The Shrimp Shack: Suck, Peel, Eat and Enjoy!

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Any food lover will tell you that the real draw of Oahu's North Sphere in Hawaii are the shrimp trucks. The shrimp truck business has flourished to this day and most of the popular ones are still packing long lines daily by tourists and locals alike.

The Shrimp Shack (TSS) intends to capture the culinary experience of traveling to this wonderful destination by giving their guests an authentic Hawaiian Shrimp Scampi experience. To ensure freshness and high-quality, they use fresh, local, in-shell, white shrimps. As the locals of Oahu do, it is best to suck the shrimp first to get all that tasty flavor in your mouth, peel of the shell, eat and lastly to enjoy!

These are my kind of dishes since I really love shrimps, prawns, and most seafood out there. They would always be the first ones I will pick from the menu, and my preferred choice in all buffets. I will never grow tired of eating shrimps

We were fortunate to be invited to the food tasting event last August 21, 2014 at The Shrimp Shack - another restaurant venture from the same people who brought us Grilla, The Old Spaghetti House, Swensen's and Pott's Point Cafe. The restaurant is located at Market Market in Bonifacio Global City.

With plenty of choices to choose from, you are bound to find your favorite in the TSS menu.

TSS Iced Tea (P 60)
The TSS Iced Tea is a combination of pineapple and lemon iced tea concocted to quench your thirst. Loved the mixture so much since it is a welcomed change form the usual lemon iced tea.

Hawaiian Chicken  Salad with water Chestnut (P 140)
The Hawaiian Chicken Salad with Water Chestnut offers a delightful starter to bring out your appetite to want more of what's coming. You have a choice to include shrimps here by just adding an extra P 55 on your bill.

Shrimp Popcorn (P 195)
The Shrimp Popcorn is breaded shrimp with popcorn. This is another starter that is also best as a movie-watching snack. But I do hope they have a bigger portion as it will quickly disappear the moment you bite on one. Try combining the popcorn with the breaded shrimp to appreciate it even more.

Tomato-Chesse Fondue served with Nachos(P 145)
Tomato-Chesse Fondue served with Nachos was quite fulfilling as a starter. It has the right amount of flavor that will entice you to continue grabbing those nachos and dip it in the tomato and cheese fondue.

Shrimp Po-Boy Sandwich (P 185)
The Shrimp Po-Boy Sandwich is composed of shrimp popcorn with remoulade dressing in ciabatta bread. It also comes with French fries. Since it highlights he shrimp popcorn. the same taste is experienced but enhanced by the remoulade dressing.

Chili Con Carne Pasta (P 185)
You will love the Chili Con Carne Pasta because of its spicy flavor that won't hurt your taste buds. The pasta itself is flavorful that its already best as is, but of course the shrimps are the climax of the dining experience.

U.S. Angus Cheese Burger (P 265)
The U.S. Angus Cheese Burger is no doubt truly a sensational dish. I would gladly add this among my  best burgers in town list.

Soy-Glazed Chicken Barbecue (BBQ)
You'll also enjoy the Soy-Glazed Chicken Barbecue (BBQ). I've tasted a lot of similar dishes but this qualifies among the best.

Angus Pot Roast beef Belly (P 285)
The Angus Pot Roast beef Belly served with Mash Potatoes and Gravy will fill you up easily while smiling effortlessly.

U.S. Angus Burger Steak (P 255)
The U.S. Angus Burger Steak is served with rice and topped with a sunny-side-up fried egg and poured with gravy. This is also known as Loco Moco. Same great taste as the U.S. Angus Cheese Burger.

Apple Crisp ala Mode(P 130)
Dessert was extra special thanks to the Apple Crisp ala Mode that brought out sunshine inspite of the cold rainy weather outside that day. You'll keep this as one of your favorite since it has vanilla ice cream. Who doesn't love ice cream?

Salted Caramel Decadent Brownie Sundae (P 145)

They served the best for last when they served the Salted Caramel Decadent Brownie Sundae. Quite a long name for a dessert but it was definitely a superb sweet treat for me. The price was also very reasonable that you will keep on coming back for more.

Bloggers with Ace Azarraga, Marketing Manager of The Shrimp Shack and other restaurants
The early bird bloggers who arrived on or before the designated time enjoyed a great lunch that day which was actually a holiday. We all went home with smiles in our faces and a tummy filled with goodness.

More Bloggers came to partake of the delightful dishes at The Shrimp Shack
Overall, the dining experience at The Shrimp Shack was more than satisfactory, though I would have loved it more if it offered more shrimp specialties. I appreciate the variety of choices like chicken and beef dishes but I wanted more of the shrimps, shrimps, shrimps.

Although the TSS restaurant is a bit small, you should realize that it is connected with The Old Spaghetti House (TOSH) just beside it. You can actually sit at TOSH but order dishes from the TSS menu. The restaurant was originally all TOSH but they decided to renovate and get a portion of the space to setup TSS.

The restaurant is available for franchising opportunities just like the other chain of restaurants from the same group.Aside from the Market Market, they also have branches at the Mall of Asia and Robinson's Place Malate.
