT community across the region on their global tour with featured speaker Alastair Cooke. The well-known author, consultant and vExpert active in the virtualization community, has many experiences to share a unique perspective on how hyperconvergence is helping organisations drive efficiency and agility.

They are also looking forward to hearing real world customer examples of how hyperconvergence is driving signifigant TCO reductions.

The continuing tour is expected to attract the attendance of IT professionals and virtualization experts who are interested in understanding hyperconvergence and how it can help can help with the following challenges and opportunities:

· ongoing performance issues within legacy environments
· keeping pace deploying new applications to meet the demands of internal stakeholders
· data center migration or consolidation
· improving backup or disaster recovery
· managing multiple sites centrally
· technology refresh projects
· data center modernization
· private cloud
· improving operational efficiencies or lowering TCO
