What to do if you get sick while abroad

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

When we prepare for a trip overseas, we are usually excited about a lot of little things, like where we will go to eat, the new places we will see and the different culture we’ll get to immerse ourselves in. Because we think about a holiday as a positive thing, and even business trips or a hiatus abroad have an exciting newness about them, we don’t think much about what will happen if we fall ill.

There’s no doubt about it, it can happen - in fact, it’s probably more likely you’ll fall ill in another country than at home, purely because you’re less likely to have built up a tolerance to specific germs and pathogens you might come into contact with. So it is essential to prepare for any health emergency, or even a health mishap, that you might encounter when you travel.

Read up about the specific provisions in the place you’re visiting

We can lay down a whole list of things you can do and people you can contact when you’re in another country, but there are close to two hundred “other countries” you could be going to, and each has its own healthcare systems, as well as dos and don’ts that you should be ready for. So the first key point is to know what those are. Your first response to feeling feverish in Bangkok may be different to what you do when you’re in Prague, and there’s no one-size-fits-all solution anyone can give you.

Get travel-specific health insurance

Among every rough guide to world travel, and all the information on being a digital nomad you might read, the importance of being as insured as you can be is paramount. Whether that may be travel insurance with a health component, or an addition to your existing basic health insurance, it’s important. You may be going somewhere that has universal healthcare that covers tourists - great, but you might not be near a hospital that’s covered by that when you have a health issue (and you may not be covered by law in that country). It’s better to have health insurance and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Know what medication you can bring into the country - and how to get more

It’s generally considered advisable to have a first-aid kit in your car when you’re going somewhere a few hundred miles from your home, so it’s definitely a good idea to be at least as prepared when you’re further away. Countries do have restrictions on what can be brought in, though, so find out what these are. Ideally you’ll have some over-the-counter pain medication, cold and flu treatments and some dressings as a minimum, while anti-diarrheal capsules and antihistamines are also a good idea.

You should also ensure that you are able to bring any prescription medication that you are on, along with a doctor’s note to confirm it’s for your use. To ensure you’re as covered as you can be, it’s also worth finding out how you would get hold of replacement medication in your destination country should that be necessary.

Filipino freelancers with overseas clients on the rise - Payoneer, GCash study

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

How gig economy remains strong in the Philippines despite uncertainties

Financial services company Payoneer and mobile wallet app GCash recently released The Philippines Freelance Market 2022 Report, a survey report on the current state of the gig economy in the Philippines. The white paper shows that many Filipinos are thriving as freelancers, benefitting from growing overseas freelancing opportunities.

Payoneer and GCash conducted a survey on freelancing trends and behaviors in the Philippines. With 5,560 GCash users across the country as respondents. Sharing the key findings, the report revealed that freelancers who work with local and overseas clients earn 57% more per hour than those who work with just local clients.

Why the gig economy in the Philippines flourishes

In Payoneer’s Global Gig Economy Index 2019, the Philippines landed in sixth place as the fastest-growing market in the world, with a 35% growth in freelance earnings. At the onset of the pandemic, more Filipinos turned to freelancing as a way to generate income despite mobility restrictions. This accelerated the gig economy trend in the country and increased the ranks of Filipino freelancers in 2020-21.

Despite the unpredictability of a steady income stream and job stability, Filipino freelancers continue to take advantage of the benefits of freelancing such as job flexibility, workload control, and greater earning potential from multiple income streams. Given the many benefits of freelancing, many Filipinos now prefer this flexible livelihood option that suits their lifestyles better than traditional employment.

With the government promoting entrepreneurship and digital innovation, freelancers in the Philippines are driven to find work opportunities through online marketplaces and apps. Digital platforms have made it easier for Filipino freelancers to find clients who need services such as photography, blogging/vlogging, graphic design, writing, videography, as well as architecture and engineering.

Overseas freelance opportunities abound

While most freelancers still source their jobs in the Philippines, the survey suggests that more and more Filipino freelancers are in demand across countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates. GCash and Payoneer’s market report mentioned that, according to Creative Economy Council of the Philippines President Paolo Mercado, up to 1.5 million Filipinos are registered on international online platforms for freelancing services.

“As Filipinos are renowned for their creativity, work ethic, and customer service-orientation, it is not surprising that more and more international businesses are willing to pay for Filipino talent. This should motivate more freelancers in the Philippines to take their freelancing journey to the global stage and benefit from higher earning potential,” said Miguel Warren, Vice President of Payoneer for South East Asia.

Importance of timely and secure payment

One thing that holds back Filipino freelancers from pursuing overseas clients is the challenge of securing timely payments from foreign clients. Delayed or denied payments can negatively affect freelancers’ finances. To ensure timely and secure payments, freelancers need a reliable payment platform that connects them to clients from anywhere in the world. With a payment platform, freelancers can conveniently request payment from both local and international clients.

According to the survey, freelancers consider security and accessibility when selecting payment platforms. They also choose payment platforms based on other factors like transaction fees, the convenience of transferring to bank accounts, fast crediting, exchange rates, and live technical support.

Supporting Filipino freelancers in going global

Recognizing freelancers’ need for secure and timely payments, Payoneer simplifies payment for cross-border and manages the complexities of moving money through its easy-to-navigate, secure, and affordable payment platform.

As many freelancers mainly use GCash to receive payments from local clients and Payoneer for receiving overseas payments with higher rates, Payoneer has partnered with GCash to provide freelancers a more seamless and convenient payment experience.

By signing up and linking a Payoneer account via GCash, users can receive foreign currency overseas with Payoneer and withdraw the funds locally in PHP instantly for free via the GCash app. This enables freelancers to receive payments from global clients in foreign currencies like USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, and more.

“With the feature that allows users to link their Payoneer and GCash accounts, we hope to encourage more freelancers to provide their services to international clients. Together with GCash, we hope to do something more in the future to help our Filipino freelancers succeed in the global economy, ” added Warren.

How VoIP Numbers from Hottelecom.biz Can Expand Your Reach Infinitely

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Imagine you have the ability to communicate with anyone, wherever in the globe. We are not referring to your connection to the internet. This technology may be still very significant in today's world, but the time for it to be in the spotlight has long since passed.

On the other hand, the technologies that have been made feasible by the internet are quickly becoming the norm. The virtual number is just one example of these kinds of technologies. Continue reading if you wish to gain an in-depth understanding of this brand-new technology and how it can be of assistance to you.

An overview of virtual private network (VoIP) numbers and how they function

You are not the only one who is struggling to understand how anything like this could even be possible. But keep in mind that a lot of the technologies that exist now are things that we couldn't have even conceived about a few decades ago.

The only thing you need to keep in mind is that, in many respects, it is essentially the same as your regular phone number. But you don't get it from your phone service provider. Instead, you obtain it through the use of the internet.

There are two different approaches that you can take to get the most out of your VoIP number:

1. Put it to use using the software that has been approved by your service provider.

In most cases, you can use this software with both your smartphone and your tablet computer. As long as it satisfies the requirements for its use, you shouldn't have any problems with it.

If you choose a reliable provider, the software they provide will have a high degree of user-friendliness, making it simple for you to make adjustments to the settings as you see fit and have access to everything that is part of the package that you are paying for.

When using virtual phone numbers, the fee that you pay does not merely cover the cost of the actual phone number. You are not only paying for the level of service that you receive but also for the support that is required to provide that level of service.

2. TRY AN IP PHONE NUMBER

You might consider it to be your virtual phone. It is a phone that connects to the internet rather than to traditional phone lines but performs precisely the same as a traditional phone.

Do you wish to purchase phone numbers on the internet? It couldn't be simpler!

You shouldn't have any trouble obtaining the phone number that you want to utilize with your VoIP service, regardless of the purpose that you have in mind for using the number.

Purchasing virtual phone numbers from Hottelecom.biz can be done in the following manner:

1. CHOOSE THE TYPE OF NUMBER

You will have the option of selecting a voice call, fax, SMS, or one-time use SMS number. You only need to click on the options that are relevant to you.

After that, choose the nation that you want to visit. And once you've done that, you'll be presented with a list of city area codes from which you can make your option.

2. CHOOSE THE ACTUAL NUMBER

After completing the first step, you will be presented with a list of the available numbers to choose from. You can send them an email to inquire about availability and specific pricing for a vanity telephone number if you are seeking one.

At this point, you will also be able to see how much the one-time activation fee, as well as the ongoing monthly subscription to the number, will cost.

You will also be required to specify how you intend to make use of the given number. In this regard, you have the option of using SIP, the phone, or Telegram. Choose the relevant one, and then supply the additional information in the text box that is near to it.

3. Click the "ADD TO CART" button, and then continue with the payment

You will be able to calculate how much you are required to pay and may even be eligible for discounts if you pay the whole amount up in advance for multiple months. After you have added the number to the shopping basket, you will be prompted to either log in to your existing account or establish a new account if you do not already have one.

If you have, though, the only thing left for you to do is pay.

What makes Hottelecom.biz the superior option for purchasing a virtual phone number?

1. TRANSPARENT PRICING

Many businesses will tell you how much money they can help you save by using this technology; however, many of these businesses are not particularly forthright about the prices that they charge. Hottelecom.biz makes it a priority to provide you with all of the information right away to ensure that there are no unanticipated costs down the road.

2. FANTASTIC COMMENTS FROM CUSTOMERS

The raving reviews that they consistently receive from satisfied patrons are evidence that the company is doing everything it can to offer the greatest possible customer service. Since they first opened their doors, they have worked hard to earn the loyalty of a large number of loyal customers over the years.

3. FREE SIP ACCOUNT

You are granted the opportunity to request your very own SIP account at no additional cost with every purchase. They will gladly offer you one if you simply ask for it; all you have to do is make the request.

You're looking for the most unusual virtual numbers, aren't you? Hottelecom.biz is your portal to accessibility that is virtually endless!

It may seem that a VoIP phone number in the United States or Canada is easy to come by, but this is only because there is a significant demand for numbers of this kind. But what about people who do not have a demand of such magnitude?

Conclusion

Hottelecom.biz is the only thing you'll need for that. They are working hard to meet the demand for every variety of numbers that is now being demanded by the market today. The reason for this is to achieve their goal of making every part of the world more accessible, whether online or offline.

Therefore, Hottelecom.biz is more than simply a simple service. They are an active participant in the development of a world without boundaries and with an infinite number of possibilities. Always keep in mind that Hottelecom.biz has got your back no matter what number you need, no matter how uncommon it is or how popular it is.

Japan-affiliated Telco, InfiniVAN, Inc., takes part in Commencement of Cable Laying Phase of Philippines’ Longest Submarine Fiber Optic Cable Network

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

InfiniVAN, Inc., a subsidiary of Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed IPS, Inc. (TSE: . 4390) and bulk bandwidth supplier to the largest Philippine internet service providers (ISPs), along with Eastern Communications and Globe, took center stage in the commencement ceremony of the cable laying phase of Philippine Domestic Submarine Cable Network (PDSCN) held on July 14, 2022, in Subic, Zambales.

With 20+ Tbps of lit capacity in multiple international submarine cable systems, InfiniVAN would now be in a position to distribute internet connectivity to its wholesale, enterprise and residential customers throughout the Philippine archipelago by spearheading the laying of 2,500+ kilometers of fiber optic cables connecting Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The joint-build partners have decided to utilize cables manufactured by global fiber optic cable manufacturer - Nexans. It will be the Philippines' longest submarine cable network so far.

This project goes hand-in-hand with Infinivan's backbone Fiber Optic Network Infrastructure push beyond the National Capital Region, where it started its network buildout after obtaining its congressional telco franchise in July 2016.

Having been granted authority by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to provide broadband services nationwide, Infinivan is now mainly focused on delivering bulk bandwidth for retail distribution by the largest cable TV operators in the country, whose main business has now shifted from being content distributors to that of being internet service providers (ISPs). InfiniVAN’s parent, IPS, Inc., holds a Type I telecommunications carrier license in Japan.

This $150-million joint-build project of the three telcos targets to enhance the coverage and reliability of broadband connections, both fixed and mobile, throughout the country.

InfiniVAN’s Chief Technology Officer Alberto “Abet” Espedido conveyed his gratitude and appreciation to the partners during the said ceremony. “I’d like to thank everyone for their perseverance, professionalism, experience, and patience throughout the whole process of getting us to this milestone, notwithstanding all the challenges that we had to face. It is indeed gratifying to see “coopetition” making these endeavors possible”. A portion of the project called the “Express Route” is set to be ready for service by the end of this year. The rest of the segments are set to be completed and usable by April 2023.

How can businesses reduce their customer churn rate?

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Customer churn is a term used to describe when customers stop using a company's products or services. It can be caused by many factors, such as dissatisfaction with the product or service, switching to a competitor's product, or simply moving on from their current job. In this article, we will explore the importance of employee engagement, why it is important, and how you can achieve your goals using sourcing and procurement software. So without any further ado, let’s get started;

Businesses have tried different tactics in order to reduce customer churn rates. One common tactic is increasing the value that they provide their customers. This can be done by improving their products and services, creating an engaging user experience, and providing incentives for loyal customers.

Companies also try to reduce customer churn by streamlining processes and communicating clearly with customers about what they need to succeed with their business goals.

What are the Most Common Causes of Customer Churn?

Customer churn is a problem for businesses. It can cause a decline in revenue, customer acquisition cost, and customer lifetime value. The most common causes of customer churn are:

● Poor product quality

● Lack of value proposition

● Poor service levels

● Unclear product features

● Lack of personalization

Why is Employee Engagement Important to Businesses?

Employee Engagement is a topic that many companies are starting to focus on. It can be difficult for companies to find the right balance between work and life.

Employees who are engaged in their work have higher productivity levels and higher retention rates. Companies that implement engagement-focused strategies have found success in their business.

How Does Internal Revenue Service define a "Churned Consumer"?

A churned consumer is a customer who has had their account with a company terminated and then re-established. This can happen when the company terminates the customer's account due to not meeting certain criteria, such as not paying their bill. A churned customer is someone who has had their account with a company terminated and then re-established. This can happen when the company terminates the customer's account due to not meeting certain criteria, such as not paying their bill.
How do we increase retention rates with digital marketing strategies?

Digital marketing strategies are not always effective in a company's quest to increase retention rates. In order to increase retention rates, companies should focus on the following key areas:

● Providing clear and concise content that is relevant to the target audience

● Providing digital marketing tools such as analytics, CRM, and email marketing

● Increasing digital marketing expertise within the company

Digital marketing strategies are important for companies to succeed in the digital era. Therefore, companies should focus on a content marketing strategy to increase engagement and retention rates. This is because content marketing is a long-term investment that helps build customer trust and credibility.

Content marketers should also focus on increasing their reach by using social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to gain more exposure. These platforms have large audiences that can be tapped into for maximum exposure to the company’s brand or product.
