2nd International Travel Festival: The Ultimate Christmas Travel Event

The Philippines' Department of Tourism aims to achieve 10 Million tourists every year until the end of 2016.

This target is aided by the major improvements in International Airports in Manila and secondary airports in Cebu, Clark, Iloilo to mention a few.

The rise of budget fares led to significant growth in foreign tourists and domestic travels. This increased led to major hotel players investing in the country. Fairmont, Raffles and Tune Hotels are some of the brands that increased their presence in the country.

In the coming year, the Department of Tourism launched the “Visit the Philippines” Campaign. Already some of the notable international events that will take place in the country for the year 2015 are the Papal Visit, APEC Summit, Madrid Fusion, Asia Pacific Retailers Convention and Exhibition, 40th Kiwanis Asia Pacific Convention to name a few.

Amidst these positive developments in the tourism industry, the 2nd International Travel Festival (ITF) slated this December 18-20, 2014 at SMX Convention Center aims to support the momentum the tourism industry is experiencing.

The 2nd International Travel Festival (ITF) aims to contribute and jumpstart the first quarter travel and tour volume yearly of the country by providing promotion platform to travel and tour agencies, hotels, resorts and related tourism companies.

In addition, the 2nd International Travel Festival (ITF) aims to provide affordable travel and tour packages to OFWs and Balikbayan that will be coming in the country this December.

The National Independent Travel Agencies (NAITAS) partners in the 2nd International Travel Festival, NAITAS is the largest travel and tour association in terms of membership in the country.

NAITAS will hold a fellowship meeting during the first day of the event. At the same time, some of its members will be participating in the event as exhibitors.

Some of the supporting companies of the event are Philippine Airlines, Department of Tourism Region 4, Camaya Resort, Island Cove, Enchanted Kingdom, Ocean Adventure, Palo Alto, Advil Travel and Tours, Southwest Tours, Bakasyunan Resort and Conference Center, Fortwally Travel and Tours, Create Tours and Services, Mulan Travel Services Corp to name a few.

During the three day event of the 2nd International Travel Festival travel and tour packages will be raffled daily.

  2. Tourism here in the Philippines is rapidly growing because of good transportation from other countries. With this program of the DOT, it can help attract more tourists and we can get many benefits from it. :)
