Doggie's Mexican Chow Express : Pinoy-Friendly Mexican Food Treats That's Yummylicious!

Wazzup Pilipinas!

If you were not yet tempted in taking a bite after seeing the yummylicious treat above, then get ready to resist more temptations as we bring you more sumptuous Pinoy-friendly Mexican food treats that will surely have you running to Doggie's Mexican Chow Express right now.

The proprietors reinvented Mexican food by fusing it with the Filipino taste. Selected ingredients were added to give their food a unique touch that most Filipinos out there will surely love.

Bite into some delicious yet affordable Mexican treats where the Doggie barks and wiggles her tail.

Doggie's Mexican Chow Express is a simple food cart offering tacos, burittos, quesadillas and a lot more....surprisingly, even champurrados! It is located at the Burgundy Tower in Gil Puyat Avenue, Makati city.....but, if all goes well, they might move to a new location soon.

The owners have already joined several food bazaars, like the Cucina Andare, in the past so they may be familiar to you already.

Their mascot is "Doggie", born out of love for the owner's stuff dog toy which she considers her "security blanket".

The original stuff toy does not wear a "sombrero" or a Mexican hat but the owners are thinking of having a customized one for their "pet" soon.

Their food cart may not be that extravagant in looks, and they may be housed in a not-so-elegant location, but their food makes up for the lack of a stunning dining area.

With the right marketing (packaging, branding, food preparation, etc), their food offerings may spell SUCCESS soon.

The chicken and steak Quesadillas are like half-sized soft tacos filled with ingredients that were really "Filipinized" to suit the taste of Filipinos.

The Burritos (Chicken or Steak) have also been transformed into the Pinoy version. What you see in the photo above are burritos cut in half - they're so filling that you might not be able to finish one whole piece, unless you're really hungry.

Soft Tacos with an extra ingredient of two kinds of fruits for its Chicken and Steak offerings made the dish friendlier in taste. I really love anything with mangoes, especially when its properly ripe and sweet.

Here's a video of how the Soft Tacos are prepared:

A plateful of colorful Nachos topped with Nacho cheese, salsa and ground beef will definitely brighten your day.

The different colors of Nacho chips do not indicate different flavors, they're just there to make it more appealing.

Potato Wedges with ground beef, Nacho cheese and salsa will surely perk up your day. There's also a regular serving that comes with our all-time favorite ketchup.

Ground beef, lettuce, salsa, cheese, corn and their special sour cream sauce makes up the Crunchy Tacos.....Yummmmy...I could even see the appetizing sour cream sauce dripping at the corners, and once you've bite it.

The Champurrado, with the addition of not just Milk, but also Cinnamon and Vanilla, made the traditional an exceptional dish.

The Mini-Changas are excellent Fried Burritos or Chimichangas. The corn bits really made a distinct difference in taste.

You've never seen anything both cute and tasty filled with cheesy sour-cream, just be careful to remember they're still not bite-size....hehehe. Don't dare putting one of these mini fried tacos all in your mouth at once.

Another warning is that Doggie's Mexican Chow Express still doesn't have their own line of drinks so be sure to order first from a nearby food cart so you'll have some "panulak".

"Gulaman", colas, ice teas and juices all match perfectly with these Mexican delights so there's really no problem what drinks you order. But hopefully soon the young entrepreneurs of Doggie's Mexican Chow Express will add some drinks at their food cart.

The adorable couple, that partnered in both business and love affair, happily welcomed our group to try out their own concoctions of Mexican and Pinoy fusion delicacies. We are sort of guaranteed that a whole lot of loving was put into their dishes as the two will surely be honest and frank with their criticisms thus making them an ideal partnership.

I am sure that there will be plenty more great ideas behind the kitchen of Doggie's Mexican Chow Express soon.
