Your favorite night food market leveled up a few floors higher in Makati because you can now find Cucina Andare at the roofdeck of The Link building located just right across The Landmark department store and Makati Shangri-La hotel.
The Anton Diaz and RJ Ledesma line of night food market continues to dominate the industry every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights as it offers very affordable meals available for an average of Php 100 for every meal. true enough, all sorts of viands can be bought at surprisingly very low prices just like at their other night food markets that can be found at other locations.
Where else can you find delectable meals as low as that within the Makati commercial business district? This is definitely your best choice to go and hang-out with your colleagues after working hours, or with your friends and family after a weekend of gimmick or bonding.
We were invited at the first night of opening where a ribbon-cutting was made. Present was Anton Diaz at the ribbon cutting. I saw RJ Ledesma on our way up there at The Link building at sometime around 6:30 pm but he seems to be in a hurry to go somewhere else. There must be an emergency somewhere as he was not present during the ribbon cutting. He also has other businesses to attend to and being the Editor-in-Chief of UNO Magazine makes him a very busy man.
The food choices at Cucina Andare are comparable to the sumptuousness available at top restaurants in quality and taste but definitely so cheap you won't break the bank and remain within your budget enough to treat friends. The dishes may not be fine dining and only self-service but your taste buds will not be disappointed.
The barbecues for Php 70 were top-notch, Teriyaki Chicken and Cajun pork chops for only Php100, and T-Bone steaks for only Php 120, and they all come with rice already. The three for Php 100 sweet treats like brownies and cakes of many flavors are good enough deals your kids will enjoy.
There were around 20 food stalls that night and I am expecting more to probably join them soon as there are plenty of room for more at the roofdeck of The Link.
Add the entertainment from emerging singers and bands that will regularly be present to make your stay truly worthwhile.
There's also some stall who sell products other than food and even one that sells artworks. The postcards above sells for Php 120 each.
They also invited the sultry Dawn Jimenez for a UNO magazine signing making the night more special. I miss attending her magazine signing along with Bangs Garcia so it was a pleasure seeing her there that night. Of course, not to miss on the photo ops with her. Thanks to a blogger friend for taking our picture together, and thank you Dawn for writing "I heart you, Ross" on the magazine cover.
Eating is an integral part of every man's daily life so every food business is bound to succeed if they have the right mix of necessary ingredients listed on their business recipe. Primary requirement is of course to have the taste that will entice people to come back for more, yet it has to be affordable enough to give your patrons good enough reasons to include you on his budget. Now some are attracted by innovative marketing strategies that they are more than willing to shell a little more just to experience and probably post it on social media or their blogs.
Cucina Andare's advantage is that it is backed up by recognized authorities in both food and publicity. With Anton being a respected food blogger, and RJ being a well recognized literary wonder and TV personality, aside from all their other businesses combined, the participating food concessionaires are sure winners.
