2nd Digital Influencers Marketing Summit : An Awesome Gathering of Digital Influencers and Winners

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The Digital Influencers Marketing Summit 2013 was an awesome gathering of digital influencers and social media experts sharing their profound knowledge and vast experience to a huge crowd all eager to be the best in their chosen profession.

It was even bigger and better than the previous summit. I was amazed at the turn-out of attendees and never imagined it will still be that big despite the fact that another social media event, The Social Good Summit organized by Maria Ressa's Rappler, was happening the very same day.

I attended the first Digital Influencers Marketing Summit last year, as well as the Social Good Summit, and another one - the Laguna Blogging Summit (scheduled sometime November this year). All of them have scheduled a second run.

It was unfortunate that the Social Good Summit was held at the same time as the Digital Influencers Marketing Summit because I wanted to attend both events. I attended all those events last year and learned a lot from the speakers that were all very popular and inspirational.

However, I needed to make a choice. Choose only one because I couldn't possibly attend both events.

Since the event at the Digital Influencers Marketing Summit has a special part that will recognize the Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs of 2013 as voted by fellow bloggers, I obviously picked Miss Janette Toral's event rather than Maria Ressa's.

I was so excited that my Wazzup Pilipinas blog was to be recognized as one of the Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs of 2013....and a few of my fellow blogger were also there cheering us.

Majority of the attendees were all strangers for me. It is great to know that there is a huge number of individuals and companies that are investing on making a more prominent and effective online presence. Some of them even approached us in our table when they realized we were bloggers....and a few also approached me after being recognized as the owner of one of the Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs of 2013.

However, I was also monitoring some of the live updates being shared and tweeted by attendees of the Social Good Summit and mostly from feeds of my Facebook and Twitter friends. I must confess that my attention was divided but it was sort of necessary for me.

As advertised, the 2nd Digital Influencers Marketing Summit 2013 aims to empower entrepreneurs, marketers, and advertisers with insights on working with influencers and brand advocates. It is also an ideal conference for those who are aspiring to become influencers and recognized brand advocates.

I believe everyone wants to be able to effectively reach out to their potential clients and customers, and how to sustain and keep the engagement. Everyone wants to be able to "connect" and "maintain" a relationship with their intended audience.

The various speakers from different fields of expertise were all taking advantage of the power of social media and the Internet. They were able to impart many informative and inspirational ideas to the summit attendees. It is now up to the attendees on how much knowledge they were able to retain and be able to apply in their everyday work and activities.

I still believe that everyone can come up with their own creative, unique and original methods on how to become equally successful. I've attended a lot of summits, seminars, conferences, and similar events graced by many motivational speakers and successful entrepreneurs who have already made a name for themselves, and one thing I've realized is that there is no single way towards your dreams. What matters most is the ability to still be able to wake up and continue living a life full of enthusiasm after all the horrifying nightmares that you've experienced.

I have many great plans, but some of them doesn't normally goes well as expected due to many reasons beyond my control. However, I always try to convince myself that if I continue to pursue my goals with hard work and great patience and perseverance, I will eventually reap a bountiful harvest (of which I am beginning to see and feel already).

If all doesn't go well as planned, at least I could proudly say to myself that I did the best that I can possibly can. But I am all hoping for the best not only for me but for the many people who supported me and Wazzup Pilipinas despite negative factors like lack of funding and resources, peer pressure and controversial issues designed to obviously bring our spirits down.

No one can bring a good man down especially if he is destined to be great!

Congrats to all the organizers of the 2nd Digital Influencers Marketing Summit especially to Miss Janette Toral.

Congrats to my fellow bloggers whose blogs also won as one of the Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs of 2013.
