Royal Postal Heritage Tour


Wazzup Pilipinas!

Filipinas Stamp Collectors’ Club in cooperation with Philpost, Museo ng Maynila , Intramuros Administration, National Press Club , Winners Foundation , Department of Education , GSIS cordially invites everyone to an afternoon of fun ,travel , unravel stories ,nature tripping, mysteries and ghost sightings behind some of the city’s most historical buildings, wilderness areas and sites! Photography is is allowed with permit !

The FREE tour is scheduled on September 15, 2013,third Sunday of the month. This will also coincide the club’s monthly meeting . To those who are interested in coming to the tour, maximum number of participants ( 30 ) even before the schedule Deadline which is on September 12, 2013 registration is a must for these FREE Guided tour.

Facebook and Yahoo group event page registrants must try to type confirmed in their status otherwise they are not considered registered.


Next tour schedule will be held on October 20, 2013 ( tentative but the public can book for a slot )

Itinerary : Arroceros Forest Park, Aduana, Puerta Isabel 2 Gate and Monument, Plaza Mexico, Plaza Roma, Manila Cathedral, Postal Museum and Library, Liwasang Bonifacio, Metropolitan theater, National Press Club grounds . Bahay Tsinoy ( optional) with pay Php 100.00 per head. Calvo Building Photography museum ( optional) Php 30.00 per head.



Reminder: Simple Guidelines during the Postal Heritage Tour:


1.) Pre-registration is highly encourage before joining the tour, even if this is a FREE guided tour , some places will require name/s, address and contact information of the participants before they can enter their premises. ( security protocol )

2.) Avoid throwing pieces of candy wrappers , empty plastic bottles and littering within Philpost, Metropolitan theater and other places ( This was the feed back given to us by the security personnel ) that empty plastic bottles were left on top of the Metropolitan theater.

3.) No smoking within Post Office premises, Metropolitan theater premises and other places except public areas.

4.) Photography is allowed for any personal purposes ( portfolio ) Facebook , blogs, newspaper, magazines and other social networking sites . However selling pictures for commercial purposes and profiting from pictures taken within the premises like Philpost , Metropolitan theater , National Press Club etc... is highly discourage.

5.) Taking pictures of government infrastructure is allowed , However management discourage them to post them for commercial purposes ( threat to national security is cited) .

6.) Any video taping / film tapping by any participant within the premises is highly discourage , a separate permit will be needed ( secured) before any videos can be taken.

7.) Pre-wedding and other photo sessions within Philpost premises , Metropolitan theater not related to the postal heritage tour must require permission from the organizers and the management . Thanks


Note: It depend on the participants on how fast or slow the tour will last, some itinerary may not be covered .

Although this is a FREE Tour any donation to the club's various out- reach projects are highly "WELCOME"
