It's been all over the news that President Noynoy Aquino's has a new love interest by the name of Mariness “Kim” Ledesma, a CPA-lawyer at the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) which coincidentally is where Mar Roxas heads as Secretary.
We can see very well that the age gap is very obvious but let's just give our President a break. After all, he deserves someone special in his life so he would appreciate the beauty of eventually having a family. It is never too late for him to finally get a first lady.
To stir us away momentarily from the PDAF or pork barrel scam and pause the hatred for a while for everyone's favorite punching bag Janet Lim Napoles, plus the extravagantly lavish lifestyle of her daughter Jeane as seen from her blog and social media accounts.
Kim is said to be only 29 which is only half of the age of PNoy. Age doesn't really matter as long as the couples look beyond the number and focus on their love for each other.
I am betting that we will see more of them in the news because we heard that they are already exclusively dating. PNoy may just be very cautious nowadays and tries to keep his romantic love affairs only at private or exclusive places where he won't be easily spotted by the public... or worst, bloggers and news reporters.
I don't think we should gossip about our own president's lovelife as if he is just another celebrity. The media should treat him with more respect since he is the most powerful man in the country. I believe that the media should focus more on his achievements as a president rather than his paramours so the people would be aware how helpful PNoy is to our country. It is not favorable for our president's lovelife to overshadow his presidency. I think that we should respect his privacy as a person and as a president.
