Uniqlo Launches New Concept UT POP-UP! T-Shirt Shops

Wazzup Pilipinas!

UT POP-UP! Manila will be launched on Thursday, April 25 at Ayala Triangle in Makati City, and will last until April 26, Friday.

Filipinos can expect the same UT experience at other UT POP-UP locations worldwide (like the largest ever UT store in Tokyo Japan that was held last March 28 to April 7 at the Shibuya Station, Tokyo's largest train station averaging 2.4 million passengers daily on weekdays).

A huge UT sign is set-up at the center of Ayala where one can see the various UT designs as well as other culture and arts display.

A UT camera will be set-up where everyone will be welcomed to pose for a photo that will be displayed at its large monitors onsite and can be seen globally.

The UT camera is a new smartphone video app that turns one second personal looped video portraits into animation. Users can download the video app on their smartphones to convert into video. The footage can then be uploaded to the official UT website ut.uniqlo.com for those sporting UT apparel, and linked to Facebook, Twitter and more for all users.

There will be two iPhones setup at the UT POP-UP! T-Shirt Shops in Ayala Triangle that customers can use to upload their video portraits.

Those who wish to purchase new UT designs at a huge discount of P200 will be available for customers.

The event will feature the UT Guerilla event in which there will be displays of the different t-shirt artworks of various students.

Also, the event will be a showcase of the design of one of the finalist of the UT Grand Prix global T-shirt design competition. Karlo Victoriano is truly a Pinoy pride since his design was one of the chosen among the thousands of international entries.

I will be there on April 25 and 26 to witness a somehow historical event at the Ayala Triangle of Makati. I'm sure this is just a start of  similar projects by Uniqlo where everyone can be proud of the great shirts that they offer. Congrats Uniqlo and more power!
