Cherish Every Moment with Champions

Wazzup Pilipinas!

In the life of a senior student, there will be the point where you will live your high school life to the fullest. Every moment that will happen must be treasured because it only happened once in your life. This is about my beloved school, classmates and friends.

The one of the most awaited program in the school year, the Seniors Aerodance. I know that all the sections really exerted effort to win, but the spirit of our section was the one that dominated above all. We were the one who has been proclaimed as the Champion of the 2013 Aerodance competition. Yes, we are the champion! The IV-Berzelius! Our sacrifices were not wasted. Our adviser was very proud of us and he called our section as the “Home of the Champions”

After the Aerodance, here comes another contest in the Buwan ng Wika. We won in the Balagtasan contest because of our talented classmates. We also won as the “Natatanging Pamilyang” Pilipino because of the creativeness that we did to design our classrooms and also because of our politeness to the judges when they visited our room.

During the Pistang Pinoy, I can say that the 6th batch were really united at the first time, maybe because we felt that this would be the last Pistang Pinoy for us, so we make it memorable for everyone of us. Our boys group called DABARKADS, performed an intermission number in the program for the people to have fun and that performance of ours were very unforgettable because the crowd in the gymnasium goes wild when we started to dance.

After the different contest in the school, this time we will be having an inter-school interpretative dance competition which will be headed by our MAPEH teacher, Ser Gabby. The dance that we will interpret was entitled “Malaya ka na Pilipino”. Our team called Team Araw really exerts effort for the said contest, we take it seriously because this will be for the name of the school. Props were prepared, sounds were prepared, all of us were prepared, and I think we were all ready for the contest which will be conducted at the Tanghalang Pasigueno. There are many schools that joined and everyone performed well. When the judges started to call the winners, I felt hopeless because we were not able to call in the first three places, but when the champion was proclaimed, we were all shocked when the speaker said that “the winner is contestant number 6!” which are our number. We were so glad at that moment, tears from our eyes started to fall because of the happiness that we felt. I’m very thankful to God that time because without him, we are nothing. And of course for our very own Ser Gabby and the rest of the Team Araw.

But that was not ended their, Ser Gabby joined us again to a dance sports competition. This was not easy for us because we have limited knowledge on such dances as chacha, rumba, jive, walts, tango, etc. We asked for help of Tito Ed, a great friend of us. We only have two days practices because of the limited time also. We did our best to master the steps, and luckily we were able to win in all aspects, not gold but silver and bronze. But that was all right for the beginners like us. Sir Gabby was very proud to us again. And we were very thankful to him because of his trust to us, the Team Araw.
