Going "Loonie" with the Ultrasound Album

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I'm literally going "loonie" after hearing Loonie's Ultrasound album...oh I mean loony!

Who wouldn't? It was such a notable rap and hip-hop album that you can't help but sing along with it...that is if you can sing or rap as fast as Loonie...but no worries, we could always settle for the chorus or the parts that don't really need much quick tongue-slashing rapping expertise.

Seriously, with rap and hip-hop continuing to be alive and kicking in the Philippines, more and more artists are courageously entering the same field and even producing their own albums in collaboration with friends and partners that have the same interest and belief that OPM will keep on going strong despite the existence of music piracy.

The album, produced by Loonie himself together with Klumcee features the carrier single "Pilosopo" with Smugglaz, now popularly played in many radio stations nationwide and the music videos propagating in many music video channels like MYX and MTV Pinoy.

The Ultrasound album also includes "Tao Lang" with Quest, "Bago ang Lahat" with Ron Henley and Kat Alano, "Tanyag" with Abra and Syke, "Abante" with Kat Agarrado. "Isang Jeep" with HipHop 22, "Ang Bagong Ako" with Greyhoundz, and of course "Ultrasound" with DJ Buddah.

At his debut EP launch at Nation Bar and Grill located at No. 19 Scout Borromeo in Quezon City, Loonie gave us a couple of performances singing two songs from his album. I am planning to upload them as soon as my Internet Service Provider gets to work on my faulty Internet service.

To give you a short background, Loonie was a former contestant of Eat Bulaga's "Rappublic of the Philippines" with his group they call the Stick Figgas along with his best friend Ron Henley and though they didn't won, master rapper Francis Magalona took him under his wings and became part of his crew of "hype men" during gigs and concerts.

He was also crowned as Power Emcee 108 Battled Champion and undisputed Fliptop King last 2004. He is also a YouTube sensation where all of his video releases keep getting a million or more hits.

I've also learned that he is also a resident of Pasig city just like me. I'm not sue if he is still staying in the same house because I'm sure his talent and popularity will soon get him to build his own dream house or perhaps a "condo" soon. When that happens I'm hoping he will still be the same friendly guy that would allow us to visit him at his condo. Don't worry, Loonie. We'll be sure to bring along plenty of food. Lol!

The Ultrasound album marks another milestones in Loonie's career under major label MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines). He said this EP is special for him and is thankful to everyone who supports it.
