SCIOLYMPICS 2013 : MIND POWER and BODY WORKS

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Hey, have you heard about a Sciolympics? Well, it's a combination of science and olympics. If you haven't experienced a Sciolympics, well I'm telling you it's really fun!

Pasig City Science High school just held its 2nd Sciolympics last September 30, 2013 with the theme of " MIND POWER and BODY WORKS".

It is the second time for us to seniors to experience this but it's the first time for the lower years. This event was a project of the science department. There were ten teams and each team was assigned with a specific color. Luckily, I belong to the Pinky Team with Mr. Gabby Lamsen as our team leader. ☺

The first part of the event was the presentation of group yells. We have practiced really hard for our yell and when it's our time to perform, the gymnasium was filled with noise because of our bottles. Our entrance was a blast but when we're about to sing our yell, most of us haven't memorize the lyrics that's why our yell turned into a failure. Even though it's like that, we still had fun performing our yell. Yeah' Go Pinky Teaaaaam! :)))

After performing our yells, the long awaited Sciolympics started. There were ten stations and all of them were located on the school premises only. Those stations were facilitated by science teachers and some of our fellow schoolmates that are members of science-related clubs. When we received our clues, we immediately ran and find our designated station but unfortunately we were lost. It took us a lot of time before we have started our first station.

We went to different stations and we were given tasks to do. Some of the tasks that were given were kinda hard that's why we weren't able to accomplish those. The station that I like most is the station were we need to transfer frogs from one pool to another. It was so fun cheering our teammates and some of the facilitators sprinkled water to us which added to our enjoyment. Overall, the event was held successfully. It was a tiring day but still It's so awesome. I know the fact that the Pinky Team didn't win but it's okay because in our heart we're still the winner! :)

  1. Oh yes, it is very hard to do all those stations' tasks but you managed to do the tasks. It isn't about winning, is it? It's about how you enjoy the event. :)
