Duterte gives green light for casinos in Boracay

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Duterte has given his go-signal allowing the operation of a casino in Boracay.

Operation shall follow restrictions such as the observance of safety & health protocols vs. COVID-19 & safeguards to keep minors out.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque has affirmed that President Duterte’s decision to allow casino operations on the world-famous Boracay island in Aklan was indeed caused by the government’s need for additional funds.

“This latest presidential pronouncement is part of the revenue-generating efforts of the government to augment funds for COVID-19 response.”

Oh no! Why? After closing Bora for months to clean it up, you'll open a casino that will bring in hordes of many and all kinds of pollutants. It was an environmentally sustainable paradise after it re- opened!

Augment funds for COVID-19 response??? Buwisit!

So gusto niya gawing drug at gambling capital of the world ang Pilipinas. Lumabas din ang totoo.

Have the Boracay residents given their okay to a casino project? If so, it will entail enormous will power from the local government, volunteers from the community and businesses to organize and police Boracay against all types of man-made waste leading to pollution.

Former Kalibo Mayor Johnny Dayang says a number of residents of Aklan oppose the proposed expansion of casino operations in Boracay.

Is this how they think right now, Pasugalan imbis na tulong at mga plano on how we can alleviate the lives of many poor Filipinos!?

Lemme guess . Pogo ulit ba to tapos Chinese ulit?

In 2018, Duterte ordered all casinos in Boracay to cease operations. No casinos operate in Boracay Island after Pagcor revoked the franchises of casino operators there in 2018.

He cleaned up Boracay as he claims, but then again he’s about to create a bigger mess. CASINO VULTURES TO SWARM BORACAY! Trying to beautify Boracay was one thing but setting up casinos in land reformed-areas there is ridiculous! Boracay’s ruination is forthcoming!

That was the plan all along. We were taken for a ride - Boracay rehab my foot.! A friend with benefits is again probably involved here.

The 6-month closure of Boracay purportedly for "envi rehab" in 2018, was a smokescreen in making the island as the elite gambling hub resort in the country.

If you talk to the locals, they already know that a Chinese tycoon bought a huge plot of land somewhere in the island. The "cleaning" is part of the plan inorder to start building these casinos.

Cleaned Boracay to lay down the red carpet for a Chinese consortium to build a casino.

And where will the income be coming from? It’s going to be years until any of is operational? Monster application fees?

Senator Nancy Binay believed that allowing casinos in Boracay will be in contrast with the government’s efforts of rehabilitating the island. She also doubted that casinos would significantly contribute to the Philippines’ revenues.

There wouldn't be any need for "additional funds" if government departments spent the funds that they had properly and honestly.

I really don't see a valid reason why there should be a casino in Boracay. Unless they want to have a surge of COVID-19 cases on the island.

Hmm, opening a casino during a pandemic where the gathering of a group of people in enclosed, probably air conditioned, areas can have fatal results.

The priority of this government is beyond insane. Giving a go signal for a casino to run in Boracay in the middle of the highest number of covid cases is unbelievable!

If you're still blinded until now, you need divine intervention already! Lord help the Philippines!

CHED, UniFAST, FDCP launch short film lab and filmmaking workshop for RA 10931 beneficiaries

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST), and Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) launched two (2) film projects for students to participate in film labs and vlog webinars that will hone and develop their skills in film production.

In a virtual press launch, the short film lab project dubbed as CineIskool Short Film Lab and Festival and the #MyKwentongUniFAST webinar series were presented to the members of the media led by CHED and UniFAST Board Chairman Popoy De Vera and FDCP Chairperson Mary Liza Diño.

The CineIskool Short Film Lab and Festival is open to student-beneficiaries of the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act or Republic Act 10931.

Ten (10) projects will be chosen from the submitted entries coming from  student beneficiaries and will be given a grant of P125,000.00 each to produce a five-minute short film showcasing stories on the importance and benefits of free tertiary education.

A film festival will also be held to officially recognize the best short films from the 10 film grants.

The #MyKwentongUniFAST project will highlight the sharing of experiences and stories of RA 10931 beneficiaries through a series of webinars that would teach them how to create and edit digital content, including workshops on media creation like vlogging.

Digital content experts and well-known vloggers are to be tapped to give lectures to selected participants nationwide.

"With our partnership today with FDCP and with the launching of these two projects, we will provide a formal platform so that our beneficiaries can be trained by experts and well-known professionals in the industry to produce either a short film or vlogs. They can manifest their success stories how these government programs of free education changed their lives and their community." De Vera said.

The initial talks on the said projects started in 2019 but plans were halted when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country and restrictions were imposed on holding face-to-face film labs and workshops.

UniFAST OIC Executive Director Ryan Estevez said that aside from promoting the programs of RA 10931 to the public,  this is also an opportunity to hone the skills and talents of new and budding filmmakers in the country.

"As we take advantage of the various online formats and platforms that the youth can use to tell their stories, we hope that #MyKwentongUniFAST and CineIskool will help us discover a new generation of filmmakers with the talent and voices that we can mold and empower. We thank CHED and UniFAST for this partnership and look forward to giving our young filmmakers the tools and training sessions that can help them produce their tales and experiences of free higher education," said Chairperson Diño.

FDCP is the national film agency responsible for film policies and programs to ensure the economic, cultural and educational development of the Philippine film industry.

The agency also leads the film industry’s participation in domestic and foreign film markets, and local and international film festivals, and is tasked to preserve and protect films as part of the country’s national cultural heritage.

The Comparison Between BigCommerce vs WooCommerce – Which One is Better?

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Whether you are starting a small business or you already have a well-built business, you may feel the need to have an online store for selling your product. Therefore, you will need an eCommerce platform for building your online store.

Two Big Ecommerce Platforms

Talking about eCommerce platforms, the two leading platforms in the eCommerce market may confuse your mind, and you may feel indecisive about the platform you need to choose. Bigcommerce and Woocommerce are those two leading platforms.

They may sound familiar, but they have many differences. In this article, I will define and give descriptions regarding the differences between these two eCommerce platforms.

What Are Bigcommerce Woocommerce?

Bigcommerce, an online website building platform, has a record of helping 100000 business owners build their online business stores. Woocommers, an eCommerce platform for WordPress, has reached 82 million milestones in downloading. Woocommerce helps existing websites to sell products.

Random Suggestion

If you are struggling, looking for the exact place you left off your browsing, use ChromeContinue. You can also use post performance Hootsuite to check how your products are performing on eCommerce platforms.

Difference Between Bigcommerce And Woocommerce

Bigcommerce

Now that you know what Bigcommerce and Woocommerce are, you need to know the differences between these two and which one will work best for you.

Bigcommerce builds websites for you. Let me explain further; the purpose of an eCommerce platform is to help you develop your online business store. But there is more; Bigcommerce helps you manage your website, boost sales and make your online business successful.

Bigcommerce gives you all the handy tools and instruction manuals so that you have no trouble setting up your online store and getting your business started and running.

Woocommerce

Unlike Bigcommerce, Woocommerce is not a website builder. Instead, it is a plugin designed for Wordp-dress by the same company that created WordPress. Was that complicated? Allow me to simplify; Woocommerce is an add-on that you have to integrate into your normal website to turn into an online business store.

Which One Is Best For You?

With the definitions and differences in mind, you can choose from the one you prefer. But if you want my suggestion, I will tell you to go with Bigcommerce if you are a new Business starter. This is because Bigcommerce has tons of built-in features, and the user interface is so simple and smooth.

Aside from all these, Bigcommerce claims to help their merchants grow their business by 28% every year.

But if you have a very large store and want to build your store using WordPress, you can go for Woocommerce. Woocommerce helps you boost traffic in your store rapidly. Woocommerce works best if you pair it with powerful web hosts like Bluehost.

Pros & Cons Of Bigcommerce and Woocommerce

Everything has pros & cons. These two eCommerce platforms are no exceptions.

Pros Of Bigcommerce:

Numerous built-in features that exceed the competitors’ features. You don’t need to worry about hosting and managing updates.

Bigcommerce comes with a wide variety of tools in abundance. You get tools as per the plans you choose to pay for.

It has a wide range of selling platforms like Facebook, Amazon, and Instagram. And Bigcommerce has an excellent support system.

Cons Of Bigcommerce

Stores may be at a disadvantage with tight margins by the revenue-led billing.

Sometimes the editing interface gets hard to navigate.

Bigcommerce does give a fair number of themes as paid and for free as well. But most of the themes are too identical, and there is no option available for customizing them using HTML or CSS editors.

Pros Of Woocommerce

Woocommerce sets no limits in customization. If you already have some technical HTML/CSS editing skills, you can apply them to edit fantastic themes on Woocommerce. But if you are not that skilled, you can still create themes using WordPress page builder.

It is straightforward to use. Woocommerce has an enormous third-party plugin collection, and with that, versatility becomes limitless. You can also use plugins from the WordPress plugin store.

Cons Of Woocommerce

Shortage of built-in features compels you to rely on extensions. And Woocommerce has minimal user support. The platform has a wide range of users, but you cannot get support sooner if anything occurs. And you will have to resort to documentation sites and community sites for help.

Usually it takes a long time to set up, while Bigcommerce takes less. Someone with very little technical knowledge will have a tough time coping up with Woocommerece.

Conclusion

eCommerce platforms like Bigcommerce and Woocommerce are end-to-end software solutions that help online retailers to manage their business. On your online store, you can sell anything, from fast foods, clothes, electronics, the best smartphones, or the best laptop in India. To build those online stores, you will find Bigcommerce and Woocommerce helpful.

Nuezca sentenced to reclusion perpetua for murder of mom, son in Tarlac

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Dismissed cop Jonel Nuezca was found guilty over the brutal killing of a mother and son in Paniqui, Tarlac last year.

Nuezca was meted out the penalty of reclusion perpetua for each case and was ordered by the court to pay P952,560 or P476,280 in damages to the heirs of Sonya Gregorio and another P476,280 to the heirs of Frank Anthony Gregorio.

Nuezca was found guilty "beyond reasonable doubt" for 2 counts of murder over the killing of his neighbors.

The cellphone video of the killings and the testimony of the one who took it were vital in proving that Nuezca killed mother and son and it was attended with treachery, which made it murder. "The attack was so swift and sudden that the victims were not able to defend themselves."

Note that the PNP dismissed Nuezca from service in January this year.

Finally nakabalita din ng justice dto sa Pilipinas...kasi it could have been another "nanlaban" story kung walang video...sana yung isang police din na pinatay yung kapitbahay na babae ay ma sentensyahan na din...

Huwag nating pasalamatan ang justice system, pasalamatan natin yung nag video. If wala yung video, 100% sure laya pa din yan ngayon.

Serves him right for his abuse of authority. This case was out of the news for quite some time. It's good to know justice has been served. Nakakagulat kung hindi na siya na-convict.

Tapos, palalayain nila next year?

Also note: This is technically not "double murder" but 2 counts of murder.

Why not “double murder”? Here’s the explanation:

Not to be pedantic, but "double murder" might imply that it was a complex crime (i.e., only one act, but two resulting crimes). He killed the mother and the son one at a time. So, it's "two counts of murder." Penalty is two independent sentences of reclusion perpetua.

Bakit ngayon lang eh noong December PA last year Yung krimen?

In the kind of justice system that we have, convictions eight months after the crime is fairly fast. Let’s just be thankful that justice is served. Hindi naman siguro pwedeng krimen today, tapos conviction two weeks later no?

In this highly sensational case that went viral due to the captured video of the actual killings, it would have been insane if the cop was not convicted.

Minsan kasi matagal talaga ang investigations. Yung iba umaabot pa ng 10+ years.

8 months. Mabilis na yun compared sa ibang case. Considering may lockdowns pa.

It was a high profile case. Marami kasing witness (300) at defendants (200) dun.

Sana yung bata masabi pa niyang “My father is a policeman”

He was provoked by the condescending attitude of her daughter.

But an experienced and properly trained and hehaving police must never be provoked by anything around him to make the right decision. Specially if he knows the life of a person is depending on him.

Kuya Kim Atienza irks netizens for statements against Toto Mangudadatu

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Kim Atienza pertaining to Rep. Toto Mangudadatu: “When this man and his family was under attack by the Ampatuans ABS CBN was his ally and gave him all the support he needed.

“When ABS was under attack in congress, This man sided with our enemies and voted against our franchise renewal."

There's something wrong with Kim's statement. It's like implying that these politicians should be nice to the media or else... What happens to fair journalism then? Dapat ba ay may utang na loob? Susuklian ang tulong?

That statement could mean an acknowledgement that ABS-CBN was patronizing politicians and they expect blanket support in exchange for it.

Maybe because that's the right thing to do? Move on, it's your obligation to cover the news way back then. After all, your network is either paid or eventually earns from it.

Kaya pala puro bad news ibinabalita ninyo about Duterte at puro good news about dilawan kasi nasa dugo nyo ang pagiging partisan and bias na media.

That's how he feels, so be it.

Somehow, I understand why Kuya Kim is frustrated, but I'm not saying he has the right to feel that way.

Nasaan na ang "in the service of the Filipino people" ninyo Kim Atienza???

Lacson contradicts Duterte, says senators are not just posturingp

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

"Wag kayong maniwala sa mga imbestigasyon, imbestigasyon. Kita ninyo, walang nangyari puro lang, 'We will investigate.’”- Duterte

Senator Panfilo Lacson contradicted President Rodrigo Duterte’s claim that lawmakers are just "posturing" during congressional hearings and advised Duterte to focus on his administration’s “shortcomings.”

Well, on the other hand, he’s got a point. No one has gone to prison for corruption. The Senate is all talk. They need to prove him wrong and actually do something.

Water Sports Equipment: 6 Must-Know Facts

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Water sports are exciting activities to engage in, especially during summer. These sports give a next-level thrill that you cannot find on land. They’re so popular that there are even sports betting sites with slots for water sports. The IRS requires betting companies to deduct 24% of total winnings and submit as gambling winnings taxes. However, these sports are associated with some level of risk. To keep enjoying the sports, understanding various equipment and how to keep yourself safe is essential.

Understanding the Dangers That Come with Water Sports

Drowning is one of the leading causes of death in water sports. When you are at a beach, pool, or lake, ensure you practice the following swimming precautions:

  • Learn CPR techniques so you can deal with any emergencies.
  • If you don’t know how to swim, don’t get into the water.
  • Always have company when swimming.
  • Do not swim while drunk.
  • Ensure you can always spot a lifeguard while in the water.
  • Carry safety gear such as flashlights, toolbox, and maps.
  • Avoid restricted areas and obey warning signs.

It is vital to understand water sports equipment and how it works. Some widely used gear includes dry and wet suits, snorkel masks, life jackets, water skis, canoes, and wake surfers.

Dry and Wet Suits

Drysuits keep you dry while in the water or on the surface. They are made of waterproof and breathable fabric to prevent overheating. The suits are watertight and waterproof, hence keeping all the water out and keeping the body warm. Drysuits also come fitted with purge valves to let out any water that might have gotten in.

Wet suits, on the other hand, retain your body’s heat, hence providing thermal protection. They preserve the body’s heat through the suit’s material and a thin layer of water that make up a protective barrier that allows your body to stay warm for a long time. These suits come in varying thicknesses. The thicker the suit, the more warmth it can retain.

Life Jackets

Life jackets are essential to avoid drowning, hence saving your life. They come in handy in moments of disaster, whether you are a skilled swimmer or not. The jackets are available in different fits and keep you warm while in the water.

Snorkel Masks

A full-face snorkeling mask comes in handy when snorkeling due to several reasons. First, the mask helps to keep water out of your face and provides better visibility. Secondly, it allows normal breathing hence keeping you calmer.

Water Skis

Waterskiing is fun and exciting but can be dangerous if not done carefully. To avoid injury, revisit the hand signals between you and the boat operator. Also, avoid skiing at extreme speeds if you are not used to it. To prevent any accidents, remember to inspect your gear before you set out.

Canoes

Canoeing can be relaxing and fun, but it is also important to remember some safety tips on your next canoeing trip. Always carry life jackets and avoid jerky movements to prevent the canoe from flipping over. Also, avoid rocks and always stay low to avoid losing balance.

Wakesurfers

You can consider trying wake surfing if you haven’t already. But while you are on it, avoid high speeds if you are not used to wake surfing. Also, go for a clear spot to avoid collisions with other boats.

Final Thoughts

While water sports can be thrilling, they can result in dangerous accidents that can sometimes turn fatal. To avoid this, ensure you always familiarize yourself with water sports equipment before you set out. Also, as a general rule of thumb, consult a professional before using these water sports equipment.

Online shopping for an Android TV

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

I already made a choice for my Android TV purchase ... It was based mostly on convenience (ordered and paid online - though I did visit their physical branch nearby last Monday to see and compare units but there were only a few units and brands available there). The other factors like specs and price were considered as secondary.

I was also struggling whether to pick an Android TV or a Smart TV...aside from the screen size whether to pick the smaller and thus cheaper sizes or get the bigger sizes of 50" and above. My worries was a large screen may be too difficult to hang on the wall since it may be too heavy for me. But I still ended up getting the latter...I'll just get help somehow rather than choosing almost the same size as our existing Smart TV. I just really wanted to experience something new. A new toy to reward myself for being a good boy.

So I ordered online, and the expected delivery date is at the end of the month (August) or so I thought....Though I had no worries if ever it takes longer since I'm not really in a hurry. We just wanted a bigger screen to watch videos aside from our laptops or mobile phones.

However, I once ordered a fully automatic washing machine from the same online store last year, but got the item earlier than the estimated delivery dates. Got the item in just three days. Therefore, there's a possibility the TV would also be delivered earlier than the estimated dates (after six days onwards)

Update: I was notified that the delivery is already scheduled Thursday meaning it only took three days from the day (Tuesday) when I ordered online at abenson.com.

Wow! Ang bilis talaga! Thanks Abenson, you've been making my appliance shopping a lot easier.

eSports Shoutcaster Dunoo, brainchild of 'Lakad Matatag', passes away due to COVID-19

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

It is a sad day for the Dota community and Filipino esports as we have lost one of our voices.

It is with a heavy heart that we inform everyone about the passing of shoutcaster Aldrin "Dunoo" Pangan. Hi's legacy will forever be immortalized in the halls of esports history.

One of the iconic Filipino caster duo behind "Lakad Matatag" passed away from COVID-19.

For those unfamiliar, Boss Dunoo was half of the duo that gave us the lines that @OGesports and all of us love to spam - Lakad Matatag, Easiest Money of my Life, etc. He is an absolute icon and legend in the PH casting scene for his energy and creativity.

He brought Filipino casting to the world stage, igniting the trademark "lakad matatag, normalin normalin!" to everyone's ears.

Lakad matatag divided our Dota 2 experience into before and after. Chat wheel wouldn't have been the same without this man.

His passion for PH Dota and the PH teams was unrivaled.  Filled me with hype any time I listened to his snippets. Honor him by making all his voicelines permanent.

The fact that he was the guy behind five most memorable chatwheel in Dota cements his passion to this game with his casts. Without him I would never knew about Lakad Matatag, OG spams the chatwheel and Gaben even said it in TI8 opening. Truly a legend and literal GOAT.

Gaben should consider putting back the Lakad Matatag Chatwheel in his memory. That's the least thing in Dota community can do in his memory.

Shard seasonal treasure fall collection will start this September. It would be great if we can bring back lakad matatag chat wheel on guild rewards so players can spam it at the beginning of the game and show their respect to Dunno.

Titans fall but are never forgotten. Lakad matatag till the end. His legacy will echo slamma jamma for years to come.

Lakad matatag, Kuya D. Lakad matatag in peace Dunoo, you will be missed.

Lakad matatag, Kuya D.

He changed the PH Dota 2 esports scene and made so many amazing contributions to the community. A big inspiration to many gamers up until this day.

A super huge loss to the world... My condolences to all his friends and supporters who's also been through a lot. I can't imagine how devastated you guys are with all this...

Nakaka inis sa totoo lang. This fuckin' virus... and everything about covid. Fuck covid, and fuck the incompetents who are robbing this country of so many bright futures.

I'm not someone who's in the Esports scene, but I'm a witness to how Kuya D works.

I have nothing but utmost respect and admiration to how he does his passion and hussle and how big of a contribution he has on this world, especially to PH Esports. Nothing will be the same without him.

Lakad Matatag. Normalin, Normalin.

He was the legendary voice that transcended language barriers. The voice of our best esports moments. One of the greatest Pinoy shoutcasters who's ever lived.

Today, we could only wish there's a buyback in life. Sana may buy-back sa tunay na buhay..yung tipong iipon ka ng good deeds...do good and be good...and if it is enough... pwede ka mag buy-back...

kahit once lang...

Thanks for everything, Dunoo. "Lakad matatag" will be immortalized in the DOTA annals...

Can't really believe na wala na si Kuya D, the most explosive caster in pinoy dota. Lon-Dunno tandem is no more. RIP kuya D.

Keep safe everyone. We don't respawn neither can buyback in this world.

Nadine Lustre and Mang Tomas in Siargao

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Nadine doing the most mundane things become news headlines. Last year pumila lang sya sa grocery ng naka-mask daming articles na lumabas. This time bumili lang ng Mang Tomas. That's what you call relevance.

Who would ever think that buying a bottle of sauce (Mang Tomas) would be the talk  of the town in all social media outlets. The power of   Nadine  Lustre.

Ang cute ni Nadine parang nene

Trending si babygirl sa Facebook, most shared sa feed today, “sana all daw fresh while buying Mang Tomas”.

This pandemic has made my blogging so boring. Nagsawa na ko sa pagiging Plantito dahil I've already planted on every available pot at our home. There's no more space to plant.

We've also tried baking sushi bakes, muffins, baked lasagna and macaroni, etc., with the oven that we bought.

So.please bear with me if I'm actively ranting online against this f*cking administration and almost every controversy out there.

Is your tap water safe to drink?

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

When residents of Michigan turned on their taps back in 2014, they encountered an unpleasant brown sludge that tasted like metal.

In India, tap water looks clear, but when you investigate the data, India is ranked 120th out of 122 nations for its quality of water.

In the Philippines, we feel our tap water is safe to drink because it looks clear and it tastes normal. To some extent, it is true because if water is clear it means there are no visible suspended impurities present in your water and it tastes normal because the TDS(Total dissolved solids) level in your water is within acceptable levels.

The best way to tell exactly what's in our water is to have it professionally tested, but there are a few ways to screen for contaminants using our senses.

Here are some signs that your tap water might not be safe to drink.

Check for cloudiness

Water that's safe to drink should ideally be clear with no odor or funny taste. One way to tell if water is contaminated is to look for turbidity, or cloudiness. While cloudy water isn't necessarily dangerous to your health, it could signal the presence of unsafe pathogens or chemicals.

Yellow, orange, or brown water is never a good sign.

Yellow water could signal the presence of chromium-6, the cancer-causing chemical that resulted in a lawsuit filed by clean water advocate Erin Brockovich. It might also be a sign of a buildup of iron, manganese, copper, or lead. If your water comes from a public system, check to see whether the yellow tint only appears while running cold water, which could be a sign that your utility is simply clearing out its pipes.

Water that's orange or brown could also contain excess iron, manganese, or lead, or signal the presence of rust, which can breed bacteria.

Smells like bleach

Chlorine is deliberately added to most water supply to kill germs and pathogens, but when it mixes with other organic compounds it can create a few harmful byproducts.

One of these byproducts, a group of chemicals known as trihalomethanes (THMs), has been linked to kidney problems and increased cancer risk. Another, known as haloacetic acids (HAAs), causes skin irritation and could also increase cancer risk.

Low levels of chlorine in the water system can also expose people to a parasite called giardia that causes diarrhea, cramps, and nausea.

Water that smells like bleach could be a sign of excess chlorine in your local system.

The smell of rotten eggs

Water that smells like sewage or rotten eggs could contain hydrogen sulfide, a colorless gas that can naturally occur in groundwater. When this gas is exposed to certain bacteria, it converts into sulfate, which can cause dehydration or diarrhea.

water smells fishy

Fishy-smelling water could signal an excess of barium, a naturally-occurring chemical that can seep into a water supply through drilling or manufacturing. When barium is present above the EPA's recommended levels, it could cause increased blood pressure, muscle weakness, or kidney, liver, and heart damage.

Water that smells fishy might also contain cadmium, a chemical found in lead and copper ores, which often leaches into pipes through industrial waste. Exposure to elevated levels of cadmium in drinking water can cause kidney, liver, and bone damage.

Water is the lifeline of any home especially for us Filipinos. Beyond drinking it, we use it to bathe, cook and clean things like dishes and clothes. That makes having clean, quality water all the more important. Depending on the source of the water, it can contain various degrees of harmful contaminants like chemicals, sediments and organic matter. Even treated water sources from cities and towns might not be in the best condition. This is where a home water filter system can be handy. These systems take the water that enters your home from a single source and treats it to remove these various harmful contaminants.
