Michelle Gumabao Poses Artistically Nude For Toby's Sports Store

Wazzup Pilipinas!
"Some people have petty and shallow minds. For me, this photo is beautiful and made the model really beautiful. Really, what's the fuss?" - Michelle Baena CiriaCruz
De La Salle University volleyball player Michelle Gumabao shows off her athleticism in this nude pictorial for Toby's sports store. This photo was grabbed from Michelle Gumabao's Instagram page.

The Lady Spiker and UAAP MVP Awardee appears to be completely naked with just a few splashes of water concealing her body parts in a pictorial taken by photographer Jojit Lorenzo. The pictorial is part of a campaign by Toby's sport store and also features San Mig Coffee player James Yap and Philippine Azkals' Neil Ethridge.

It is surprising that her father, being a pastor, gave Michelle the blessing to push through with the provocative "action shots" portraying her in a volleyball competition.

Though many have gave some negative reactions, there were also many  who reacted positively that the shots were artistically done despite her apparent nudity.

Michelle herself believes that the shots were very beautifully taken, and with her advocacy of  promoting empowerment of  young women, sports play a vital role to promote strength.

In my opinion, when you have it, flaunt it! But also consider if it will be artistically pleasing or already going beyond the boundaries of being decent.

Though there are many ways to promote campaigns other than exposing some skin, the game of volleyball is considered to be an extreme sport that could only be successfully depicted by means of physical prowess emanating from the player's portrayal - added with a sensational sense of style and passion revealing something naughty for the imagination to play on.

  1. I see a fit and beautiful athlete, "fit" and "beautiful" being the rewards of getting into sports. I also see it artistic and DECENT as there are no private parts shown. Also, it's not just "exposing some skin" like the narrow-minded author (who lives in the year 1975, or at least his brain is) sees it. Pagka-kita ko; Oy! OK talaga katawan pag active sa sports! Admired it and then wala na, tapos, move on, no biggie. Ikaw author, what do you see? Kung click bait ang habol mo dapat sa title, hindi sa dulo ng article.

  2. I can't see anything negative about this shot of Gumabao. It was really artistic. Plus if they're worrying about her, she loved it and she didn't post for this for some malicious reasons.

Nudity is considered as an art. She may be nude but the photographers made sure that the outcome would not become a scandal to herself and the school.

  6. This girl is on her way to big bucks. Whores start out like that a lot of the time coincidentally. Pretty loose values but she is a preacher's daughter, and a filipino hooker. Do they all carry diseases?

  8. For me, there's nothing wrong about it. And based on the picture, Gumabao looked physically fit which an athletic should be. Actually, it was nice. Really artistic. :) But since people have different ways of thinking, it depends on how the people going to interpret it.

  9. there's nothing wrong with this shot. it's up to those people to criticize about it. She is an athlete. She's posing for a sport company and not in a sexy magazine. For me it's an art of expressing and visualizing.

  11. It's not about posing nude on pictures but it's always about the sense of why they are doing this. There is nothing wrong about this. It is a form of art. It's good to know that people still express themselves in any way they can.
