Valentines Season Treats at Bistecca

Wazzup Pilipinas !

It was definitely the best post-Valentine date I had.

To dine in a luxurious restaurant like Bistecca with my loved ones. Yes! Its a plural! I have more than just one love - my wife and my three kids.

Who says Valentines are only for couples? Cupid still shot an arrow to our hearts and we remain strongly bonded as one big happy family.

A big happy family deserves a big tasty and juicy steak. Not just one but two! Since the Bistecca steak cuts can serve between two to three people, two steaks were ideal for our group of five. My kids may be at their tender age of 9, 13, and 14 but they do eat plenty- and Wow! The steaks at Bistecca never failed to satisfy our appetite.

Bistecca had a Valentine menu that we had to try out for ourselves. It consists of salads or soups (Classic Caesar salad, Hearty Red Beet Soup with Pork Dumplings or the Mixed Seasonal Greens with Grilled Melons and Prociutto de Parma in Strawberry Dressing) as appetizers, a choice of prawns (King Prawn Cocktail), oysters (Oysters Your Way) or Warm Seafood Bruschetta as starters, the steaks as the main dish, and some French Macarons for dessert.

Locate at the Joya building right beside the Rockwell Powerplant Mall. It's not conveniently located inside the mall but its the best place to go when you want the best steaks within the area. The place is very busy during dinner time so better call for reservations if you plan to go there in groups.

The Bistecca Premium Beef Valentines menu during the Valentines season was well accepted. Chef Migs was telling us how crowded the place were during Valentines night.

The night became not only a sharing of steaks among groups of people, but also a sharing of tables to accommodate the huge crowd that occupied the store during Valentines night.

Some complimentary bread and butter to start the dining experience.

I enjoyed the Mixed Seasonal Greens with Grilled Melons and Prociutto de Parma in Strawberry Dressing better than the traditional Caesar Salad below.

The Caesar Salad was good but not as good as the salad with Strawberry Dressing.

The King Prawn Cocktail with the dipping sauce in the center of the cocktail glass can also be my favorite if only there was more of it. The prawn were superb when dipped in the special sauce that came with it.

Oysters Your Way is a very highly recommended dish. You should not miss ordering this. Believe me, it's the best oyster dish I've tasted so far.

Two kinds of steaks were served to us: The 500 g Wet-aged Premium Rib eye as seen above and the 500 g Certified Angus Beef T-Bone. Both were equally heavy weights in both taste and appearance. A huge slab of meat just waiting for us to devour it. Actually, we failed to finish every piece of sliced meat as we were all full. My kids were all amazed on how huge the steaks were. It was man versus food - and obviously the food won as we were overwhelmed tremendously!

The T-Bone steak also had some servings of mashed potatoes, cauliflower, carrots and broccoli

A couple of oils and three kinds of salt to add some additional flavor to the steaks.

Heart-shaped macarons for dessert - but we had to take these beauties home as take-out because we  were all indeed full and could no longer take in anymore no matter how appetizing they are.

All time favorite ice tea drinks for everyone!
