Com Arts Soc's Prewreck Kicks Off UPLB Nights for 2nd Sem

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The second semester in UPLB has officially began, and with that, the Thursday night gimmicks are on air again. So to kick off the LB Nights festivities for the brand new sem, the UPLB Communication Arts Society brought to us Prewreck, the first club party at Java Avenue for the said time.

The doors of the said bar along Lopez Avenue in Los BaƱos opened by 9:00 PM, and in just an hour, the place was already packed with guests, mostly UPLB students who wanted to dance the night off.
The program began an hour later, and the hosts immediately called ten people to come up on stage for a game called "Acad Shots".

The ten were evenly grouped into three (one group had four members), and each member of a certain bracket battled against each other in a one question game with a catch. The contestants drank a shot of gin and turned around thrice before answering the question. The winners got prizes courtesy of Unilab and Nicdao's Barbecue.

Another game was played, and seven participants battled it out in an enumeration game, where they also took a gin shot before enumerating all the possible answers.

The third game was a modified version of Trip to Jerusalem, where a brand new set of seven participants had to be quick in getting a shot of gin in order not to get eliminated.

But in the final round, the two remaining contestants were tossed up in a dance battle. The winner, who got the louder applause from the audience, also went home with cool prizes.

In the final game, three men slugged it out in a Junk in the Trunk-like contest called "Wrecking Balls". The one who dropped a ball out of the box first won the game.

After the main program, the stage was opened for everyone to party. To spice up the night, there were designated zones inside Java Avenue for everyone to have a better experience. There were the Prerog, the Dismissed, and the Exempted stations, where the crowd played mini games and won prizes.

The event was staged for a purpose. The amount accumulated due to sales of Prewreck tickets will be allotted for the Limao Elementary School and the victims of the super typhoon Yolanda.

The party ended just before the Friday sunrise with everyone going home happy. Expect more parties coming your way at Java Avenue this semester.
