Who Wants to Be the Philippines' Next Top Blogger?

Wazzup Pilipinas!

What are the signs that your blog has made significant accomplishments? Will you still be the same blogger after all the popularity and success? Will you be raising your standards when you feel you are now among the "top" and "influential" in demand bloggers? Would you want to be the next top blogger?

Some would start branding themselves as elite, authority, influential, class A, top, or whatever seems so "up above there" that you would feel somehow envious of their achievements.

Some would start surround themselves with fellow bloggers whom they think are equally "cool" and "hot" ..following the saying that "Bloggers of the same number of followers, blog together."

Some would be so choosy that they won't attend an event if it's not exclusive to only a few of them. They would even ignore an event that is open to the public....and if given the chance, they would only invite their blogger friends even if there are better bloggers out there.

Some would feel they owe the blogging community the responsibility to "police" the community, so they will post anything that would humiliate their fellow bloggers. Thinking others would easily believe them without consulting facts. Only fools listen to fools. I pity those that are so gullible.

Whatever their style or strategy, "Walang basagan ng trip!" Let them be. Let them do what makes them happy. Never talk back if you want to remain alive. Talk back and you're dead!

1. Awards and Recognitions - Well...the award giving bodies love us...Whether you believe it or not...we don't have enough moolah to buy our own awards. We also don't belittle an award-giving body just because they have their own ways of running their organization and picking the winners. Awards just keep coming so we don't complain. If they love to rewards us with all these recognitions, let them be.

2. Online Media Partnerships - Brands and organizations trust us to help promote their events. They know the community members will be supporting each other to make their online presence a lot more significant. Who needs just one blog when they can have Wazzup Pilipinas plus the other blogs of our members.

3. Brand Ambassadors - On a more intimate level, many are asking for long-term relationships with us to promote them or work with them closely on a regular basis .. which only means ,,, we rock!!!

4. Tri-Media - We've been invited to write for magazines, newspapers and to guest at TV and radio shows, and now have our very own radio show called e-Blog Mo Na Yan! in partnership with Vigattin radio.

5. Corporate Office - We've been blessed with an arrangement to have our very own office - where else but at the center of business - Makati. All of these without any cash-out. We are truly blessed!

6. Growing Membership - Our Facebook group is already almost reaching 700 members and more are still wanting to join. The community is growing at a very fast rate. Our Facebook Likes are more than 3K already, and our blog page views are almost 2M. Wow!

7. Haters, Bashers and Rumor Mongerers- Many of them are all over us since they are probably threatened with our accomplishments. They just won't accept the fact that we are becoming a great formidable force to reckon with so they will just use the "utak-talangka" ways to try to bring us down. They will even invite an angry mob by posting their rants online. Sabi nga nila "Once you get haters, that means you're popular!"

8. International Collaboration -A vast number of international clients are collaborating with us on many projects and even to just mention them in any of our articles.A link to their website will suffice.

9. Seniority - We've been blogging for more than a year only. There are a lot of other bloggers out there that have been around for several years. I was probably still studying in college when blogs came to be, so there are a lot of professional bloggers that existed already when I was still working on school projects. But we have surprised even ourselves with or many accomplishments.

10. Great Web Site Design - We just use a free template. We don't even know how to SEO. We simply want to write and express ourselves. Though we would gladly accept any offer to enhance and improve our blog site.

We really do not know when you can call yourself successful. Some would say it is about page ranks, page views and Alexa ranking, or your association with many contacts and influential friends and partners, or how your campaign made a product so viral and widely-known. We simply gauge it based on the many thanks and praises we get from satisfied clients.

We also believe we have a lot more things to learn about blogging, but people should know that we commit to the highest standards possible. We do not look at other blogs as competitions but as our partners. This is why we invite them to our events and community.

We do not believe in exclusivity. We are open to as much participation as possible from whoever wants to collaborate with us.Wazzup Pilipinas works better when it works as a community.

We will forever be following the same path which brought us to where we are right now.....as the "Top Filipino Community Blog Site" of the Philippines...ang Pambansang Blog ng Pilipinas ay patuloy na magsusumikap upang paglingkuran ang nakararami. As we receive an award on the 23rd of August, we will forever cherish the day just like how we cherished every other award that we previously got.

Our members are continuously growing and already reached a significant number. Our recognitions keep coming and are fully deserved by everyone who worked hard to contribute by becoming our correspondents and sponsors. Our dedication to our work cannot be questioned. We are Wazzup Pilipinas!
